Software was inefficient and difficult. This was compounded by a weak signal that isn't U-Haul's fault, but the lack of alternatives when the software wasn't performing made checking the truck in a hassle.MICHAEL L.

The girl who was accepting our uhaul started to talk about how we wanted to pay and I had to show her the receipt and how we already paid in full at the pickup location. Then the said the computer reset and she could see that. If the system could just be updated faster maybe?Rachael I.

Rats and mice got into my unit. They ruined alot of clothing. I had 2 units i moved out of one on the 5th and the second one on the 11th of this month and i just got a notice i needed to pay rent. It was very upsetting that the tenants where not made aware of the rodent infestation when it happened to be able to make needed arrangements for their belongings. I was not notified until I came to rent a U-Haul and move out. There was damage to a mounted deer head, handmade dream catcher, and not to mention everything from cloth furniture to clothes and other items had to be cleaned which endured a cost because of rodent feces and urine. The only solution we were given was be reimbursed 1 month's rental fees. You can be assured that did not cover the cost of the loss of the mounted deer head much less the cost to clean and wash all the furniture, clothes and etc. I was very disappointed at the handling of a situation that another tenant created, but we had to pay the price for.Brandelyn L. | Overall Experience

Only one person at shop, the computer did not work properly, I returned the truck early and had to wait for person to return from lunch, there was no sign posted for time. When he came back I was not given any choice on how to pay, nor was I given any amount of how much my bill was, nor a receipt. Bad way for any business to be run, especially one of ur size and reputation. If ur company is like this, I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN. Forest DouglasForest D.

I reserved a 15' truck recently and decided to use the 24/7 process to ensure the seamless checkout service that was encouraged with your online process. On pickup day, I arrived at the location at my scheduled time (9am) and opened the app to check-in. Needless to say, the app told me â€œLooks like a piece of equipment has not been assigned for this reservation.â€ and that I would have to check with the on-site operator. At this point there were 2 customers inside already and by the time they finished it was an hour after my pickup time (10am). I was very frustrated because I already hired 2 guys for 3 hours each at $20/hr each to help me move my furniture . Now I've just lost an hour and I had to pay each of these guys for a wasted hour. The part that was most disappointing was the inefficient computer system along with poor human communication between service desk and operators. There were at least 4-6 different transactions with person to person communication problems while I was sitting there. Just unbelievable. U-Haul must address this quickly in order to maintain a moderate reputation at the least. At this point, I will not use your services until drastic changes have been made. Lastly, the gentleman who was dealing with all of there problems said he was filling in for the regular person but I must say that none these issues were his fault. In fact, he was calm and trying his best to make light of the dreadful situation. My experience was indeed horrible and left a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately. Regrettably, JPJuan P.

HORRIBLE Customer service at time of move-out. I spoke with the facility Manager in person on Sat 8/28 regarding anticipated move-out as hurricane Ida was scheduled to make landfall that evening. I was told that I had a 5 day grace period to evacuate the unit. I call the facility AND the corporate customer service line on Mon 8/30. I was reassured by the site manager and by the corporate customer service agent of the 5 day grace period. When I went to evacuate the unit, I was told by the manager that he had been mistaken regarding the 5 days and that he couldn't move me out with a 'balance due'. I called the corporate customer service line again after leaving the facility. After being given the run-around and a bogus CORPORATE phone number, I was placed on hold for over an hour and finally hung up on. For future storage needs, I will DEFINITELY take my business elsewhere and encourage all of my family, friends, and colleagues to do the same. 😞Shyoki M. | Overall Experience

I made a reservation several days in advance. I check my reservation about 30 Pryor to pick up. Got to pick up location at the schedule time. The could not find my reservation and then I got a call that my pick up locations had changed. This put me close to an hour behind schedule.James L.

Just a general comment on the trucks themselves. They are absolutely awful. No cruise control, no power locks, windows or anything. The noise inside the cabin while driving was atrocious. The truck felt like it had no power at all. It is insane that y'all charge so much for such a basic truck.Matthew R.
