The reservation process was difficult. When I reserved the van I selected the Migson Public Storage location @ 2356 Gerrard Street E, Toronto because I don't have a car so was able to walk there. When I got there they didn't have a vehicle for me and I realized I was redirected. This was really inconvenient as I had to arrange a ride to the other location and lost time on the rental.

I had to call the numbers listed on the board outside the store, and I was told to call a different number . The finally picked up the truck. The CDW price was different in store which is not a big deal but it should have been up front and similar to online prices. After returning the truck with even more fuel than originally, I was charged for cleaning which I was not told in the beginning. Even though I returned the truck in pristine condition there was no mess. Thank you

Rented dolly no dolly had to buy one. Very unprofessional of U-Haul to have it on their website to rent and then get to the place and they don't have any because uhaul does not supply it.

Nothing against SSR Towing, but U-Haul called me an hour before I was due to pick up my truck, telling me it wasn't available at the location at which I'd reserved it at. So SSR Towing helped me out by getting me a truck on short notice.

When I arrived at the location at my scheduled time, the vehicle was not available! It had not been returned yet. Fortunately after about 10 minutes, the person there was able to help me get another vehicle. After hours mobile drop off was convenient.

Head office cancelled my original reservation for a 10' box truck for a cargo van last minute. Upon returning the vehicle this location neglected to ask me about insurance and charged me, then charged me a cleaning fee because some dust was on the floor near the gas pedal

WARNING!!! YOU MUST DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO AVOID THIS LOCATION! WHATEVER EQUIPMENT YOU RESERVE TO PICK UP FROM THIS LOCATION THEY WILL NOT HAVE AVAILABLE TO YOU WHEN YOU GO TO PICK UP YOUR TRUCK! UHAUL YOU NEED TO REMOVE THIS TOWING COMPANY FROM YOUR BRAND NAME IT IS BUILDING A BAD REPUTATION FOR YOUR COMPANY! I saw the reviews the day before I needed to get my truck and instantly knew I was in for a bad next day, I called customer service and tried my best to find another option for a rental but I couldn't get another truck the size I needed in all of the GTA. I called Uhaul at this location that day at 4:53pm as their location closed at 5pm. They were suppose to contact me to let me know my reservation was ready. When I talked to the rep from this location I was told to come pickup the keys the day before as I was planning to use the 24/7 rental pickup. They were going to just hand over the keys without me going through any of the paperwork to show I was reserving this truck which I'm sure was not part of Uhauls protocols and procedures. As I hoped in my car to leave to pickup the keys they call me back and let me know not to come because they're manager wouldn't allow it......He said call me at 6:30am tmr for your pickup to get the keys. Next day I get to the location and call exactly at 6:30am, this is the only thing that went well as the rep did pickup phone soon as I called. He said, "Give me 2 mins and I will call you back I have someone on location to handover the rental." I waited probably around 2 mins and one of the late shift towing guys opens up the door and asks me what truck I'm renting, I told him the 26ft truck. He proceeded to get the truck for me, which was behind a locked fenced gate behind the business. He pulls it up, hops out, and says "Here you go, it SHOULD be ready to go." I open the back of the truck.....this is where the nightmare begins, in my reservation I reserved 3 furniture dollys, 2 utility dollys. and 24 furniture pads. Yet when I open the back of the truck there is absolutely nothing in the truck. I tell the towing guy, "Hey where's all the stuff I'm suppose to have to help me for my move? he says, "I don't know I only do towing part for this company, and I don't take care of Uhaul." I call the Uhaul rep for this location 10 sec later and ask where is all my equipment for my rental. He says to let me talk to the Towing guy, and he starts to tell him to search the building for whatever I needed. I ended up having to look for this stuff with the towing guy inside their building, we were able to find the furniture pads and utility dollys but they had no furniture dollys. I talked to my brother-in-law and we decided not to deal with customer service at the time because we didnt want to waste anymore time on the move and thought we could manage with just the utility dollys. This ended up costing us greatly when we did do the move, I would say added at least 2 to 3 hours to the move not having all the proper equipment. The towing guy tried to help but the Uhaul rep was lazy, unprepared, and pushy. It appears he wants get fired soon really soon.

