Clearly the Application on the website needs work. Not very user friendly and difficult to navigate. I was able to complete the check out and return (almost // and never got my return confirmation). I am a 20 year technology professional and I am here to tell you the technically inept would have given up. Specifically, navigation // hyperlinks // and selections for different processes. I never saw the original contract or fuel quantity // mileage from the initial check-out. I actually didn't use roadside assistance and I cannot uncheck the box. THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW A SYSTEM SHOULD NOT WORK ... AND NOW i CANNOT COMPLETE THE PAGE WITHOUT FILLING IN THESE BOXES !!!!

Don't put all the high extra charges that take renting a truck from 19.95 $ to 81$ even with a gas credit if 27$ cause it wasn't in a quarter of a tank so all the extra charges over 60 and all the charges we're explained to me

Bring the price down it cost me 400 to rent a 15' truck i had to pay for two days i got it at 4:30 on Saturday and i could have had it back on Sunday AT 5:30 and they said bring it back Monday morning and charged me for two days

I had a pickup scheduled for 9am. The office was closed when I arrived. Once inside, the procedure took too long. The vehicle had a check engine light on. When I returned the truck, the office was closed at 2 pm. I left the key in a designated box. I was instructed to use an online app first, but I don't use my phone for internet. I have not received an invoice for charges yet. Overall, the experience was not good.

I brought truck back at 1:15, but had to leave it because proprietor had closed to go to the post office. Sign on door said “back at 2:30”. I came back then and waited until he came back at 2:40. Office was hard to find.

We had a horrible time using the app and making sense of the directions. We are app-literate people, but the whole system was confusing and we had to do steps 4, 5, even 6 times before they would be accepted. Frustrating!!!!

Get rid of moving help movers that were offered to me in beginning. Be more attentive to your customers when U-Haul books service but when things went wrong tried to pass it off saying affiliate problem when all arrangements and payments were done with U-Haul itself. It ended up costing me more money with damage and finding new movers. Also the mileage provided was not correct and short when I went directly to location and to rental shop. No stops or anything so mileage provided was wrong and ended with extra fee.

Post hours of operation more clearly. New hours were posted, but on the office door which wasn't accessible to the public unless you had a code to access the property. Thw storage facility hours showed 6am to 9pm, but no UHaul hours were visible until the gates opened and you entered the grounds.

When you take money off someone's card dont take it instantly assuming that would be the final cost because it could be less and the refund process should be instantly not 2-6 days later because when my card was used you guys got paid instantly I shouldn't have to wait 2-6 to get the refund of the overcharge on your part,not a happy customer

The app for checking in did not work very well so I had to check in at the office. The app required two pieces of information, one of which was a photo of my passport which was not mentioned in the initial online reservation. Even Paul who completed the check in at the office was surprised about the passport requirement.

I reserved my 28ft truck in advance of my moving date of October 17th. I ended up having to speak to a representative because I could not find one available online in an area near me. He was very helpful and found me a one way truck in El Cajon. And while this was well out of my way, it seemed the better deal price wise as I was moving to Anaheim and did not want to pay the mileage to return the equipment.  I received and made note of the information found in the confirmation email which included the El Cajon location and pick up time at 8am. The day of the move, as I was on my way to pick up the truck, I received a call from another representative confirming my reservation for a truck to be picked up in Alpine, which was even further away than El Cajon. I was not happy at all and could not understand why the change was not communicated to me sooner. The rep had no answers and did his best to locate something closer. He could not and I was directed to Alpine...at this point I had no choice. He added bonus miles to cover the distance and applied a bit of a discount for which I was grateful. We retrieved the truck from Alpine. Did the walk through only to find out that the listed starting mileage was incorrect and so was the amount of fuel the truck was said to have. I called the rep again as the clerk who assisted us was nowhere to be found, he stated he would change it in the contract. We returned the truck to the facility we were told to by the clerk at Alpine, only to find out that we had, in fact, received the wrong vehicle.  I have now received about 4 receipts with differing amounts. 2 of which seem to charge me for dropping the truck off at the wrong place. Say what now? I still have no idea how much I was charged for this rental and since I was given the wrong vehicle, do not understand why I am being charged for dropping it off at the wrong facility... To be honest, while the employees were nice and I certainly tried to be as pleasant as possible under the circumstances, this was a hott mess experience. Consider me an extremely unhappy customer. I do hope this is not the norm,

Customer service rep was rude and didn't understand how online check in worked. Gave me the wrong dolly and was very dismissive. I was charged extra, and when I called support to advise, all they said was that they would notate the account, not do anything about any type of refund.

the self check in process was horrible, took almost an hour, after waiting and waiting for all the steps to be finished and we finally got the combination to the lock box there was no key in the box, after sitting on hold for a long time waiting we went to the truck and found another lock, used the workd we were given and it opened the key inside, no one ever told us that, we were told the key was in the lock box at the office, this process needs to be made easier there was also another person going through the same problems when he opened the lock box his key was there

You advertise $19.99 plus mileage but don't tell you how much the mileage is & then they tell you it is only for 4 hours. So my $19.99 rental which took 6 hours and 60 miles cost me $125.00! I'm never using U-Haul again!!!
