Set pickup for 8:00am and arrived on time but business didn't open until 9:00am. Also I paid an extra 10 dollars for moving blanket I never received. I had the drop off for 9:00pm but I dropped it off early around 2:45pm so I could avoid the after hour drop off fee and ask about the missing moving blanket, but they were once again closed.Richard L.

The location was supposed to be open Saturdays from 10 AM till 2 PM. My pick up was scheduled for 10. When I got there, the business was closed. Luckily they had emergency contact numbers posted on the door. I called both of them with no response but left a voicemail stating I was at their location to pick up a U-Haul that was scheduled for pick up that day. The first number was for Jay and I did not receive a call from him. The second number was for Sara. She called me back to say that she had been out all week for a death in the family and she would try to reach Jay. When she wasn't able to reach him, she called me back to let me know she would be coming in to take care of me. No issues after she arrived.Lori D.
Run down car lot, I was called the day before to change my pickup location to this one which was further away. When I arrived the girl at the counter barely spoke or looked at me. She never even got up to show me which trailer was mine.Shawn S.
I requested a receipt for dropping off the truck, the man refused to give me one. I wasnt leaving a 100k truck in perfect cond w/out proof of return. The man was very rude would not give me the key back to return to another location. I had to call the police, he told me he didnt care what the fuck I did!!!, just before police arrived he checked in the truck so I got a receipt from uhaul. Thats all he had to do from the beginning. This man was very disturbing to me and caused me a great deal of stress. I would revoke uhual rentals/returns from this business the way I was treated is inexcusable caused me great anxiety and my heart was racing, fortunately I had a friend with me, because if she was not there, im not sure what would have hapoen. Now this man has my home address which is within a mile away also upsetting!!!Lori D.

The unit that I rented was a 20 footer. It smelled like armpits, stunk! The steering was loose and caused the truck to wander while driving. When I picked it up I was hoping that I had enough gas in it to get to a gas station. The truck stunk badly and I would appreciate a full or partial refund. Unit should be retired or the entire front steering system rebuilt. Not enjoyable driving this truck!CURTIS C.

Making all vehicles electronic windows and doors. I was driving alone and had to manually lock and open windows by pulling over on 1-95. First world problems I know but still annoying. Installing a modern radio with Bluetooth or aux would of helped Alot too. I had to drive from South Carolina to NY with just the sound of traffic or the deafening sound of the engine with the windows closed because I had no way of listening to the radio which wasn't very strong and my phone volume couldn't block out the sound of the truck. These are all first world problems there's ultimately was nothing wrong with the truck but just an idea if Uhaul felt like spending hundreds of millions on modernizing their vehicle fleet.David L.

They were rude! It was raining hard and they didn't tell me which truck was mine and I never did give out where it was marked. I ended up having to see which truck my key fit into the ignition after they came out and told me the wrong truck! Then they told me I needed to park my car in the back or it would be towed within 30 minutes!DRU F.
I was completely overcharged - my agreement was for $29 truck plus mileage and tax....somehow I ended up getting charged $127. I put $25 of gas in the truck to cover the 19 miles I went, but was STILL charged for gas ($60). Was also charged extra 'safe move coverage' fee that I had opted out of.... No one checked the mileage or gas when I picked up or returned the truck. They gave me the keys and pointed to the truck, upon return they simply took the keys and said thank you. Then I received a receipt with 61.00 charge for mileage on a local rental. I ended up paying double what I expected. The truck drove rough and pulled to the right making it difficult to drive.Gena G.
They had on my invoice that I used it 64 miles and that was incorrect. I went 11 miles to storage building and 13 miles on the return. They did not even check when I returned it but charged me an extra $38.00 on my invoice. Will never recommend Uhaul to my guests/friends that stay at the hotel I manage. Shame on Uhaul for overcharging. I probably have rented from you at least 6-8 times as my job moves me and this has never occurred. I rented a truck at JD rentals on Saturday morning at 10:30am on 6/30/18 and drove the truck 27 miles and then returned the truck the same day hand delivered the key to the JD motors worker. The truck was returned around 6pm and the owner of the store will still present and told me to put the key on his deck and he would check in the truck. I originally signed up for the $14 safe move option. I was billed for 3 days of use and charged for the $42 insurance rate. This more than doubled my bill. When asking why I was charged so much I was told I have to call Uhaul. The person on the phone at JD Motors refused to tell me his name. I WAS CHEATED BY THIS LOCATION! ATTENTION!!!!! DO NOT GO TO JD MOTORS!!!!Justin J.

Make sure you have a person trained properly who knows how to handle your business if you, the manager, are not available. Keep your contracted promises to customers in regards to pick up "location", "size of truck" and "time of pick up". People have schedules just as well as you do and their time is valuable, especially on moving day!Mary A.

The man in the office refused to give me a receipt saying the equipment was turned in, and undamaged after having his employee to go out and check it.. because I didn't get insurance I wanted something for peace of mind.. the man in the office in the back was very rude and not helpful at all.. he did not understand my concern. He did tell me I would get a email later. I just couldn't leave it without receipt that he refused to give me. so I spent time I didn't have in the parking lot calling uhaul to report that it's turned in but I can't get receipt and that I didn't want to leave without it.. after speaking with Susan at uhaul, she tried to call the man, he didn't answer for whatever reason , then she called transportation to help me who then reported that it had just been verified as turned in.. that man was not helpful and very rude to me on this matter. I did the advanced check in to expedite the process. It took an hour to pay. His computer system didn't work. He didn't know if he had any pre ordered blankets or a hand truck. There were issues with the transmission in the truck. I was very dis satisfied.Kevin F.

Location at first refused to let us take the truck saying it was reserved for the next day and they didn't have a reservation in our name. Finally, the realized we were supposed to have the truck. When we returned it, we didn't receive any itemized bill but were told we'd get billing info in email, so we had no idea what the final charge was before the amount hit our bank account. I had a bad experience here and with the entire rental process. The pick up and drop off locations were changed and the time was changed to 12 pm. I chose the locations based on time and convince for us, then they were changed. I had to make several phone calls to try and get things straightened out and still had trouble. Not to mention rude staff. I filed a complaint and when the manager called me back he offered me a free rental that is good for 2 years. Really? I just moved, not planning on moving in the next 2 years again. He should have at least given me a discount on the fees. If I do ever move, I will not use u haul again!Rickie Ann L.

Equipment was not available at reserved location on Hwy 101 dealer. When we arrived at 10:15am appointment, we were told "the guy who handles the rentals will be back in 45 minutes." They did not the complete equipment we had reserved. Truck was dirty.William H.

This location is ghetto. I dropped off my truck 40 hours AHEAD of schedule and they still charged me for an extra day. I even called them to let them know the truck had been returned and they STILL charged me. I would NEVER recommend them. They were rude and no help at all. Pathetic location.Archie G.

There is an issue with the online registration database and the database that the agents use at the individual store locations. When I registered for the trailer, the online program said that the vehicle being towed would work with the trailer. When I went to pick up the trailer, the program used by the agent said that the towed vehicle would not work with the trailer i had rented. It appears that there is an inconsistency between the two software programs. This created extra stress until the issue was resolved. The vehicle fit nicely on the trailer and the 650 mile haul was done without a problem.RICK P.
