I showed up at 10am to pick up my truck. When I logged in to start the process, it took 20 minutes for my rental to “be approved” before I could even start picking up the truck. As a result, it took me over 30 minutes to pick up the truck while I had people waiting for me. Also, not happy with the recent addition of .79/mile. Never had to pay for mileage with U-Haul before.

The desk attendant is racist, ride and disrespectful. She refused to help us and called us from her cell phone to collect our credit card information.

This was my first time using the mobile option and I had problems. When I called the phone number listed I got one of the rudest persons I’ve ever heard. Sounded like I was more than bothering her. Got the feeling she didn’t care about customer service. I think I’ve figured out how to do your mobile check in and return so I won’t bother your employees again.

Other reviews were mixed but I was using the app to pick up the truck so I thought "That stuff doesn't really apply to me. I'm sure it will be fine." I picked up the truck Saturday and knew the office would be closed. The back still had a small amount of trash in it, there was an extra dolly we didn't rent, and the one we did rent was the wrong kind. The furniture mats weren't folded and I was afraid we'd be charged for them but we weren't. We just had minor inconveniences but no big deal. The whole thing took about 30 min which was longer than I expected, but it's not the fault of the location. We returned the truck on Monday when the office was supposed to be open. We mistakenly followed the truck return checklist instead of the link to actually return the truck so my husband had already turned the keys into the lock box when we realized we would need the odometer reading which is digital and only comes on when the truck is on. There was a note on the door to call or text if we needed help, so we did and received a text a little later that said no one would be in until 4:30 pm. It was 10 am. After several calls to Uhaul and text messages to the number on the door we were assured we wouldn't be charged extra and it would be taken care of. I've had companies screw me over plenty of times before so I was sure there'd be something on our bill we would need to dispute, but luckily that didn't happen. Overall I would say if you're on a time crunch or need specific equipment go to a different location.

If the personnel checking us out would just stop talking about her personal life and quit complaining about “the corporate people at Uhaul” and stop talking about where the previous customers are headed to, then the service would be more efficient. Booked a truck for 9am, got there on time. There was someone ahead. Understandable, right? But to have the rented vehicle on our hand after about 1.5 hours is BAD service. It was our moving day!! We had movers wait while she runs her mouth. I politely tried to tell her I already checked in online because we have movers paid by the hour and are now waiting. Did not make a difference. As a matter of fact, she said she has to do it all over again. The truck was clean and in good condition - the experience could have been better.

When I rented the truck it had a little over 1/8 fuel. I used it for 15.5 miles and I put 4 gallons of gas. I returned it with a 1/4 tank and the lady gave me a hard time at check in. I also found a small bag of marijuana in the truck. Very very small bag. I showed it to the lady at check in and her response was. "That's nothing" it's legal in most states. It was appalling. I told her I wanted to inform her because I didn't want uhaul to think it was mine. It was in the truck when I rented it. She wouldn't even take it and throw it away. Sadly it was a bad experience for me. The truck worked fine

Not just this location, but would like all UHaul locations to wash the inside windows, especially the main windshield. The film is unsafe and the glare makes it hard to drive safe.

Renting anything from Uhaul has become a joke. This is the second time in a row that we needed to rent something and the first, or second location didn't have what we rented. And the promise of $50 if that happens isn't real. It isn't the locations fault at all. It's the terrible system! And when I say terrible I mean it. Last week when we were trying to get a moving truck to move into our home it took hours and multiple different locations calling to say that they didn't have what the call center said they did. Returning it was just as complicated. I'm about done renting anything from Uhaul.

The only thing I have to say is when I picked up the uhaul it was not clean and the representative for the uhaul in Rowlett, TX did not do a walk through with me to check for any damages on the uhaul. Other than that had a very good experience from renting the uhaul. I will rent from uhaul again.

The owner very patiently answered all of my questions about the truck we would be driving across country. I was a little nervous about driving it but she was very encouraging and everything worked out fine. The truck was in great shape, almost new, and pretty easy to handle once we got a bit of practice. I also appreciated the owner calling me beforehand to let me know she would be running late due to her daughter's SAT test that morning. That worked out just fine for us and it meant that I wasn't waiting around which was great. The location was convenient too. I would not hesitate to rent there again if the need arises.

Went to store aug 18 at 2:30pm during business hours and there was a hand written note saying they were closed. Dropped a trailer off at 2 didn’t get a receipt until 3:50. Poor service.

This location is difficult to reach by phone and the storefront is not professional. There was a small makeshift desk in the front waiting area with kids of the manager/employee running around and dog barking. Smelled of dog urine and musty. The manager/employee was very nice when we did reach her and when we checked out the vehicle. However, upon return at 4:30pm on Monday within business hours, there was no one on premise and no parking spot. We called the number posted on the door and were told to leave the key in the dropbox. When we told her that there was no parking and we parked next door, she told us it would probably get towed at our expense. She offered no other resolution and was very unprofessional on the phone when we questioned this type of service. She was yelling at us and hung up. Her actions and lack of help caused anxiety for us. Rowlett deserves better and we will not use this location again. We would prefer to rent local and we took a chance on this location despite other similar poor reviews.

We couldn't get the lock off the cargo bay to get to the truck keys. The combination code on the lock would not work. Nobody was in the office. This was around 9:30am. Tried calling and got no answer. Tried to leave a message but the voice mailbox was filled. We just left and went to another U-Haul. Now I see a pending charge to my account for a rental I was not able to use. I will be calling to get this reimbursed if it goes through.
