Horrible experience the U-Haul worker never showed up for work gas station attendant gave us the keys. Our reservation kept getting moved in the end to three different locations. Service was horrible. The location was dirty and while we waited for over three hours for our truck the location had no AC.lauren V.

This place has too much going on. I waited at the register for ten minutes while the I'm assuming the owner was taking care of a man playing numbers, he waited till he scratched off purchased more numbers and so on and so on. Then a patron from behind asked â€œdo we have to play numbers to get service?â€ A cook then came and started taking care of the long line that had formed. (He was polite and helpful) Too much going on !!!Teresa J.
The pick up process was horrible. The reception in the area wasn't great and needing to have two other people that UHaul could call that minute should have been disclosed earlier and was incredibly time consuming. We did all the pre-pickup information in an effort to save time and make the process easier but it still took exceedingly long, was frustrating, and at times, unclear.Douglas S.

Had an issue with a need to go into store as equipment was not available for me. The attendant quickly resolved the issue. (Prior renter did not submit mileage). After checking for additional rented items not in the truck attendant again provided these items for me.Christian C.

The final invoice seems to be incorrect and I was charged for fuel even though I refilled fuel before returning. Also fuel was $12 and I drove less then 9 miles.Paul C.

Looked like a minor side business for them. Counter person was very friendly but had to enter all data on a small cell phone. The pads were dirty and generally disgusting. But truck was in number one shape.Charles M.

I reserved the truck to be picked up in West Haven. I had to drive an extra 10 miles to pick the truck up 2 towns over and wasted seven dollars on unnecessary miles. I asked if I could return the van to Orange and I was told yes. When i attempted to drop the van off in Orange i was told there was going to be a fee between 225 and 300 dollars. I called 1800gouhaul and they confirmed this information. So after wasting miles to drive to Orange I had to waste more miles to drive to North Haven. I turned a 6 mile total rental into 30 miles and 12 dollars in gas. I will be renting trucks every Friday through Sunday until March and Uhaul will be my last resort. Nobody takes any responsibility for the mix up and when I dropped the van off in North Haven, the gentleman working had no clue how to check in a rental. I was there for 25 minutes with him sitting in the rental not telling me anything. This was a terrible experience and I hope to never have to use uhaul in the future. I spent an unnecessary thirty dollars on this rental and apparently it's my fault for someone giving me bad information. Just an overall bad experience start to finish.Christopher P.
Nothing to do with UHAUL as a company, just was not happy with Shatki Food LLC. I call ahead to see if I can come get the van, and was told it was fine. Upon arrival, computer was not working. I had to use his dirty cell phone to complete order. I did my reservation online ahead of time, this took over 20 minutes. I was then told that he did not have access to the key? Another 10 minutes went by until he found the key. No inspection of the vehicle was done, and no paperwork was given to me. About 30 minutes after I left, he then called me to ask what my mileage and gas meter was? I rented a few days before out of Guilford, CT and had an excellent experience so I know it is not UHAUL just the specific location.Andrew P.
