The truck was given to us dirty and my boyfriend put his phone down in the center console and put it into a little thing of salsa. When we tried to leave, We got there at 10;30am to get the uhaul and we did not leave the site until 11:30am, we sat behind the gate for 20 minutes waiting for someone to open it for us, we called the front desk, then a homeless man came and opened it for us and we told the front desk never mind someone did your job for you. When we returned the truck, the lady at the front desk, was trying to charge us a late fee and a cleaning fee and tried to say we cracked the dash board, when the truck was given to us like that. We did not bring it from a different lot or bring it to a different lot. It was from the same place. They did not check this truck before we picked it up. This is probably the worst uhaul I have ever gone too.Mckenna J.

The return went fine. Irma contacted us early via text about setting up a return time. Unfortunately she was also give incorrect information about my return date so I clarified everything with her. She had to reschedule another reservation due to this issue. Uhaul need to better manage which trucks are at each location and they need to put regulations in place to keep the trucks clean/well maintained.DANIEL H.

It was more of a storage facitlity than a Uhaul facility. There was little to no Uhaul signage and very little inventory. They happened to be under staffed the day we returned the trailer. The employee who helped us was very nice.LARRY B.

The system changed the location without telling us. We had a reservation in Susanville, Ca and we had to pick up the truck in Sparks, Nv. No warning, no phone call, no email. The overall company sucks. The only accommodating person was in Sparks and she set everything up for an after hours pickupMichelle H.

No drop box for key. Went to a neighborhood Uhaul and they were great. Offered and took key for the truck to return to other locale. Finally got hold of original drop off personnel, whom was not friendly, and annoyed at my process. Threatened a service charge to which I mentioned there was no drop box, Only reply was have a nice day and hung up on me. Very sad ending to what had been a dynamic move.KRIS ABBOTT H.

Both pick up and drop off where not at 9am when scheduled. Employee was late 10 minutes for pick up and 15 minutes for drop off. Should not be setting times you can't keep. Time is money for people and I had to wasted time because the employee didn't understand that open at 9am doesn't mean you show up at 9:10Christopher L.
The lady at the front, when the rental was returned, was short with us and more concerned where my truck was parked rather than helping me. I told her the dolly i paid for wasn't in the truck nor given to me and she said she would take care of it. She didn't. The rental was okay- the paint was coming off the side and looked like there was some damage to it and the seats had crumbs on them.Amanda S.

The truck was sent out with below standard rear dually tires. I had one blowout due to no tire tread. Once I pulled over after the blowout I looked at the other rear passenger side tire and it was as slick as a bowling ball. I took pictures and sent to the roadside help line and they were excellent in getting both tires replaced. Once I got the 2 new tires on the rear passenger side I was on my way but then 3 miles up the road the engine lost power and had to pull into a rest stop that was close by. I noticed that the blowout caused more damaged to the tailpipe. The lose rubber had bent the tailpipe so bad that it restricted the exhaust and truck couldn't run. The bottom line is I got home about 6 hrs later than should of. The location I picked up the truck didn't check tires and I was sent out on the road with a potential very dangerous situation. I have contacted u haul and they told me a district Mgr named Beau Hensley would be contacting and a week or more and no contact from u haul. I wanted less charges to my bill because I shouldn't be paying for a experience that was way less than promised by u haul. I understand that things happen but this was total negligence on u hauls program and no one should be put in jeopardy as I was.JERRY WAYNE H.

You charged me for gas I didn't use... Before returning the truck I stopped at a gas station and replaced what I'd used..I have a witness to this as well as a receipt. .. Yet when I got my email receipt from you $18.52 was added to the bill for the cost of five gallons of gas... Why do you have to rip people off to make a profit? You can be sure I won't be using this UHaul provider again....Kenneth W.

I would recommend this location during the week. We booked a uHaul truck for 8 hours starting at 11 am on Sunday, 1/17. When picking up the truck we were notified we had to return the truck by 3:30 pm or pay for another day. Please ensure the uHaul website coordinates with private companies (security storage) to ensure client satisfaction. Due to the rush, this experience was 5/10.Megan S.

I just want to say I got magnificent service from security public storage . I was treated very poorly by U Haul truck rental manager at the Oddie/ Silverado truck rental. I am very hard of hearing and had to have Lynda Hernasus repeatedly repeat herself. I needed a truck for at least 24 hours/48 hours. She would only rent it for 8 hours at $29.95 plus mileage. Then it was she refused service all together. I was moving my 80 year old mother and only had 48 hours to have her moved and she had 16 years of stuff to move... I have never been treated so poorly by a manager, I will never return there on Oddie Blvd U haul and I will make sure all my friends and people I know how badly I was treated....ANDREW T.

The cashier overcharged me and didn't send a receipt, when I called she said she couldn't find a receipt though I was charged $78 for a two hour rental of a 10' truck, which they say starts at $19.95 but have many hidden fees. Extremely poor service and not easy to ask for corrections with payment, they have you call 1-800 U-Haul and she hung up on me after I asked for a manager. Worst service I've ever experienced. Even if you don't click the $14.00 Safety Insurance they added it anyway. After the call she sent me a receipt which charged didn't match or specify where they charged me but came out to over $70.Amelia G.

Mobile check in is a joke. Two people can't have the same phone number. So I had to go inside anyways. The lady had no clue what to do for mobile check in. The process is ridiculous. There is no gate code given. Locked inside the facility trying to leave with the truck and the intercom doesn't work. Had to walk in and as for gate open a sevond time!! Is that how your all your workers are trained?! Every experience with Uhaul is a headache.Robert F.

Outstanding. Original u-haul facility called me 24 hrs prior to rental stating they did not have my truck and directed me to the El Rancho Facility who were excellent during this covid virius. I would have appreciated the ability to download a copy of my drivers license prior to arriving at facility. Everything else great and will use them again.Gerald S.

They never got out of there chair it was confusing at best then they charged me an extra $25 for a empty box that was left in the truck. First my moving date was changed then no hand truck and now I am Charged for a box?? Terrible.Kenneth M.

I do not feel the $25 fee that I was charged for cleaning was fair there was nothing wrong with the truck nor was it dirty I feel this should of been checked in front of me not after the fact when i left otherwise i would have disputed the charge because there was nothing wrong. The truck we rented had not been cleaned between use. There was pet hair and food crumbs. Did not appear to have been sanitized, which is pretty important right now, per this pandemic, between customers on all common touch points, seats, and interior surfaces. I think the back should be sanitized as well. Overall the staff helped us get the truck and return it through the window and they were nice. thank youNicole S.

My reservation was changed 3 times including the location. When I arrived the truck and equipment were not ready and I took over an hour for the attendant to find a dolly. I was then told they couldn't locate the rest of the equipment that I had requested. When I came to return the truck, the location was closed.
