When I chose the pickup time, U-haul forced me to use the online check-in service since it was before the business's hours of operation. The day of my reservation I went to pick up the van but the online check-in said I had to wait an hour and a half for the business to open even though they said I could check in online and complete the process contactless. The keys were locked in a box and I was never given the code and the code was not provided in the portal, via email or cell. On top of that, I ordered a 10' truck along with a dolly and furniture mats and was given a 9' truck with no extra materials. There was no communication to me that I would not be provided what I had ordered. This is unacceptable and I will not be renting from uhaul ever again.Sydney M.
This location is inside of a liquor store where there is no outside sign on the premises. It took me 45 mins. To find because there are no signs posted to tell you where it is. I think there could be another way to make the pubic aware of the locationdeborah C.
This location was in a sketchy neighborhood, and there was absolutely ZERO signage to inform customers that the Uhaul rentals are conducted by the liquor store cashiers! The only way to know it was even the right place was that there were a couple UHaul trucks out frontâ€"otherwise I would never have figured it was the correct location. Furthermore, there was no physical review of the truck; they basically handed me the keys and sent me on my way. I was extremely annoyed to be given a truck that was an additional 50% larger than the one I had reserved (I was driving by myself and am not at all experienced in operating large vehicles), and the lack of concern on the part of the uhaul staff was extremely annoying. An apology for my inconvenience to have the pick-up location AND the size of the truck changed an hour before my scheduled pick-up time would have been the least they could do. Ideally, there would have been some sort of discount to take into account the additional mileage (the new pick-up location was twice as far away) and additional gas costs associated with the much larger truck. Altogether, it was a pretty poor experience and not at all what you want to deal with when managing a tricky move.Amanda B.

Picking up a Uhaul rental from a liquor store seemed a bit odd, I picked up a auto transport trailer, nobody assisted me to ensure I was hooking it up correctly to my vehicle and I was charged for insurance that I did not ask for or even told about until I reviewed my bill when I got home, I literally had to sign the paperwork on a box of Vodka.Jeff T.
You said I could reserve my truck from my phone and I couldn't. I had my reservation at 8:30 and the place didn't open till 10 so I had to wait for 1.5 hours because it wouldn't let me from my phone.Jessica D.

Pickup/ drop off location changed without telling me which added a total of 10 miles to my trip (almost $20). Truck sounded like it was going to blow up. Brakes hardly worked. Cost way more than I thought it would.Kristen M.
We had a reservation for 10 a.m using the 24 hour mobile pick up. We couldn't get our truck until 12:30 p.m, which caused a lot of scheduling issues the rest of the day. When we complained to the person he pretty much told us â€œoh wellâ€ and that our inconvenience wasn't his fault, it was U-Haul and he couldn't do anything about it.Kyle B.
Elaborate on charges that are thrown into the bill such as NJ Domestic Security Fee and Environmental Fee. These fees should be paid by U-Haul, not by the customer. You've ripped me off.Peter B.

The instructions for mobile pick up are a joke. It took us two hours to get our u-haul even with a reservation, which was supposed to be spent on packing. The confirmation text didnt happen until our pick up window passed.Sean H.

Online system is horrible. Currently disputing an error of your employer. Took over an hour to RETURN the truck waiting for him to figure out the computer. Manager was called and also couldn't address issue. BEYONDDD FRUSTRATING!!! Will never return!!katrina B.
Confusion about pickup location after online and in person reservation inexcusable. Ordered one dozen moving blankets but only five available. Went to alternate pickup location and no blankets available. Had to go back to original location and live with what was available. Also alternate location provider cancelled my reservation for a truck when I became upset with this waste of my time. Will try another company if I need a truck again. U-Haul needs to limit themselves to providers that know what they are doing and know how to use the U-Haul on line tools.Ulrich L.

Were not organized. Asked me multiple questions about my rental although information was available to them. Asked for multiple references / phone numbers at time of rental. Selected option "I don't know where I will be returning" and indicated I could return it to a place of my choosing. Later I received a text message telling me where I had to return the truck. Not fault of this location, but I reserved a truck at a closer location and the day before rental, they forced me to change to this location due to equipment availability.John B.

Some regional headquarters person from Illinois called me to ask about my truck I rented. I told him I just worked six nights in a row since I rented the truck to suddenly move grandson and daughter into my home and had slept only 6 hrs in 72 hrs . That I hurt my back loading the truck. He threatened to call police and report truck stolen when I said I was not sure when I could fully unload and return it given my back hurting and lack of sleep. It isn't good customer service to treat me so badly. I probably will not use uhaul ever again now.Carolann P.
