Reservation moved the day before, was never notified. Day of move, sent to three different addresses. Once correct address was found truck on reserve wasn't available. A kind person gave me their Reservation instead so I could have a truck. Once I turned in the truck the wrong card was charged even though I told the associate when getting the key. Will not use uhaul again. Horrible service, called 800 number and still unable to get ahold of anyone due to wait time.Jessica P.
I reserved furniture dollies. Online. The pickup location didn't have any. They sent me to the Apache Sands location, they didn't have any. They sent me to Recker and Main location, they didn't have any. The guy there called 3 or 4 other locations, nobody had any. I shouldn't be able to reserve them on line if there aren't any available. I wasted an hour of my reservation time driving around looking for the dollies. You need to make it so your system knows which stores have what inventory and make it so you can't reserve something if it's not there. This isn't a review on the location where I picked up the van. I needed to move a few large pieces of furniture I had purchased online. I realized a cargo van is way better than a truck for hauling furniture. I have been using Uhaul for more than 40 years. Today's rental was the best experience that I have had with Uhaul. The gentleman who took my order was cordial and professional, and I was out the door with the vehicle in 5 minutes. Check in was easy too!MICHEL S.

Trailer was parked in such a way that we (two elderly people with bad backs) had to lift and drag it to the truck. The whole experience was HORRIBLE TGE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE STORE CLERK AT THIS GAS STATION. The uhaul system is the worst. Multiple issues with this location. A single employee running the gas station, cooking fast food and servicing the uhaul rentals. Returned truck 9 hours before it was due, yet was charged for a whole extra day. No communication and never able to get ahold of the location. They repeatedly attempted to charge my card for the wrong amount. Had to escalate with corporate office to stop them from charging incorrectly. In the past I have always had great experiences with Uhaul, however this experience was horrible. I assume it was the specific location which caused the issues.Tyler W.

We reserved a pickup truck. When given the keys, they were for a van. The station couldn't find the pickup keys, so I directed them to transfer the contract to the van. The vehicle was picked up at approximately 11:30 am, returned at 7:47 am the following day. I was not able to get a receipt as "the manager wouldn't be in until after 2:00 pm. I documented my return time and mileage, and called U Haul customer service in Mesa and reported the information to Liz. When my receipt was emailed by the station manager, it showed a return time of 2:36 pm ( when he showed up for work). Lis at customer service was helpful and refunded the overcharge. The service station attendant told me that he had no access to the office and therefore could not process my return. I asked him what would have happened if I was there to rent, when the manager, with office access was absent. The office itself is filthy, in complete disarray. I could not recommend this location to anyone, however U Haul customer service in Mesa, Liz and Becky were outstanding.Jeanette S.

I have never had to connect, & disconnect a U-Haul trailer rental by myself. All they did upon pickup, was to come out & take a picture once I had connected everything. They didn't help unhook & stow the rental upon return, just said "put it over there", and when I asked for them to check it in, they just said "take a picture". Trailer was filthy outside, and the door was extremely hard to work, given my recent shoulder surgery. This location was LAME, and I'll never rent something from them again!Brian H.

When I rented the equipment there was no one at the counter. After some time a man walks out of a closet where he was watching something on his cell phone. He appeared to be annoyed that I was there to pick up the trailer. there is no desk or computer or printer in that place. He operated out of cell phone and sent me a rental agreement via cell phone to my email he said.After returning the equipment I found I was over charged 8$ for the insurance I did not want. I tried to call UHAUL several times. I was put on hold for more than an hour. what a racket.Shantha K.
I have photo of fuel gauge indicating 1/8 fuel remaining, drove 10 miles and low fuel lamp flashed, dirty console, cab floor and box was not swept before renting out. Prior to checking back in, I put 3 gallons of fuel from their business, taking the fuel level over 1/8 of a tank. This location changed me for an additional 4 gallons of fuel, I drove only 13 miles, I paid out of pocket for 3 gallons of fuel and was charged for additional 4 gallons. This is not how you take care of your business. Seriously will be renting from the competition.Crawford C.

The staff and the team in general were absolutely great, they were super professional, courteous, helpful and positive. I would rent again at this location thanks to them. On the other hand the equipment was not in the best conditions or had the best maintenance. The electric plugs were corroded and the trailer had a lot of dirt in the back.Carlos C.

This location is at a very busy gas station and the staff has to work both the store and U-Haul side of it. So even if you use the app to do everything, you still have to go into store to get keys. At that point you have to wait for them to serve the gas store customers. The staff was very friendly, but overwhelmed with the store side of the place. The van was very dirty and was heavily smoked inside. There were ashes everywhere and old food on the floor. I ended up vacuuming and wiping down the inside. I do have pictures if needed. The trailer I reserved was fine and at the location on time. I also reserved an appliance cart and a furniture cart. Neither was available and the appliance cart was very important to our move. Although they made calls, they were some what put out as they thought I should be making the calls to look for the items. Guy didn't know what he was doing and he over charged me $30. Dispatch called me to confirm drop off location and I advised I was over charged and she told me when I returned it the office would refund me $30 and she was going to document my file. I returned it and they said they could not. So I called back and got another lady that said "nope we don't do that" how am I going to pay $50 in taxes on a $119 rentalDavid G.

Wrong code given to unlock U-Haul. Gentleman working at gas station very helpful in helping me. U-Haul customer service terrible in helping me. Had requested hand dolly and furniture dolly, neither were given to me. Had to drive around to different U-Haul locations, which were given to me by customer service, which none had any. Had to buy them myself at Home Depot. Not a good experience with U-Haul. Pick up and drop off locations were great.Tahsin A.
The station was dirty and needs a makeover. Although the truck was clean, it only had a third of a tank of gas, which added to problems when I returned it. I put 78 miles on the truck and, not knowing the mpg, did not know how much to put into the tank to bring it up to the third of a tank level. None of the employees were helpful. Another problem was the loose steering mechanism. With over 107,000 miles on the truck, the steering needs to be addressed. As it is, the steering wheel has a very â€œloosey- gooseyâ€ feel which added to my stress in driving in the heavy Scottsdale traffic. I think U-Haul needs to re-examine whether this location properly represents the image the company has built over the years.LAURENCE EDWIN S.
