No one was at Southside Towing when we arrived at our pickup time, and so we called the person on call and they said they were sending someone to us, but that we were supposed to make an appointment with them, which no one told us. We waited for awhile, called twice more and finally an hour after our pickup time, someone came and got us. Apparently the guy that got called came in the back entrance and didn't bother to tell us he was there. Once we were inside, service was slow, and he didn't seem to have any idea of what he was doing. He was very nice, but seemed clueless. I've done other business with Southside Towing and it has never been a great experience.

Dropped off rental after closing, but the building was well marked and easy to find the drop box

I think your gas situation is awful. Why not be like rental cars, return full and quit messing with add 6.4 gallons when you return to be at the same level you were when you started your rental. I ended up eating 3/8 of a tank because in the first 60 miles the gas gage dropped 1/4 of a tank. As I was traveling later in the evening and driving in northern MN I didn’t want to have to stop multiple times so I filled the tank after 60 miles into my drive with over 160 miles left to go I figured that if I was using 1/4 of a tank every 60 miles I would have been ok. Wrong. After filling I only used a little over 1/4 of a tank to go the last 160 miles. Gage way out of wack!

A piece of equipment I had ordered was not on site (I think there was an error in tracking what equipment was availabable and needed where) but someone went to another location to pick it up. This caused a half hour delay but the staff was very hospitable and helpful from the time I arrived.

Make sure vehicles are on well working order prior to renting. Customer service folks were friendly and quick.

You should have the truck filled up before renting it out. I ended up with more gas in the truck than when I received it. I have always received rentals with a full tank, and then returned it with a full tank....much easyier.

The tail lights on the trailer were not working. We had to purchase magnetic lights to make it road safe. Rechecked the connection when we got home and it was the trailer, not our towing vehicle.

Go to southside towing and recovery during the week and not during the weekend, the staff was not knowledgeable when it came to uhaul information. Took 40 minutes to get my truck. Uhaul billing promised me a free upgrade to a different truck since my selection wasn’t available, but that didn’t happen until I had to call back on Monday. There was one hold that was on my bank account that was correct, but two more holds on my account which affected my account, which left me unable to make other transactions in fear of overdraft. Not looking forward to using uhaul again.
