The truck had a very foul pungent odor and there was dog hair everywhere. Very uncomfortable to ride with and I had to have the windows down even while raining because the smell was so bad.

Hasan NLetting customer know about the rental charges on u-haul pickup trucks. It's not 19.95 a day plus mileage. The price was told to us at the rental store. It was 89.95 with a 100 mile charge, then the plus mileage rate. I would have to think twice about renting a pickup truck.
OJ PWhile the location was fantastic to work with and very helpful, the truck was horrible. I had to put air in the tire 4 times which added 30 minutes each way on my trip (more than an hour total). And then when I gassed up, the truck would not start. I waited over an hour for the repair truck to arrive in 100 degree heat. Once the battery had been swapped out, it was then too late to get into my storage unit so I had to make other arrangements to store the furniture I was moving. The vehicle was also not clean in the cab. Pine needles, potato chips, and pretzels were on the floor. When I reported that the vehicle needed to be cleaned, the uHaul mobile app tried to charge me a cleaning fee. I left nothing in the vehicle and even picked up some of the trash from the previous renter. I want a full refund for this rental. I returned it with 1/4 tank more gas then when I rented it so you are even making money on that gas.

michael rThe truck worked fine for us and our short distance move, but I might be a little leery of a long trip as the vehicle was showing a bit of age. Not sure I'd want to take it over 100 miles.

Bridget HThe guy who manages this location has no patience to talk and answer customer questions. He is asking customers to shut your mouth and take your vehicle or else to go other location. He literally asked me to shut up my mouth directly. This is not at all good. Very very very bad behavior. I strongly don’t recommend this.

Gary VI wouldn't recommend uhaul to my dead dog! I work during the day... HENCE the reason I rented the truck so late! I got stuck in the mud at 10. A tow truck didn't come out until 11hrs later. I them had to go pick up my kids, rush home, rush to work IN A UHAUL, then get off work and go BACK to moving my stuff but I got charged over $300... You people are insane.
Brandice SI dealt with a lady named Cindy and she was terrific. The only confusion I had was a message from U-Haul corporate (I think). That location closes at 4:30 and I told Cindy I might be a little later (she said fine, just drop key through doorway key-drop slot). I returned the vehicle around 5 and dropped key through slot. No problem. But then I got a message (confirmed with Cindy that it did not come from her) that I should have taken a photo of returned vehicle showing where I parked it, etc. That was news to me and since it was after I already returned vehicle, I did not drive back over to take a picture to prove it was there. That is probably a good policy; but I should have been told that way in advance.
Carl WCustomer service at location was A+!! Only negative to my experience was the truck assigned had issues with the key whe putting in the ignition to start. Representative did advice prior to leaving; however that was the only available vehicle at the time.
SETH DThe people, and service, are great! The parking lot is small, and a bit difficult to maneuver in. My only true complaint is the price. Sure, $19.95 is great, but you more than make up for it by charging $1.19 per mile. That is a lot of money. On top of the $200+ for the rental, I had to put $40 of gas in it too. I had the truck for less than 6 hours. I don't know what other companies charge, but that is a lot of money.

Robert MThe mobile check-in was problematic, and the site kept crashing. I had to go inside the store for assistance, but was told that since I already started the check-in process on my mobile account, they couldn’t help me. When I checked the back of the truck, the dolly appeared to be secured to the wall, but as soon as I turned out of the facility, I heard a loud crashing noise as the dolly fell to the floor. When I returned the truck, I was charged for the dolly’s use, even though I brought my own (and used my own). When I asked for assistance with the check in process (because the mobile site was down again), I was told “I can’t do it right now”.

Robert BThe location needs to abide by the online bookings stipulations or the online booking rules need to be adjusted to properly reflect the locations “new” rules. You can’t just “decide” to make the insurance mandatory because you feel like it. I’ve been a uhual customer for over a decade this was a pretty piss poor customer experience. In addition to the forced insurance the agent was just don’t right rude. Do better.

Carla LThe gas gauge on the truck rented was way off. It was at 7/8 when i picked it up. Drove it 1 mile down the road and added 8 gallons which led me to believe it has a 64 gallon tank, yet it only has 30. When I went to add gas at the 3/4 level to get it back to 7/8, it only took 6 gallons and was full. So the gas gauge was definitely defective which caused me to add more than was needed. Other than that, everything else was fine except for whoever rented the truck prior to me who smoked and left a cigarette butt in the cup holder. Truck was clean and rode well and Carly at the Glen Allen location was polite, friendly and courteous.
Vincent BHave better customer service. Felt like i was accused of lying. The key fell off key ring and they didnt seem to believe me or help other than charge me for another day 89 dollars not 29 . It was worn out so due to wear and tear . Felt overwhelmed and attacked
