Southside storage was amazing!! Christine went above and beyond to help us after the Old Seward location told us they would not honor the reservation we had for a 10x10 storage unit, which had been confirmed at the time we rented our $3600 truck rental. They told us we could have a smaller unit.......and what were we to do with the rest of our stuff? Employee gave us the manager's number and told us if we wanted a 10x10 unit, we could go to the Boundry location. We went to Boundry and after almost an hour we got a storage unit on the 2nd floor, far away from the elevator with no carts anywhere to be found. The building had one elevator and we waited nearly 10min to go up one time to our unit. There was no way we could hand carry in a 15 foot truck's worth of furniture and boxes. This is where Christine came in and saved the day! She drove back to Southside after they had closed to get us a unit. She was amazing. I called the toll free number to express concerns on the fact that our reservation was not honored and was told I would get a call back from the manager from the Old Seward location within 3 days. To this day, still no response. I did get a call from the Boundry location to verify why I had not used the unit, which I had told the clerk at the counter, and they wrote down the cancellation of the unit the same day I had signed up for it. I explained to the person on the phone what happened and was told I would get a call back about the reservation not being honored, but have not heard back. We wasted 3 hours of our time trying to get a storage unit we should have already had, times 3 people......that is 9 hours! We then had to pay for a rental unit when it was supposed to be free for the first month with our uhaul rental. We would like management from Uhaul to call us to discuss our extreme dissatisfaction with the Old Seward location. I can be reached at 907.242.6708. The excellent rating is for Southside Storage. The Silverton location would get an average rating (they forgot the pads and dolly and truck was not accessible as another truck was blocking it.) The Old Seward location is the reason for the poor rating as I am highly disappointed with their service and their care less attitude that they did not have a unit for us. They could have offered us two small units to make up for the size we were supposed to have, but they did nothing but send us off to the other side of town.Jeff H.

Add windshield fluid to the vehicle or buy the one that is -30 so it works. Was a little hard to see through glacier silt on the glass.matthew T.
The check out was great, very easy. However, when we went to return it, we called to find out how much gas to put in, the representative told us to fill it up, which was inaccurate. We filled it when we had barely used a gallon. Appropriate clarity would be helpful when called about gas fill up. This added $50.00 to the rental unnecessarily. The question we were asking was where the gas gauge indicated when we rented, but the information we received when we called was that we had to fill the tank. Not helpful or correct.camille B.

Not much in my life is perfect, but this whole transaction went perfectly. I am glad I found out about the location because it's a whole lot more convenient than the location next to AA The Shop. The person running it is a lot more friendly too as well as being efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. I am sure the lack of signage to find this has been mentioned before......Mark D.

Within days of renting from UHaul and giving them my cell phone number as a contact, I began receiving spam text messages. I have never received messages like these until now. I assume that UHaul must sell their cell phone database on the open market. Be aware of that before you give them your personal data.Jonathan H.
I checked in online but when I got to the location I waited at least half an hour to be helped. Only one person working front desk. She had to answer phones, do pick ups, drop offs, etc. when I dropped off van it went really fast. Even though I had a long wait I will rent from this location again.Sharilyn B.

Your administrative assistant was rude & unfriendly. No pass with customer service. No positive feedback of even "Thank you or Drive Safely!" Awful customer SATISFACTION . We brought the UHaul back on the 21st, not late and charged $20.00?!? Not cool! We even filled the gas all the way, how it was. And still got charged $20.00 after hours? Understandable your nog open on Sundays but we returned it the day we promised. So PLEASE kindly reimburse $20.00, we returned the vehicle thd day we promised, and were treated disrespectfully, no smile or positive customer service! Gracias.Pedro J.

The service was great, but the vehicle smelled so bad. The cab and the cargo compartment smelled like both weed and cigarettes mixed together. Even with the cargo door wide open, it was tough to load our things without getting a headacheGina J.
The truck was not clean and sanitized we live in a different era cov19 is real I had to make a request for the cleaning material and cleaned the entire truck and sanitized It and of course I got help from the employee. I will recommend that you have two employees at that location it was not my responsibility to clean somebody's mess. I felt sorry for the employee that rented me the truck she was by herself and therefore could not do much. The first truck she rented had a flat tire a lot of my time was wasted there for no reason although she was apologetic and I accepted her apologize she was very cautious and respectful. I am just making recommendation and I am not criticizing her service you just need to hire more employees to make you service faster and also a cleaner to constantly clean and sanitized your trucks.lamin J.
