Online check in is a great idea, but the U-Haul online checkin for picking up a vehicle is awful. The driver verification step is convoluted and confusing. Also, its not clear whether or not one is required to add oneself as an authorized driver - still not clear if that step is only for additional drivers? Lastly, the key drop-off was also a challenge. The lock on the key box doesn't work properly, so it took 10-15 minutes until it finally opened.

I booked to pick up the truck at night and the keys weren't in the lockbox. Had to pay a crew that were waiting to load the truck at night and only got it the next day after thr store opened at 10. Meaning all my moving was delayed and I had less time to use the truck than I wanted.

The man that rented the vehicle to me was rude and uncooperative. He was talking to myself and friend anyhow. In fact, he closed around 5pm as against the stipulated 6pm both on the website and Google lookup. Overall, he caused us more stress, wasted our valuable time, and left us to be contacting U-Haul service care for almost an hour. I am totally dissatisfied with the service provided to me at this link location especially with the man who attended to me. Sorry, I don't know his name, I would have mentioned his name.

1. Clean out the vehicle for the next customer; 2. Make sure the ordered equipment is actually on board. The dolly that I ordered lwas not in the truck and I had to move boxes one at a time by myself; 3. The warning light indicated low pressure in the left rear tire which was concerning on pickup. I manually checked the tire before setting out and it was seemingly ok. I was told after I dropped off the vehicle that the pressure sensor was malfunctioning. This should be communicated prior to taking possession of the vehicle, especially since this is a safety issue. I was not impressed

The business owner took a photo copy of my license and credit card instead of processing my reservation through the system like the usual claiming the system was down due to power outage when i can clearly see the U-Haul credit terminal on and working… very shady and suspicious but I had to go through with it because i needed the van. If I find out my credit info were stolen I'm suing this company.

The mobile check-in process needs to be faster - I wasted 35 minutes first waiting on the verification process that was promised to be seamless and then because the lockbox was not the easiest to open

Customer service was horrible - owner yelled at me when I asked questions about the contract and locked the door of the building so I couldn't come in. Will never go back to the Trafalgar location again.
