The people who work at the location did not really know what to do. When I picked up the truck there was a lot of confusion and I was left waiting for 15-20 minutes until they finally figured out what to do. When I dropped off the truck there was also a lot of confusion. First the man consistently argued with me about the fuel gauge on the truck and said it was not where it was supposed to be, when it clearly was. I just went and filled it all the way up for his satisfaction. Also, they tried to charge me much more than I needed to pay, and I constantly tried to tell them the price was incorrect, but they would not listen. Finally they agreed they were wrong in trying to charge me $40-$50 more. The experience with the truck was good, but when it came to the customer service, it was absolutely horrible.

I ask for unlimited miles. You charge for mileage. When you know you're going a long distance why would you pay per mile. I'll never rent from this location or Uhaul again. Make b sure everybody understand each other.

We went to the front desk of the gas station to check in, and the front desk individual said we should check in online. We spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to pre-check in. After completing the pre-check In we went back to the desk and the staff seemed frustrated that we had come back in. We then walked out and called a customer service number and they were able to fully check us in via walking us through the online check in process.

There was one employee working by himself so we were interrupted multiple times during the transaction, I am watching my account for a double charge. He did not seem to be knowledgable about the software and was not very personable.

UHaul attendant was very slow and only took time to check out gas station customers. Uhaul was not swept out. Very disorganized location.

I tried returning the Uhaul and this was a gas station location where the attendant was of no help. Told us to drop our keys and papers in the box and it would be checked in the afternoon. I tried the mobile check-in on the app and on my web browser and it would not locate my phone, therefore not allowing me to move forward with the process or able to read instructions on what to do next. The only resolution was to call into u-haul and I received help from Amanda Rodriguez. She was helpful but the process of returning online is flawed.

This location i did not have mich trouble with besides it just taking forever to get my keys for an online reservation. My issue was with the original uhual location i was suppose to get my truck from that even had a 50 dollar guarantee. Did not have my truck and even told me to look else wer when i had made my reservation there for a reason. Finally got them to call in to find another location. The guy i was on the phone with about my new location was rude. Especially when i asked about my 50 dollars they wer suppose to give me. I have yet to recieve my 50 couldnt get a direct answer about how i was going to get that. The guy said i would be credited to my credit card.

When we arrived there, they said :Oh we don't have the truck you have to go to another location. I read the policy about returning back 60$ if they don't have the truck. They promise us to give us the 60$. At the other location they said you have to call the 1800 number.

It took 30 minutes for me to pick up my vehicle. I think most of this was because the website was down, but it was still annoying to go through. Then when I dropped my vehicle off, I was given confusing instructions on how to properly fill the fuel level.

The truck I reserved was not available so I was not able to use online check out and was directed to the counter inside. The attendant had no clue how to use the system and even ended up deleting my reservation. FINALLY, after over 90 Minutes of waiting, he finally got some help and put me in a 20ft truck, since the 15ft was not available. The issue was my 15ft ruck was supposed to have been turned in on the prior day. It was not, and nobody at Uhaul checked that the truck was available. Several days prior to pick up, my pick up location was changed to this new location, but there was no confirmation performed that my truck was actually ready prior to my arrival. That is a UHaul problem. The lack of expertise at this particular location was less of a Uhaul issue and more of the location not being trained, although there has to be some oversight. Once i got past the absolutely poor check out process, the rest of the rental was fine, except for the fact I was driving a much bigger truck than I wanted, spending more gas than I needed. The 15ft reserved was bigger than I really needed, so the 20ft truck I ended up with was HUGE. UHaul apparently has no method to confirm a vehicle is at the renting location and ready. The result is what happened to me, and I'm sure many others. All they had to do was re-direct me to a location that had a 15ft truck, AND a competent agent.

I was scheduled to pick up at 5 pm. I arrived at 4:40 pm. The truck was there & ready, but I had to wait until 5 pm to get the truck. Not real sure why.

