My experience with U-Haul at shop n go variety was excellent.. Bonnie the staff member I worked with was efficient and friendly. She carried the dolly I needed ,to the truck and went over the condition of the van and odometer and made sure I understood the calculation for the mileage. It was very handy location and Bonnie was extremely helpful, who ensured I had everything needed to begin my move Thanks Bonnie for being so k8nd and helpful Lynn

Could not use Android app to take photos: camera would open but the app would not get the photos taken by the app. This is Pixel 3. Ended up using my girlfriend's ios app. Then I noticed that if I were using mobile browser on my Pixel 3 it worked. Otherwise, smooth experience.

I don't worst experience compare to my previous u haul rentals, during drop off app could not detect my location, not sure why, I asked for help from counter , they for they will charge extra 20 dollars, that was surprise, later she agreed to help after too much rants, I would not recommend this pick up to anyone,. Close this location!! One hour to get the paperwork done! Watched them selling illegal cigarettes for $10 a pack!! Lots of crack addict customers ! 1/4 tank of gas, no customer parking!!!!! Horrible service!!!!!!! The van itself was very good!

There was lots of confusion over pick up and drop off. When I selected ‘pick up my truck' I was told to go in the store but the store was closed. Dropping off the truck I was not given the code for the drop box. This was very frustrating and resulted in spending 45 minutes to deal with the problem on the phobe

Car was dirty, smelling very strong farm & produce fertilizer, all my items got dirty. I and my wife had to use some mask to breath. I had no choice to cancel or to use another car. the owner wanted imaginary picture and was asking for my iPhone set!!!

Terrible. A 24 hr rental is classified as 4 hrs. I was hassled and bothered again and again that it is only a 4 hrs rental, even though it's suppose to be a 24 hr rental. Very confusing. Never ever again will I rent with uhaul. (This is probably my 15th uhaul rental, but for sure my last) Never ever again.

This was the worst experience I ever had. The truck was very dirty and stunk. Dog hair every where. I had to vacuum it and spray febreze because the smell was unbearable. The gas tank had only 1/3. We started driving to Chilliwack BC, and when while I was poring gas, I notice that the gasoline when all to the ground. The hose under the truck was broken. We phone the 1-800 number and we got a person that said a mechanic would come in 20-30 minutes. We waited and called again, and she said that they have no mechanic available for 2 hours and 40 minutes. We tried calling another locations and nobody had any equipment available. So I decided to go and get duck tape the the broken hose so we could get some gas and go on our way. While we where driving to our destination we got another call from this very friendly lady with a mechanic on the nother line. They wanted us to drive 4 extra exit to take the truck to his shop. We where already late and we said to come and fix it at our destination and he said no because he was busy, We said Saturday and he said he could because he has a wedding. So to finish the story, we drove the whole weekend with a broken truck because your company did nothing to solve the problem. I will definitely do not rent a truck from your company ever again and I will try to pass over my experience so nobody has to go thru this issue ever. Terrible unit, terrible service.

The U-Haul staff put higher than actual readings of the gas in the contract and then got into an argument over it. They insisted on signing the contract before seeing and inspecting the cargo van saying it is “more convenient”. The cargo van didn't have the gas tank cap. When I discovered that they suggested buying a cap somewhere myself and I ended up using a cap from my car.

Key box was missing so I had to wait 1.5 hrs for the shop to open.I was told 1 hr so I came back then but it was actually 1.5hrs; I just waited around. The lady from the shop was incredibly rude and made a scene in front of customers for no good reason and blamed me for things that never happened. Returned the vehicle with the same amount of gas as I picked it up with (I have photo proof) and she made a scene saying I took the pictures wrong. Absolute insanity. The vehicle was good though! Got the job I needed done although it was a little dirty.

extremely disappointed with u-Haul. The u-haul I order was the 10 foot and I got a cargo Van. The place where I had to pick up the U-Haul looked like a drug house (2575 Shaughnessy St Port Coquitlam BC V3C 3G3). The lady was very rude and disrespectful. The Cargo Van was filthy and smelled like horse poo. When I was finished with the Van I loaded it with 10 dollars of gas. It did not exactly meet the same line but the lady would not stop yelling at me calling me a liar and that I did not take it to fill it with gas. I am absolutely stunned at the services. To call a customer a liar is unbelievably unprofessional. I had to leave her 10 dollars so that she would stop yelling at me. I was concerned for my safety and the safety of my sister. I really hope that action will be taken as I cannot believe that U-Haul would allow a place like that to be representing their brand.

