Joel K.I called the location on the first day of my rental to learn how to drop off my rental after hours. The first day of my rental was a Saturday. The location was closed on Sunday. The person I spoke with insured me they will check in the car on Monday when they return to work and date the return for Sunday. On Tuesday I got a call from U-Haul saying the rental had not been checked in for return. Furthermore, the return location marked down that the rental was returned on Monday when in fact it was returned the day before. As a result, I was charged for an extra day.

Charlie B.The process was smooth and staff professional and helpful. The only improvement I can suggest relates to dropping off the trailer. The lot is small and backing to the drop space not possible because of the size of pickup (3500). It would have been easier if the all vehicles were parked in a line, instead of in an "L" fashion, which prevented me from utilizing that part of the lot to get the angle I needed to back in.

VINCENT S.The details of the rental were different tan expected at booking. The aim seamed to get me to return the vehicle to a site other than the one I booked the rental for.. It seemed deceptive and would have added significant costs to my rental.
Andrew S.You can improve by having more equipment in locations closer to where i requested a pick up. With so many locations close to me, there no reason to travel 40 minutes from my house to pick up any equipment.
Ernesto C.Although the people were extremely nice and helpful they are not a real u haul service center. They have no trailer equipment. I did not have the right size hitch ball and they do not sell them. Due to time contraints I was forced to rent a truck. Despite giving them the town where I was taking the truck they underestimated the miles so the cost was double what I was told.

I'm guessing U haul company is not asking questions about their own performance to avoid bad reviews. I rented the trailer at a location close to my house at a specific time because that is the location that showed availability of the trailer i wanted. the day before my pick up i received an email that indicated a pick up location more than an hour from my house with a pick up time an hour later than i reserved. after several phone calls to U Haul with no empathy to my situation i was able to get in touch with the new pick up location and finally got some answers and help. however i was forced to rent an additional day and pick it up a day early because U Haul changed my reservation. when i finally got the trailer home U Haul company called me to ask if i would be willing to change my drop off location. i simply answered with my story and told the person i would be happy to drop it somewhere else if i were compensated for my extra day to which they told me to just drop it at my original location. a clear message that U Haul doesn't care about customer service or their customers experience at all. I will end this review with my comment to the sales rep when she asked if i wanted to talk to customer service. "I don't need to talk to anyone i have already made my decision to never rent from U haul again.

Gregg B.I requested blankets and they were none in the vehicle vehicle still had refuse and garbage in it from the last user of the vehicle and I was overcharged by your company in order to go to a location that was much farther way based on the fact that the vehicle was not made available at a closer location That I originally booked and then was subsequently changed to another location without my consent and with no real thought as to how it would affect my experience and no ability to drop the vehicle off at any other location

Kevin T.Better assessment with reservations. I reserved a 26' truck 2 weeks prior to be picked up in Orange NJ. Then 12 hours before I was told I wouldn't be getting the truck. I had to drive 82 miles to pick up a 20' truck from Sparta.
