My initial call (just to check the price), I was quoted $800. My mistake was not asking to have the quote saved in the data base. Apparently rates change on one way trips depending upon how many trucks are available. A few weeks later when I was ready to move it was $1200!!!! Same distance, same zip codes, same day of the week. Delighted this long truck was available! It made all the difference. The team at this location (Mason Ohio) could not be more helpful and courteous. I would rent from this location again in a heartbeat. I have used U-Haul before. Never have staff been so welcoming. The manager warmly greeted me as I got out of my car. It was my second time using self pickup/drop-off and I had a trouble uploading photos of the dashboard for mileage and the oil level. I spent over 10 minutes but it still didn't work so I had to call the service center. App needs to be improved a lot. Especially mileage verification photo section.Jungsup K.

Make location/area easier to access the internet. The internet/website kept crashing on me when trying to access the 24/7 UHaul pickup service therefore I was 30-minutes late in picking up my truck losing valuable moving time valuable truck rental time. Not sure if I was in a dead zone or if it was a server issue on your end but I had to drive out a half mile just to get service to do pickup.Suzanne H.

I have used Uhaul multiple times before and was always satisfied with the overall experience. This time it was awful. I was told the location would be open until noon on Saturday. I showed at 11:30a and no one was there. I wasted a whole hour on the phone, creating a uhaul account, and doing the mobile check in. It shouldn't have take this long but the website wouldn't pick up my location and I was on hold forever to get my location â€˜pushed'. I had to pay movers while they waited for me, and then I was charged $20 for returning the uhaul after hours? This is strange as I have done so multiple times before and was never charged this fee. I was told I wouldn't be charged. Disappointed with the whole experience.Maria N.

The pick up location was great and close to our destination. The gentlemen was very helpful and considerate. Everything was great. There is nothing to approve.RICHARD W.
The front right bumper had a scrap that showed white paint. This was on the truck when I picked it up. Since I picked it up after hours when the store was closed, I wasn't able to discuss with the store. I drove this truck from the location to my home, parked it in my driveway, and then returned it back to the store today. I was never in a place that someone could have ran into me and I never pulled into any place where this would have happened. I drove 6 miles to my house on the main roads, parked it in driveway, and returned on the same main roads. This paint scrap on the bumper should have been documented prior to me picking the truck up and some notification left in the truck so that I am not called in to question upon returning of the truck. I didn't cause this paint scrap on the bumper.Rodney V.

Unacceptable customer service and implementation. To be clear I had ZERO issues with the pick up and drop off location's staff (John's Market & Simply Australian). The issue is that the Grand Rapids, MI U-Haul office calls me LESS THAN 24 hours before my scheduled pick up time to inform me there we no trucks available. My reservation had been placed for over 2 weeks and less than 24 hours before I'm scheduled to move is when they choose to call and alert me of this issue!? Unacceptable. Completely and utterly. I then need to drive over 80 miles (1 hour and 50 minutes) to Twin Lake, MI and back to receive a truck. No compensation for the gas needed to get to back to current resident. I understand there may be shortages of trucks and staff but I'm genuinely curious as to how U-Haul decides who draws the short straw in situations like these. I know for a fact everyone who placed a reservation AFTER July 10th did not get screwed like I did. I cannot stress enough how inconvenient it is to have an issue like this occur before moving their entire life to a new location hundreds of miles away. Are you not using a system that allows staff and managers to see current inventory of trucks? How can an error like this happen? Or is it simply an issue of purposely overbooking a commodity that you know is in high demand to line your own pockets. Whatever the case may be I can tell you with certainty I will not be using this company for anything in the future.Connor L.

I requested a different pick up place. But apparently they did not have the size equipment I needed. So I had to go to a different location. The price was 26 dollars more than I was originally was going to pay. Plus it was a half hour from our house. The drop off location was also along way. There was a closer location. I wasn't happy with my experience this time. The charges were excessive for a 3 hour van rental to move a dresser. There never was a dolly in the van that I was charged $14.00 for and I noted that on my return and was still charged.Laura L.

It took me 12 minutes to get an approval after I went through all the processes online. It just seems a little too long. I'm not sure why it took that long but I rented a van from this location before and it took a similar amount of time. You would think you'd be able to get an approval within a minute or two. Other than that this location and the vans I've rented are great.Stephen R.

Advise it takes 30 min to check in virtually as personnel are not available on Sunday's. Customer service was wonderful in adjusting for this issue in my case.Tiffany D.
