Book direct with a location of possible otherwise uhaul located and it is always in the wrong direction.

The cab of the truck smelled strongly of marijuana & they did nothing about it. Didn't even offer a discount or a different vehicle. The deck was filthy I had to sweep it out before I could use it and then I swept and mopped it out before returning it back to the location. And the employee did nothing about that either. My mileage was incorrect what I received my vehicle so they took off 2 miles from my total miles used to compensate for the miles that were extra on the odometer from when I picked it up.

I had a lot of issues with picking up the Uhaul truck even after making the reservation on the U-Haul app. When I went to pick up, I encountered issues first starting when I had to enter my niece's info and wait till someone from uhaul to call her and verify my identity. Then as I was checking the vehicles ID number and comparing it to the same number on the app, it asked me if there was additional drivers I went to enter no and the app started me back to the beginning. So I went inside to talk to someone to figure it all out, the girl working first told me that they didn't have the truck on site. I told her that in fact the truck is outside and I already confirmed the number. And as well as having a representative just called my niece, she didn't say anything about the truck not being available. Then the girl at the counter said the truck was out of service. I was losing my patience with it all. So after verifying my reservation and checking on the vehicle, i was told that they had to go and put gas in it making me have to wait longer. When I finally got in the truck, it wasn't very clean and it smelled like cigarettes. No one came out with me to go over the truck. I didn't have to sign anything or even given any paperwork. I thought they wasn't very professional. Then when I returned the truck, I went into the office to let them know I was returning the truck, and the man working just said, “thank you and good bye”! I thought he'd check on the truck to make sure everything was good. Again, lacking professional service. I wasn't too happy from the start to the end of my reservation.

Due to the snowfall amount in this area it was tough to maneuver the trailer for drop-off. Trailers should have Jack's for lifting them off the ball hitch. It is all one could do to separate them. Otherwise all very good people to work with.

This location has nothing to do with the problem. Our original reservation was at the Madison Avenue Mankato location. I made the reservation for a 10 ft truck 6 weeks prior to 7/16. I got to the location in kato and no truck. Had to drive 40 miles to st James to get a truck. Why should o have to pay for extra gas when this is a UHaul problem. Can't get a hold of a person. I have never been let down by our town sharpline uhaul renter. Bill is absolutely the most respectful person you will ever meet, he will go an extra mile to help you and he has quite the deals. And if you aren't looking for a uhaul, feel free to check out the store that is inside. So many items to choose from and again, great deals. Highly recommend 👌 & will rent again. Keep up the good work Bill 👏

When a customer has to estimate how much gas to put in and misses the line by less than 1mm. Don't charge ridiculous gas shortage fees.

Don't require them to drive two hours to pick up the truck. I reserved the truck in a suburb of Minneapolis, but was required to drive two hours away to a small town in Rural MN to get the truck.

U-Haul moved the pick up location which was father away and by the time we got there for the pick up, they had already cancelled the reservation. They didn't mind taking the money in advance tho. The telephone number for ANY sort of customer service is a no win situation for the customer. On hold for ever with no one ever answering the phone.
