My complaint is against the UHaul Moving and Storage at University of Missouri - I had a reservation last weekend # 20851372 Robert Wilson - I was advised on 05/28 that my reserved equipment (that was reserved months in advance!) was not available in the immediate area and that I would have to drive 50 miles round trip to Booneville MO to pick up the equipment I required. My original reservation did not request Safe Tow - however, the Booneville location added Safe Tow and charged me an additional $30. I did not order this and did not want this service. I would like an immediate refund of $30 to my credit card. Also your "$50 guarantee if your equipment is not available" statement on you web site - I guess that policy only applies if you totally screw a customer, not just inconvenience them with a 50 miles and an hour out of his way trip! This has been a horrible customer experience. With a standing reservation months in advance, seems my equipment would be there, or YOU would go to Booneville and pick it up. I returned the truck on Easter Sunday, the location wasn't open. There wasn't a lot of room to park because of all the other returned uhaul trucks and trailers.

Overall this experience was satisfactory. The issue that I had was that the owner of the facility called at 11:00 AM, stating that he was closing up early and needed me to be there before 1:00 PM. I work or an hour away, I did not know ahead of time he was closing up early and so it made it somewhat inconvenient. The drop off/return was convenient. There were some documents posted that were biased towards a particular religion and political pins that expressed some specific political views. That made me somewhat uncomfortable. I understand that this is a privately owned location. The owner was polite and pleasant to work with.

1st actually pick up the phone and call your dealerships and let them know a customer is on the way so we the customer doesn't have to wait for an hour,,2nd have your dealerships check equipment like tires, they shouldn't go out unfixed especially if the pick up place is a mechanic shop. Finally when your district people give something to customers, the should keep ALL of what they say they are going to do, not just some of the things that they said.

Lower your rates, $1,256.00 + $100 for insurance WOW I think $1,256.00 is a bit much just to borrow a truck to drive, the only thing you're doing is supplying the truck you're not paying for gas it doesn't cost you anything and I've been using U-Haul for many decades.

First of all the initial place I was told to pick up my Uhaul was not the place that I was supposed to pick it up. I did not get a text message until the day of pick up telling me where to pick it up at. If I had not investigated on my own we would not have known where to go. I was unable to get my contract except by email because Stan's computer was not working. Stan was very rude when we pulled up to pick up the vehicle.

Rental Truck had not been filled to the required gas return amount when it was picked up for use, and I was not financially compensated for that. Also, the truck was dirty on the inside (clearly had not been swept out by previous user, or by pick up location employee). I also ordered 3 dozen U-haul blankets as part of my reservation. Being accustom to receiving clean and fresh blankets in plastic I was shocked to see that all blankets at this location (Boonville, MO) were being kept out of plastic wrap, in a side locked closet space attached to this gas station/auto repair shop. The blankets were sitting on wooden pallets, uncovered, poorly folded, with dirt, grass, and dried leaves around them, and on many blankets I was given. Of the 3 dozen ordered, 6 were not usable due to filth. Also, the owner of the store was rude when we arrived early (even though he stated the earlier we could arrive the better-for him), and struggled to work the U-haul computer system, or offer to call U-haul when there was a discrepancy regarding our reservation.

Uhaul did not have the 26 ft truck there for me like I was guaranteed. Very dissatisfied with Uhaul not with the location. I received confirmation of reservation but you did not deliver.
