I rented the equipment for a 4-hour period and returned it 15 minutes late. I received an e-mail receipt informing me that I would be charged for the 4-hour period, mileage plus an additional 24-hours. That topic was not discussed when I returned and handed in the key and asked if we could expedite the return. I was told I would receive confirmation of return within 1-hour.Marcia R.

A bad experience all around. Arrived at 7:30am for pickup and no one was in the office for 15 minutes. Although I was first in line when doors opened, he helped other customers first with non-Uhaul items (this is a gas station). Was not familiar with Uhaul app which was used to process me even though I had done on-line check in the evening before. Had reserved pads but was told none were available. Got out of there 35 minutes late. Truck had garbage in the cab from prior use. Called about 5 hours into reservation said I would be late in returning vehicle; he said "no problem". When I returned at 3:30pm which was 2 hours after deadline, he said he would have to charge me for 2 days including double the insurance and dolleys. I was very angry and said I would dispute charge. Called Uhaul to dispute and was on hold for 45 minutes and then rep disconnected me after being put on hold. Finally got someone to help me and ended up getting second day items removed. Very poor customer service.Joseph F.
Made a reservation online for a 26' truck, furniture dolly, two appliance dollies, and moving blankets. Upon getting there to pick up the truck, I was informed there were no dollies or blankets. I had to call another Uhaul location to go pick up dollies and blankets. Making us run late on moving, and creating issues all around.Raoul R.

Went to pick up one size. Wasn't available. Wasn't warned ahead of time it wasn't available. Was charged for larger size due to poor customer service and an overwhelmed clerk. A heads up to customer that says items aren't available abs perhaps due to those errors not faulting the unsuspecting customer with higher fees would be a start to improve serviceAndrew P.

The van was filthy with pet hair, leaves and dirt. We ordered 12 blankets and they only had 3. The guy who did the check in said he wasn't going to charge us and instead the $10 was included in the final receipt. I called to ask for a refund and I waited a long time just to be told that I need to drive back to the gas station and ask the owner to get a refund. I'm moving today and I can't drive back so I'm out of$10. Not pleased at all.Kenneth T.

I got a call the night before that I would have to change my pick up to a location 30 minutes father away. On arrival, they had none of the items I had pre-rented (dolly, moving pads) and the gentleman helping me, though very nice and trying, wasn't able to help at all. He just told me to go to a different location and check there. I arrived at the 2nd location, no dollies and it took over 30 minutes just to get 3 packs of moving pads.Nicole C.

This was a busy gas station/convenience store with ONE clerk. The clerk was helpful, but he had to squeeze me in the few times that there were no customers in the store. I get that UHaul is trying to make more locations convenient, but I would rather drive a little farther and get better customer service!!John C.
I ordered online and added 1 dolly and 1 appliance dolly. Neither items were in the truck when I picked it up. It was my fault not to check to make sure before I pulled off. So, when I returned to pick my 2 dolly's up they tell me I have to go to another Uhaul down the street to receive them but when I got there it was an additional $18 which is crazy because I ordered this online and should have been placed in the truck to begin with. Second why was my 20' truck $100 deposit and yet I still have no return in money??? So, what they did was charged me twice for the dolly's which was included in my online order. That's not right!!! I will be disputing this and calling the BBB unless I can receive a cash receipt of what exactly costed $100.Janice W.
The truck was ready but it was not very safe to drive. It needed an alignment and felt as if it was going to fall apart as we were driving. Maintenance is needed on this truck. We also ordered 5 dozen pads and only received 1 from the location (which was relocated as well the day before). I had to drive to another location to pick up the other pads.WESLEYALAN P.

The operator was occupied with counter sales and handled our transaction on a piece-meal basis. It was a very chaotic experience, renting a van between lottery ticket sales and I was anxious to get out of the store. When I brought the van back, I filled it to the level when I checked it out only to find the contract showed a higher level- this is my fault for not going over the contract during the initial purchase mayhem. I took a picture of the initial odometer & gas level but what is on the contract is binding so I paid the additional fuel penalty. I got a link that allowed me to verify the condition of the van and adjust the gas level at the time of the rental which I did but apparently it did not register. I would not recommend this location to anyone & am considering BBB and consumer protection referrals.QJ F.