After getting the truck and at first all seemed to be smooth sailing. But the distance to my home where I was moving from was not far. However, on the departure to my new home in Winder, GA, once on the highway the needle on the temperature went into the red zone. Indicating the engine was over heating. This caused us to stop and wait for engine to cool down. This caused my arrival time to take longer than expected. Very unhappy with this rental and also a risk to our safety. Uhaul needs to provide rentals with full tank of gas. Having a tank that is, for example. slightly over 3/4 full requires the customer to watch the gas gauge as they fill up to try to get back to the original fuel level. If over then Uhaul gets free gas, if under (based on Uhaul's discretion) Uhaul charges a high fuel rate. In the future, I will NOT rent a Uhaul vehicle unless it is filled up. This allows the customer to just fill it back up before returning.

Because he told me one price and charge me more didn’t give no receipts for me renting the truck and doozie went from$19.95 to $57.00 I know I had to pay for mileage but he’s saying I went 95 miles but I didn’t fill the truck up and still got over charged to much. Poor customer service.

A U-Haul outlet that is a convenience store with only 1 employee working is unacceptable because when I brought the truck back the clerk could not leave the store to check the extremely leaky box truck in, therefore my concerns were not addressed. The U-Haul regional manager could not be reached and would not return my voicemail that I left. The U-Haul contact for email did not return my email either. I thought I was a good customer , as I have used U-Haul many many times with no problems, now I feel taken advantage of. Customer service is horrible

I had previously reserved a truck at a different location off of north avenue in Athens, GA. Upon arriving to the office I was informed that they did not have a truck available for me. Apparently two customers had not returned their trucks and this was why. I was infuriated because as a customer with a legitimate reservation, I expect a truck to be ready regardless of other customers. The employee stated she did not have any “one way” trucks available for me to take despite there being at least 30 trucks in the lot. I was willing to take a different size truck but still i was told I would have to return it to Athens which did not work for me. Instead of providing me with one of the trucks I was told I had to find one at a different location. She began to call around (not so happily might I add) and luckily there was one available at the shell gas station. The shell employee was very helpful and for that I am grateful. Although it worked out, I have the feeling the uhaul employee at the original pickup location would have left me without a truck if they didn’t find one. I find this completely unacceptable. I have used uhaul many times in the past to move however this makes me consider never using the company again.

Truck reserved for 2:30. Truck was not there when I arrived, was told that it could be "hours" until they got it back. I asked them to take my number down and call me when it got there. An hour later I was driving by taking small loads in my car to the storage unit, and the truck was sitting outside, yet I had not been contacted. Half an hour later after unloading my car and still not being contacted, I went to the location and got the truck, which took about 30 minutes do do all the paperwork. When I returned the truck after only going 9 miles and filling it with a full gallon of gas, the needle was in the exact same spot as when I started, yet the guy told me I needed "several gallons more". I have pictures of the dashboard showing this. I left without complying, and will be contacting uhaul about receiving at the very least a refund for whatever gas related charges were added to my bill

There were not enough staff available to process the uhaul clients. There was a long wait and it was very disorganized. Renting additional equipment was not clear and I ended up with additional things that I did not need. I am concerned that I was overcharged.

Not the location we chose to begin with. The employee had a “be back in ten minute” sign on the door. Twenty minutes later door was still locked. Just returned online without the employees help. (We arrived at the location at 3:10 pm)

You can ensure the equipment the customer reserved is indeed available and that there is an acceptable level of customer service at the time of reserved pickup. This U-Haul is run out of a convenience store and my husband had to wait while our transaction was being interrupted by customers coming into the store for gas and cigarettes. We were further inconvenienced by the lack of appliance and furniture dollies as I had reserved and confirmed on my reservation. Knowing I had a lot of heavy pieces to transport, I had reserved the appliance and furniture dollies. Extra time was spent because I had to go to Wal-mart and purchase one of each myself while I kept my movers waiting. This delayed the loading of the vehicle. YES! I was beyond irritated and had to spend almost $100 over and above the cost of the truck. Moving is bad enough; to be inconvenienced at the very beginning of an already stressful activity is unacceptable to me.