Location was set up in a retail outlet which sold a variety of adult oriented stuff - pot smoking stuff and what looked like a display of machetes knives. Clearly there was a back door to the parking lot, which owner used, but had us carry all our stuff around the entire city block to the front.

Arrived and Van was rented to another person. She was able to get to the person as they left and got it back. Took almost 30 minutes longer than it should to get me on my way. Site mostly sells drug paraphernalia.

It was efficient. Bonnie (I think that was her name) was very helpful and ensured I wasn't waiting too long. Just make sure you fill up enough at the end (and take into account the driving from the gas station to the shop) because she will make you pay extra.

Vehicle only had 3/8 of a tank of gas. Returned it and put $20.00 of gas for 99 km. They said gas indicator was on the line not after the line and wanted another $10.00. Not very professional not very honest

Thankfully there's no chicken smell inside anymore. Would be nice if the vehicle was periodically cleaned inside though. If I have to rent it for work again I think I'll bring along some Windex and paper towels.

U-Haul shouldn't rent this cargo van to people transporting farm animals. It stunk like live chickens inside and the smell wouldn't go away. Even found chicken feather in the back. Will rent from elsewhere if this keeps up.

Specify that location actually opens at 9:30am on Saturdays, and not at 9:00am as was on the order form. I had to wait a bit at the closed doors and was about to call when the store manager arrived (around 9:15am).

My first experience with UHaul and it was just ok. The depot where I picked up the van was at a convenience store and they had the one van. The van's exterior wasn't dirty but the floor of the back was (I get it, it's essentially a delivery truck but I rather not have my belongings sitting in dirt). Overall, it was just an okay experience; nothing stood out but nothing wasn't terribly bad either.

Truck was dirty when I received it. When I was returning it, the attendant tried to blame me for making it dirty. Showed her stuff (receipts, junk) left in it from previous customers and she backtracked but suggested I should have washed its interior. I told her that this is ridiculous and would damage the steel. Then she suggested that there was a damage (scratch on the side) I had caused. I definitely did not cause it and it was so bleak I did not even see it until she told me about it. Paint was not damaged, and I showed her that it is just dirt I could take with my finger. She kept insisting but then backtracked and said that it is not a big deal and will not charge me for it. When all was said and done I asked for a confirmation that she does not have any claims. She said that U-Haul does not issue such confirmations but since the invoice is paid, everything is clear. I told her that car rental companies do issue confirmations of no damages in the same format in which they do the walkthrough when the truck is received. She did not know what I was talking about. Overall, a terrible customer experience. I rented with U-Haul when I was moving in Ontario in 2004. At the time, I had ordered a dolly for my move but none was available when I was picking up the truck, and the attendant was just as rude and unapologetic as this lady today. I had to make my move without a dolly. I swore to not use you guys again. 10 years later I decided to give you a second chance, only to learn that nothing has changed. Next time, I will pay a little extra and go with a company that appreciates the business of its customers.

I've booked earlier with UHaul on Christmas Way, Port Coquitlam. On the day I was supposed to get the vehicle I tried calling the number twice in the morning and their phone was not working. I booked another rental van at Shop N Go because I needed to make sure I can get the van because of time constraints. When I was finally able to contact the one in Christmas Way, I tried to cancel the reservation. But the person I spoke to whose name was Ben was very arrogant and told me bluntly that I had to pay $50 to cancel the reservation. I asked him why would I be charged when I tried to phone them but their phone had problems. He insisted that I still pay $50 and so I phoned Customer Service and the fee was waived. My suggestion is for your outlets to have at least a dedicated phone line because you don't know when customers are cancelling or confirming their reservations. Shop N Go's phone was not any better. I tried to phone it several times because my GPS told me I was at the location but I couldnt find it. And so I tried to call the number but it was busy all the time. I had to ask around where the UHaul rental was. By the way, Ben from Christmas Way was very unprofessional in dealing with customers. I hope you can do something to reprimand him because this is not doing your business any good. Thank you.

When delivering the truck back, i was told that it cannot be accepted because of dog hair in the cabin. I dont even own a dog, and the hair referred to was there when I accepted the car this morning - did not think it was an issue, but was held responsible for cleaning the truck - UNACCEPTABLE!!!