The person who is supposed to be keeping up with the equipment does not. I received the truck with ash and old food in the cab, the cargo area was dirty. Unfortunately I had to accept this truck because it was the only one available due to my original reservation being changed because a truck was not returned on time. The attendant didn't even know where the keys were and it took him 10 minutes to find them on the key rack next to him.NICHOLAS D.

someone concerned about people renting equipment. Asked about gas milage was told to go online to U haul website. Asked about unladen weight was told it's on your contract. Cab was not cleaned. when I turned blower for ventilation it smelled like cat P. couldn't use air with out opening windows. Clean the cab. I found a pack of cigarettes, empty chip nag, and empty sauce packet. I ordered a utility dolly which was not provided and now I have to call and get a refund. Very disappointed in this location and will not pick up from there again.Suzanna A.

The only problem I had was with the u haul website. We were trying to add time for our truck and the website would not let me into the account or make an account. It kept giving me an error message. And I called 1800 gouhaul and sat on hold for an hour before I hung up. Very terrible experience. The store we got the truck from was greatJUSTINJONATHAN R.

Actually, they did a pretty good job. I made the reservation around 8:30 AM, maybe even a little later, for a 9 AM pick-up. So I didn't really expect the vehicle to be totally ready at 9 AM, but they did a nice job of getting it together on the fly without a whole lot of hassle, and when I got done with the vehicle they checked me in fast also. I appreciated the way they worked with me on unreasonably short notice.Frederick G.
Worst experience I've ever had with a moving truck company. First and last time I'll ever go to uhaul. The pick up location was a shell gas station and the one employee running the store had to also help us in between other customers. The whole process took an hour to pick everything up and even though I had made my reservation a month in advance, they still didn't have everything I needed. The truck was left in a disgusting state. Food and drinks left in cup holders, crumbs all over the seats. We had to clean up their garbage and wipe down the entire van before we could even sit in there. 2 days into my trip to my out of state move, they charged me over $200 because someone else had an auto transport in my name and turned it in somewhere else. No idea how that could happen when at the time, I still had the auto transport with my car on it and hadn't even made it to my new place yet. The woman was supposed to fix the problem and get back to me and still has yet to do so and the money they took has not been refunded. Never again.Katherine R.

Have them do a walk around and document damage prior to customer taking it. They did not do that for us and are now accusing us of damage we did not do. His only course of action was to show us a picture of the truck on 9/22. (We rented truck on 9/27) We asked if itd be rented since then and he said yes... So what good does that do? Poor service. Will not be using Uhaul again. We also got an email stating they would be in contact for the damage (which was to the roof and had glue reminents from where someone had tried to fix it). Too far from requested pick up location for starters. There were two U-haul centers that were closer that I am certain had the trailer we ordered - that doesn't include all the satellite sites. Gas station was busy and the guys working needed to prioritize the business vice the rentals. Didn't know much about the trailer and weren't very helpful with hooking upMiguel G.

I had requested the uhaul for 24 hours but I ended up only needing it for 2-3 hours. So I called the location at Newtown and asked them if I could bring it back early and I asked if I brought it back early would I be issued a refund since I didn't use it for the full 24 hours, they said yes but I just got my receipt and I was still charged for the 24 hours. I would still like a refund. This is very inconvenient and considering I already have a lot to worry about with the move this is adding to the stress and should have been taken care of already.Tia A.

I did the online pick up and it wasn't working. I went inside the empty was nice. They were able to help me. The van smelled horrible. There was a very strong smell of cigarettes. Once I returned the van I had issues with turning it back in. I had to get gas in the van and the gas station/uhal location had issues with taking debit cards. I waited around for about 45 minutes and then at the end of the day I was charged extra.OLGA BERENICE H.

I normally go to a real Uhaul location. But Google? I had to wait till the girl get her, i guest manager on the phone. Then she gave me the phone and said it will ring in 2 minutes. The phone ranged and the guy went over the contract. He told me to give her the phone and she will give me the key. OMG...the truck was so raggady. The driver side mirror kept tilling down. I had to wipe it down my self. It needed a front in alignment. Inside the back of the truck was. Sooo dirty. Paper and trash. And the nerve to state on the sticker in their $25. Fee if you leave it drity. Their was no one to go over the truck, like the real locations, it had little round x stickers all over the truck where it had dints and marks. That was the was the worst Uhaul experience i ever had. . It's funny you ask what can be improved for the next customer? Stop letting that location use your name. Signed, NOT HAPPY.??Sandy P.
