Start to finish this was a nightmare. They guaranteed a U-Haul that wasn't available. Then set me up way a return location that was an hours from me. Versus the one that was 15 minutes from me. No one cared. No one helped. U-Haul Sucks!!!!

I rented a vehicle in Belchertown. Showed up and there were zero vehicles available. Went to Hadley instead and the process to actually get the truck was nearly an hour.

This was, by far, my best U-Haul experience. My questions were answered quickly, there was parking for my car while I was using the van. The van was clean, cleared of snow, and even warmed up for my arrival. Just terrific!

No one was at the rental location to take care of reservations, etc. I found out from a local that knows the owner that the owner was having surgery. In the future, rental locations should not be available for clients to choose from if they're not really going to be available.

I believe we need a warning on the back of the truck reading that please close the door completely. The back door opened on the way if I didn't close it completely. It's super dangerous.

The location was great. However, I had to call customer service en route and it was an awful experience. I waited on hold for 15 minutes to ask a simple question about how tolls work. The person who first answered heard my question and immediately transferred me with no information. I had to wait on hold for another 15 minutes to ask my question. I got an answer, but the answer did not hold true to what happened. The rep told me that there was a sensor in the truck that would allow us to go through all tollbooths just like my EZ pass transponder. However, that did not happen. Luckily we were cautious and went through a lane that had both options or else we would have been stuck in a lane unable to move because of the gate arm. Thoroughly disappointing. And the process of paying for tolls is ridiculous. $1 charge for each toll is extremely expensive, and given that there's no way to pay for it ourselves (using our transponder for example) it's quite limiting.

The location was closed that day due to a family emergency by the people who run it. So we tried to use the online instructions to return the rental. Oh my god, your online site is awful; it refused to recognize we were allowing location services and we wasted over an hour, going back home, loading the app, and trying again. Your people are great. Your online service is GARBAGE. Hire more people, and pay them well; that's how you can improve things for your next customer.
