When I got there the business was closed. I had to call U-Haul and was on hold for about 15 minutes. Online the business hours say until 6pm, on their door it says 6pm. The woman I spoke to said 5pm. The door was locked and it was sooooo hard to set up pick up. Finally they got a hold of someone who came to give us the keys and set us up. The person who helped up and showed up was great. I just think the business owners need to be more organized and mindful of schedule U-Haul pick up.

This location is just in a nasty part of town. The worker saw us drive up and knew we were dropping off a 26' truck but did not come out to meet us but went ahead and locked the gate to the after hours drop off. This caused us and extra trine in a very questionable area for safety. We had to call uhaul and got switched to several people that did not know what we should do since the gate got locked. The morning after the guy called us and complained that we had locked the key in the truck as we had been instructed by uhaul district manager for that location. This location does not have adequate safe parking for multiple large trucks or trailer. Not pleased.

Leave more gas in the vehicle. Ours was so low that the odometer was not visible, just the warning to get gas within the next 40 miles. Since the odometer wasn't visible, no way to gauge when close to 40 mile mark!!

I disputed the $25.00 cleaning charge. I indicated the windshield was not clean on pick up. I meant it should be cleaned before it is rented again. Most of the problem were higher speed bug strikes. I did not leave the town of Fallbrook or drive over 40 and we have few bugs this time of year.

The service people were courteous, and quick to serve. The place it self is not very nice. Pretty much rundown. If you didn't know how good the service was you most likely would move on to another location. They are handy, and always there to help.

It's difficult to rate this experience. First there was no one at the front desk (lunch break maybe?), so I assume short-staffed. The experience was only with the guy who was at this location. The truck we rented was broken at this location, so the staff member drove me to Oceanside at another facility to pick up the truck with the equipment.

This location is a smog check / vehicle maintenance facility so, as such, it's a bit dirty. I think that's to be expected. The staff helping with the U-Haul transaction was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient and he made it a great experience.

The only problem we had with the truck was that the door got stuck open and it took a lot of effort to get it to come down again once the truck was loaded. Otherwise, it worked just fine.

I paid $140 for the insurance and drive from NC to CA and was disappointed when I called the emergency number, was placed on hold and never reached anyone. I was stuck in the middle of the Arizona desert and could not get help from uhaul. Called 3 times with an issue needing advice, yet was not able to talk to anyone, only the automatic recording.. You should refund me the money for the insurance I paid and could not access.

While I understand circumstances change as our country has a lot of people moving at this time, I think that pick up locations should be able to keep inventory so that it is available when making a reservation. If anything, why can't your preferred pick up location go and pick the inventory up instead of sending the customer 80+ miles out of their way? Uhaul has great equipment but it shouldn't fall on the customer to go so far out of their way. Fallbrook has great customer service but Uhaul as a whole should've had San Clemente go pick up the trailer.

Pickup was originally scheduled for 9AM at East Mission RD. Unfortunately no one was there at the designated time and phone calls to their phone number were unaccepted. Fortunately, I remembered that the also had the 418 W. Aviation location and that there was someone there who could fulfill the rental. I lost one hour of truck availability and incurred an extra hour cost for the movers I contracted for. Not a good way to run an operation.

On jan. 15 I rented a truck via online already paid and pre checked in making sure that my truck was going to be guaranteed. Going a one way trip to the San Fernando Valley. However, I needed to drive about 2 hrs. to this location because I was picking up some furniture within the area. Upon arriving they tell me that the person that has my rental was SUPPOSED to have returned it. So they call that person over the phone and to my surprise they extended their rental till Wednesday. This was happening on a Saturday. Wait a minute! Uhaul let's people extend just like that without any warnings in advance? Isnt there a disclaimer about that? So what about the customer that paid for that rental in advance and pre checked in? You would think they would have extra rentals? Surprise surprise! They didn't! And because they DIDN'T have any extras with a lot full of trucks. They called two different locations to see if they can get me what I had rented and they were able to have an upgraded truck from one of those locations at no charge.Of course to my surprise I had to drive another 30 minutes further. The only problem was that the location was already closed so I had to go through the uhaul 24/7 website to RE DO a contract so that I can get a 4digit code to unlock a key box so that I can get the key for the truck. Sounds simple right? Wrong? This situation by far has been the worse one I have ever been involved as a customer. Why couldn't they have just done this process for me seeing as none of this was not my fault to begin with. Why couldn't they just have given me the four digit code from the original place I was supposed to get my truck from in the first place. I spent over 3 More hours trying to figure out why my contract reference number was not being recognized on the website. I called two different 1800 numbers to get assistance regarding this 2nd problem that I was put through. And yet I still couldn't get access to the key box. I finally get transferred to the right department that was able to walk me through step by step on what to do and how to get the access I needed to get my truck. I was supposed to have my rental by 4pm. It is now 7pm when this happened. And yet I still had to drive to the location to go pick up my furniture to load up. And then drive another 3-4 more hours back to the San Fernando Valley because now I have a bigger truck that needs to be driven a a slower and safer speed and I had to stop by and fill up the truck with fuel becauseit hardly had any. Talk about busting a mission. Once again the worst customer experience I have ever gone through. And to think that I always go through uhaul whenever I go through moving transitions because of their popularity. And good experiences i had in the past. If this is how they represent the brand at this location. Than I think things need to be addressed. Specially when your rental is guaranteed upon paying and checking in advanced. Thanks to this experience i will now focus on other moving rental companies even if i have to pay a little more so that I can get the guaranteed that I'm going to get what I PAID for. I hope that this review shows the lack of interest that the employee gave me in this whole situation. I mean why would he. They already got my money. And they already got the other person that extended he's money as well right! For the record I will be moving mid February and now I have no intentions in renting with them ever again.
