I have rented from uhaul many times, all with positive experiences. This time was a terrible experience. I rented my truck online, and picked a location with uhaul personnel. Uhaul called me several days later, telling me that my truck was not available there, and it was at a different location. Come moving day, I went to this location. I was told I had to do everything online with uhaul to get the keys to my truck. I tried going through the online process and it was very frustrating. The online process failed to acknowledge my payment options, and would not let me continue. I tried this 5 times with 3 different cards, all failing. We then had to call uhaul's main line to speak with an associate, who told us their credit card machine was down. Just to make sure, we checked our bank accounts, and found that our cards were all charged. After waiting an hour and speaking on the phone with uhaul several times, I got the keys to my truck. My truck was already unlocked and did not have the furniture pads I ordered. Uhaul did provide me with a refund for my troubles of about 50%. I was very unhappy and my moving day to our first house was not off to a good start.

The online pickup was advertised to be fast. It took 45 minutes to pick up the truck. Not the locations fault. Uhaul website does not seem to be ready for mobile. There were many glitches in the website from booking through returning.

Not happy with the pick up system and drop off system had problems with it also dont understand the bill I was sent charged me for gas and after hours no one ever mention any extra charge, will call tomorrow not happy

working with uhaul remote check in process was extremely painful. confirmation of opicture to drivers license did not work, operator then asked for alternate means to confirm, that did not. then the system timed out and left me stranded. a phone call to uhaul, had me on hold for more than 30 minutes. I gave up and did not pick up the truck

Came to get the truck at 7 am as I had ordered it, tried to use the app for pick up, as it was before the shop opened, but it kept saying that the couldn't find my location. After wasting 20 min trying to figure it out, we gave up. Drove 20 min home and then had to drive another 20 minutes back to the shop to get it 2 hrs later when it opened. Super frustrating as it wasted time and gas and delayed me and all the people I had helping me with the move! Process should be easier!!!

Customer service Was awful, truck was dirty, no one came out to check the truck upon return, said I'd receive my receipt in 30 minutes, had to call on Monday to get it.

I reserved (and was emailed a confirmation #95010236) a 15 ft truck in advance and we were given a 20 ft truck which was too large for our needs and difficult to maneuver and park in the small streets of downtown Madison. We were never contacted by U-Haul prior to our arrival explaining the situation with the wrong truck. Although the dealer had a 15ft truck on the lot, they indicated that someone else had rented it for a one way trip. The representative at the store was indicating that this was a U-Haul mistake even though we called the local dealer to make the reservation. Also, I was displeased with the return procedures required at the end out of rental. Not user friendly and difficult to navigate on the U-Haul website. Will consider other rental options In the future .

They marked the fuel gauge incorrectly. they marked it as half full, when the gauge was 1 tick over half full, as it was when I left. Careless of them. The $9.78 fuel charge should be refunded to me.

Keys were not left in UHaul pickup box and agent at the store was 35 minutes late to open, then had an attitude as if it was my fault she had to come to work. She admitted she "forgot" to put the keys in the box because she "had a lot going on" and needed to leave. Aside from the location issues, UHaul experience overall was pleasant.

First we started with a quote over the phone with the young lady, she quoted us 55.00, we were stranded, and they came and got us, which was extremely nice of them, my husband went to pick up the uhaul, they said our card would not be charged , because we told them we would pay cash when we dropped it off, and we were going 147 miles one day, they told us our home town wouldn't accept this uhaul, that we had to travel another 35 miles, (which was inaccurate, bc when I called all three uhauls in my town, they said yes they would have accepted it.) We went the 35 miles to drop the trailer, and the very awesome helpful staff @ tmc automotive, informed us that the card had already been charged 193 dollars, she said when you go one way, they automatically charge. It would have been nice to know, the manager was the person approving our rental, so I'm sure she knew that. Why was it so much? For a over nite rental?

I was told I would be able to pick up the U-Haul at the location on Bluemound Road/JJ. That did not happen I had to go to another location which I was not happy about .

Yuri Torales at Silvernail Car Care was phenomonal!!! She had numerous "glitches" thrown her way the morning of our pick-up (co-worker didn't show up, previous renter didn't return truck on time, etc.) but she handled it all with grace and expertise. Looking forward to working with this location in the future.

The counter individual was really good. He was polite and professional .. It was a good experience . We brought the truck back after hours on a Sunday so none was there.. I promptly got a response back with a credit to my card

Did not get the 17' truck requested, and was to include hand cart and blankets with 3 straps, had to ask for hand cart cuz smaller size 15' not include, left without asking for cart and blankets, overall got the move done with one of extra trip between the two houses ~10 miles extra and time, all worked out but service was average

The lot was hard to turn around in with a motor home. Trailer was to low to put a motorcycle on, I followed all the recommendations for hitch height but as I was putting the motorcycle on the trailer it bottomed out damaging the undercarriage of my motorcycle.

This location was not listed as a possible drop off location when I got the haul. Consequently I told the agent I did not know where I would drop off. When I pulled in and spoke with the individual, he said no problem. I called the number I was given, and the representative said it was ok. When asked why the location wasn't listed as a drop off, I was told it did not accept trailers. Meanwhile, there were 5 trailers already sitting on his lot. Again, if another moving business was available, I would choose them... not uhaul.
