Jason WI had rented an appliance dolly. Dolly was not in truck when picked up. I had to get dolly from dolly pool on side of building. When I returned truck after hours. I did not leave dolly in truck for fear it would be stolen. I returned it to dolly pool. Attendant called in morning threatening to charge for dolly. I explained situation and her response was "I guess we will have to take your word for it". Maybe they should have a count of how many dollys they have before they accuse customers of theft.

RICHARD SGood experience. My only complaint is not having a full tank of gas. I had to screw around to return the van with a quarter of a tank of fuel, which is what I started out with.
HENRY AMy issue is actually more with the Chico , CA (country rd) location. Our vehicle broke down causing us to be stranded in Oroville, CA. The only U-Haul that was listed as open was in Chico, CA. The first location that we had to Uber to after spending all night in a car with no AC in 100 degree weather literally only had two trucks, no trailers at all and what they had was reserved. So we had to take a second uber across town to the recommended location in country road. They appeared to have plenty of trucks and trailers. However, the red haired guy that "helped" us gave a quote for $1500+ for a 15' truck and car trailer. He then told us that they had ZERO trucks OR trailers to rent us. He informed us the nearest location was a 90 minute drive south in Grass Valley, CA. It was a Sunday afternoon and we had walked and used rideshare all day only to be told we have 90 minutes to get 90 minutes away before the location closed. No suggestions, no empathy, no customer service and no fucks given about two people, one of whom has metastatic cancer and unable to tolerate that heat. We spent $100 more dollars on the 3rd Uber to get 90 minutes to the only location that apparently had the equipment we could rent. We were sent from a moderately large metropolitan area with at least 10-12 U-Haul locations with DOZENS of every equipment type to the only location in podunk little hick town with five trucks? And on top of that, the inconsistent climate control in 100+ degree weather, passenger side floorboards so hot that it burned a jacket and my feet, cheap uncomfortable leather seats that rip at your skin, not even being able to Bluetooth your phone to the shitty stereo that you can't hear over the road noise and constant wind noises due to the truck not being sealed. Just to get home and now you corporate evil greedy monsters want to charge me $5.75/gallon for 19 gallons equaling $109 PLUS a $30 "gas fee" bc you hid that in unreadable print, on paperwork that doesn't exist and no U-Haul employee has ever bothered to point out or even gives a shit., Improvement? Stop being greedy, evil money grubbing soulless scumbags and maybe give the service you'd expect to get. Maybe go try to rent a U-Haul and discover reality. Then actually ride in one/drive one 1000 miles. I'll use Penske from this point on; I recommend everyone find an alternative to this company.

Joseph PWe rent trucks pretty regularly for our business and we always get great customer service here. It isn't the closest Uhaul to us but we go here because we really appreciate Olivia. Olivia acts like she cares - which is really refreshing. We highly recommend renting here!
Jill MWe didn't notice this until we had already drive away and were too far away to return the UHAUL, but the tires on the rig were bald. The lining of the tire was even exposed on one tire, and the alignment was clearly off. I don't know how this was rented out... and it obviously had been for thousands of miles without any correction. Just lucky none of the tire blew and caused an accident. Completely unsafe and this condition had evidently been neglected for a long period of time.
Kyle SHave a back up paper system for computer shut downs . Have better communications with customers we want to talk to a person at the location we are dealing with. What I heard from dealer complete shut downs happen often. Overall frustrating day dealing with u-haul corp . The dealership we dealt with was great once the cooperate computers worked.

Jeff CI'm not sure if it is related to my transaction or not; However at approximately 7 minutes after payment at this location using my credit card, I was notified by the B of A that there had been a suspicious charge to my account letting me know the last three transactions of which one was not one I had authorized. This caused a hold on my account and eventually led to my having to replace that card. Obviously an inconvenience I didn't appreciate.

Patrick DThere was a slight issue with the gas gauge on the van but the was quick to take a look and verify that I didn't need to worry about anything.
Jason MI wanted to rent a 17' a week in advance, all they had was a 20'. An hour before I got there they called and all they had was a gas guzzling 26 foot. I had a time sensitive delivery so I was forced to take it. It cost $180. to drive 65 miles.
