Uhaul penalized me $30 for forgetting to fill up the tank. This is cruel and I’m never gonna rent from Uhaul again. Very disappointed!

The area feels unsafe to leave your car while you rent. The business was supposed to be open, yet it was closed. Thankfully, when I called Uhaul, I got great help from the lady on the phone. The driver's seat was broken, good thing I didn't have to go far with the truck.

Then I niticer later that night I was charged $4 and when I inquired the next at the call centre I was told that I was charged an extra day because it was marked that I returned the truck at 4pm . What is an outright lie. This is a complete scam.

A display of Palestinian flags made me feel very uneasy and unwelcome and implied they have an anti-Semitic, anti-Israel personnel view. It was a very upsetting and offensive environment.
ian PBig honesty problem with the dealer. I used the U-Haul for a distance of 50km, and was charged for 200 km. When I complained, I was told it was my fault, and it was up to me to check the mileage before taking the truck. I admit I was foolish! I thought the company was honest with its customers and I didn't bother to take a photo of the vehicle's mileage. The dealer just gave me the vehicle and said, "Go ahead, you can go!" My advice to you: Implement a process that prevents this kind of scam. 1- Give the customer a receipt with the mileage before they take the vehicle, 2- Go check the accuracy of the mileage in the vehicle, and with the dealer present, 3- Sign the receipt to confirm agreement and that the information's accuracy has been verified by the customer themselves. 4- Upon the vehicle's return, do the same thing and sign a document that proves the mileage was noted in the presence of the dealer.
Mehdi DMy comments are not about the specific location but about UHAUL in general. My experience with UHAUL was absolutely terrible. I booked for pick up at a large Uhaul dealer (which always has many many trucks available) near me and for drop off at a location closest to my destination. Everything was fine until the day before my pick up when I got a call from a rather rude and condescending kid from UHAUL saying that there were no trucks at my booked pick up point (WHAT?....I could see them as they are close to my house) and that I had no choice but to drive all the way across the city to pick up a truck at another location. I was told by the rude kid on the phone that it is no big deal that he was sending me across the city in the wrong direction because he was going to be generous and give me an extra credit for the extra miles/kilometers. Because there was not time left to change providers I had to agree to the change. Not only was this a huge waste of my time to drive all the way across the city to pick up and drive back, the extra kilometer credit the rude kid offered was not on my file at all so this cost me extra money not only for kilometers but also for the extra fuel costs I had to pay to relocate YOUR truck. What is worse is that there were AT LEAST 8 trucks of the size I wanted still sitting in the lot when I drove by mid afternoon after my return from dropping off my truck at the other location. It was completely clear to me and my whole family that UHAUL simply screwed me over and changed my pick up location because they wanted ME to relocate YOUR truck. The actual place I picked up at was fine and the staff good but UHAUL as a company is an absolute useless joke which simply treat their customers as an afterthought and as a tool to relocate UHAUL assets for their own purposes. Not to mention extorting extra costs from customers by forcing them to drive more distance and waste more fuel.
Stacey FI was not aware that the after hours drop off process needed to be performed on-site due to geofencing. Had I known this explicitly would have prompted me to complete this process immediately.

ALJABER KI have photo proof of Fuel and Distance which i shown to Mr. Hussain of South keys office when picked and returned Truck. I have serious concern of incorrect billing done South keys office. Excessive payment deducted from my credit card which needs to be corrected immediately. Correct distance is 11 Miles (MI Out: 78106, MI In: 78117, Photo of both were shown to Mr. Hussain of Uhaul South keys) When picked and returned truck, Photo of Fuel level at 1/8 reported to Mr Hussain. hence No fuel services fee and charges applicable. Hence billing needs to be corrected to as below: Distance charges: $1.43*11 Miles = $15.73 Coverage : $16 Rental Charges: 19.95 Please send correct receipt at the earliest.

Jorge A1- there was a closer location to me and it was not offered. I had to drive 30 km at least just to pick up the truck. 2- the truck was less than quarter of gas. Which meant I had to get gas twice I thought. But how do you measure how many km I’m going and the gas I have to put in. I it in an amount and never used a good quarter tank. Do you give refunds NO! If the tank was full I would have only had to get gas at the end and simply fill it. Will hopefully never have to rent from haul again.
Helga LThey over charged me, instead of 19 miles they charged me for 45 miles travelled. When I provided details with picture of the milage in. They just opened a case and left it that, they are yet to refund the amount. Very disappointed by their lack concern for their mistakes.

(Check engine and check tire lights on) they gave us a defective truck. Not to also mention when I called a week previous to this to book, the representative did not book it as discussed over the phone. I had to call the day before to rebook at an urgent matter with slight luck to book one. I will never use this service again.

Jeffrey CVehicle booked not at site. Told to call 1-800 #. Then disconnected from call. Finally got a van instead of pick-up truck. Van was ++dirty on inside. Broken mirror on passenger side and tire monitor sensor message covering mileage. Unable to determine mileage. Initially I was greeted as if it was my fault I had booked a pick up truck that had not been returned when it should have been. I was left to fend for myself. They tried to make it sound like a favour was being done for me when a van was returned and now available for my use. Absolute pig-stye - dust and dirt in front cab and garbage left in back - old medical glove, plastic and other garbage.