I was very disappointed with the new app I was charged 72.00 for two hours of use. I was charged $25.00 for insurance when I am covered for rentals on my plan and when I when to tell your company they told me it policy. I've always used uhaul in the past but I think is is the last time.

Don't make the mistake of ever using this location. The people who run this branch are plain and simple, liars and thieves. I had a bad feeling from the moment I arrived at the place. They had zero info on my order, finally came up with the Dozen moving blankets I placed on the order - I reconfirmed the cost for a dozen moving blankets@ $10.00, low and behold they charged me an extra 10 bucks on the receipt. They also added an $8.00 'cleaning charge' Uh huh. Liars and thieves. Additionally, some creepy character that worked at the location when I returned the truck asked me where I take my car for 'service' and then launched into a 10 minute speech on his brothers mechanic shop. When i phoned the place and questioned them about the additional charges, they hung up. I called uhaul, the lady I spoke with was great, and they processed a refund. Again, don't make the mistake of ever using this location.

I was overcharged for a few things. I did not agree to insurance, and I was charged for it. I was also charged a cleaning fee, when I made sure that I cleaned the truck after use. When I spoke to them, they said it was my responsibility to take pictures of the van beforehand. The person did not even do a walk through of the van, he just gave me the keys. I was able to get my money back for the insurance, but not the cleaning fee.

Booked a cargo van online. Explicidly indicated that I do NOT want insurance. No one asked me anything about insurance at pick up. Returned the van in 2 hours fueled up and clean. I am very disappointed that I have been charged $18 insurance. Called SSR Towing - response was "I am sorry I am in lunch break (at 3.00 pm?) please call me in 45 minutes"... What else to say. There is room for improvement.

The contactless check in was absolute garbage. Went through all the steps online, got confirmation calls, then waited for instructions on getting the key and then it was silence. Went inside and the man working didn't even see my reservation until he called someone else and received instructions. Delayed the pick up by 30mins

The reception guy is really rude. And I use online check in but I have to wait for giving truck key. He was upset about U-haul system down but it not my fault. Why was he upset to me?? If you wanna enjoy moving day, please don't use this service shop. Also this shop has 2 locations. I booked the truck at another location but I have to come here. It too tricky.

You can disallow this location from representing Uhaul. We actually did not rent from here. We tried to reserve a van but the employee reserved a truck by mistake with our credit card. When we pointed out her error, she then put us into the general Uhaul system and we waited for another location with our desired vehicle, which we did rent. This location charged us a rental fee anyway. This is not our first issue with this location. They are thieves and we are in the process of getting our money back and requesting that they no longer represent Uhaul.

Do not offer items such as a dolly if you do not actually have them available. Do not offer mobile pick up and then assign a truck number that doesn't exist. Have the trucks inspected more often. First truck we got (after waiting an hour at the location since the truck number you assigned was not actually there) had a burnt out rear brake light and a burnt out rear turn signal. Had to return to the location to exchange the truck for one that had working lights. Would have been very dangerous had we not had the good sense to check these things ourselves. Did not end up getting the truck until nearly 2 hours after my original reservation time. Very poor customer service. After waiting on hold for a half hour on the phone, the repetition I spoke to was rude and dismissive. He was clearly distracted by other things. Could hear him speaking to his wife / children in the background when he was supposed to be helping me with my issue. Demanded my credit card info without giving me a breakdown of the charges. Also was never told to refill the gas tank on the truck above the level at which I got it. You charged me an extra $32 for 1/8 of a tank of gas !! Which probably only costs about $6 to replace. Plus you charge per km driven (which I assumed was to cover the gas charges). This experience with uhaul was an absolute nightmare. Will definitely be using a different rental truck company for future moving needs.

I returned the trailer a day early I was only supposed to pay $165 and minus the day but they charged me $220. The service sucks I will never go back there again and will now try to rent from another company. Even U-Haul .com would not help. Overall worst renting experience ever

I was shown a quote on the service that I chosen and the bill tripled. Although I enquired from the representatives on the charges I was told to call uhaul. And I haven't yet to receive a bill. The vehicle was dirty
