It’s better just to call and rent. I thought the online process would be easier but it took so long and was so difficult to work. I checked in late because my phone died. You shouldn’t have to check in for the return and then it charged me twice as well.

They guys are very accommodating!! When another company messed up my reservation these guys jumped in, got me in a truck super fast and I was able to stay on schedule. Very thorough, polite and fast when I needed in and out. You really cant do a better job than they do!!!!

Update your website....it stinks. It said the truck was available at my chosen location, then after I made the reservation, then I'm told by scheduling, that it is not. They also had my pick up location different than what I selected. ..in another city, 100 miles away. The people at my location were friendly and knowledgeable. No complaints about the pick up site.

Attempted to check in my rental when I was finished. Site was down for maintenance. Called 800 number and operator was unable to assist, suggested to take back home with me, and accrue MORE miles on truck which I had already underestimated distance for. Left work at 8am to try to check in, told dealer my issue and he was kind enough to check it in for me, thank you Southside Auto for saving me money!!

The building was dirty and unorganized. The people that were running the place were very unfriendly almost trying to be intimating. They pointed out to me all of the dings on the truck they had marked out with an x with a O around it. They told me that they would be checking over the truck very carefully after I returned. I felt very uncomfortable the hole time until I returned the truck and left. This is the first time that I have ever felt like that when I have rented a U haul. That is the only truck that I rent when I do rent. Thank You for your time Sincerely Dissatisfied customer.

Some of the employees were a bit gruff but overall straight to the point. I had never rented a U-Haul before and was unsure of much of the process, the owner and employees did not explain the process and got somewhat snippy with me.

I was taken aback when the amount I was told for rental when I picked up the truck was four times what was advertised. However, the final amount charged was accurate.

I would really like to see that schedules are maintained. I selected a 10' truck for my reservation, but when I arrived to pick up I found out that the previous renters had maintained/extended their reservation which left me without my selected truck. I was lucky that the dealer had a separate (but bigger) truck for me to use, however this did cost me a bit more money given the bigger truck I had to use. Overall the staff were really helpful and managed to get me going.

This is the first time someone has helped us set the mirrors and made sure we knew how everything worked - it wasn't entirely necessary because we've used Uhaul trucks before, but it was really nice!

The online approval process took a while and it would have been easier to go in so maybe just making that process faster or having people do it before it is time for them to pick up their truck and not taking an extra half an hour.

We did not like the ramp of the 26' truck. It was too short and too steep to use with a dolly. We liked the longer ramp with the 20' truck much better.

1. I did not receive 6x12 trailer as promised because of ground wire problem. 2. U-haul person said he would pull trailer into his shop for repair, then back-pedaled and said he couldn't repair it. This was rubbish. He was just lazy and clearly indicated he didn't want to be bothered. 3. I was given a much smaller 5x8 trailer which did not fit my furnishings, requiring me greater expense to make a second trip between KS and CO. 4. When the guy made up a new contract for the smaller trailer, he screwed up and entered a different drop off location (an hour away from the correct location on my initial contract. 5. It was quite obvious that this location puts no effort into checking and maintaining their equipment (just wait until something breaks) 6. The shop, office, and lot at this location are the pits - filthy, trash lying around, trailers on a grass lot with potholes and puddles. These guys obviously don't care about their customers

Honestly, the location was just fine. I did have an awful experience with U-Haul overall, though. First off, I had a reservation for a cargo truck at a different location for about 6 hours. I was kicked off that reservation (which I made about a week early) because there weren't enough trucks. That'd be fine, but I was called on the day before move date to find a different location. Found this location, made the reservation a day early with a 6 hour and 30 minute reserve time. Unfortunately, at pick up, I was told it was cut short an hour and a half, and to bring that truck back earlier than I had it reserved. It made my time extremely stressful as I was crunched for time. Overall, horrible experience, but Southside auto sales did pull through. Although, they did cut my reserve time without any prior notice; I was told at pick up time.

This dealer did an excellent job. Here is were UHaul failed: 1. On Line reservation locked up 2. Called UHaul Corporate to reserve a truck. Customer service didn’t see an online order. Therefore I placed a new reservation. 3. Two hours later, I Received Email that UHaul cancelled services and placed a new reservation for a truck in a different city. They stated they saw duplicate orders and cancelled. 4. I requested UHaul cancel that order because I wasn’t interested in reserving a truck to be picked up in another city. In the meantime, They accused me of cancelling my own reservations and changing cities. 5. Called UHaul locally were I tried to book online. They were now sold out of trucks. 6. Called second choice local UHaul, further away, and had to reserve a smaller than needed truck. In all my years of reserving UHaul equipment, ive never experience such incompetency in customer service. It left me wondering if I could count on my reservation being fulfilled.
