I was told by the employee, Bob at Seattle Vault Self Storage that I could return the truck I rented back to that location anytime before they opened the following morning. When I went to the “Return my Truck Rental” section of the Uhaul app to check the truck back in, the app said it could detect my location and did not let me continue. I made sure my Location was set to “on” in my phone settings, but it still couldn’t find my location. I tried to contact Uhaul by phone but was unable to reach a customer service representative. I put the keys in the Dropbox and called “Seattle Vault Self Storage the next morning right when they opened. The woman I spoke with to help me with my concern was rude and said there was nothing she could do in regards to the $20 fee that I shouldn’t have had to pay. It was a horrible experience and I will definitely be writing a bad review and letting my friends and family who are moving to go elsewhere rather than Uhaul because of it.

I was charged a late fee even though I returned way before 6pm and gave the keys to Bob; he said he'll take care of it. I received a bill in email only the next morning with an extra late fee on it. Yeah, you took care of it Bob real nice.

The Van we rented was horrible in smell. It had a dog living in it. there was Dog urine in it as well as dog waste on the back bumper. When we got into the VAN its windows were down which was an obvious way to try and get rid of the smell. My son had an allergic reaction due to the fact that he has do hair allergies. We only needed the van to pick up a glass table so we forged ahead due to our commitment time frame. When we brought the van back I went to the counter and told the guy who rented it to us that he did not properly inspect or clean before he sent it out again. He commented sorry I knew it smelled and tried to spray some air freshener and open the windows. He then said I think the last guy who rented it was living in it. I found his acknowledgment of the situation and then shrugging shoulders saying sorry was not adequate. Poor poor poor overall experience. The single staff member was slow, rude and clearly frustrated. Unable or unwilling to help. The app experience was garbage. The requirement to call a third party for a rental is terrible. Verification should have been completed well in advance of vehicle pickup. Terrible experience!

The lock box code disappeared before I could memorize it. Please make this accessible in the app! I had to call customer service and they did not believe me when I told them the key drop required a code and told me to leave the keys in the glove box instead.

It took 20 minutes to check me in because of a computer error or something. Then as I was lead to the truck the guy said oh this is the weird one. The key doesn't lock the driver side door. Well I was his first rental of the day, so I get the "weird" truck. Then the mirror didn't stay locked in place, so I had to unroll the window and readjust the mirror about 10 times during the trip. I was never shown the contract and didn't sign anything.

The location was absolutely fine- however, Uhaul did not give a great experience. Due to continuous issues with the Uhaul website and service, I had a difficult time moving. I have been charged a lot more for services I did not receive from Uhaul. As a customer- this location again was great. Uhaul itself needs to refine their system. I am pretty dissatisfied with this recent experience.

I had a horrible experience with UHaul and this being my first experience it made it worse. Firstly, it took the executive more than an hour to allocate the truck and dispatch it for me. There were some technical issues and I had to just WAIT. Second, while returning the truck after hours, I hoped the process would be pretty simple enough, but it was not. It again took me more than an hour of wait before I could finish my return procedure. The key drop box at the location had a code to it which they did not tell me, neither did the online customer service know about it. They just kept routing me from one department to another and it was overall a very bad experience!

That is not a problem about location but your system. Your online check in did not allow me to pick up the key. This is a serious flow. you did not put dolly we ordered in the truck either. there is a lot of area you need to improve.

I think the system that the attendant uses needs to be updated. He was struggling with several bugs in the system that either wouldn't let him proceed with the checkout, or forced him to restart the process several times. This caused a delay of 30 minutes and caused a backup for other customers waiting in line. He still acted professionally and made sure that we had everything we needed. Other than that, the truck was ready to go in the size that I had requested and everything else went smoothly.

The employee of this place who helped us (unfortunately I do not recall his name but he works on Wednesday’s from 2 PM onward) really made the experience smooth, less stressful, and wonderful. He was extremely nice and professional and helped out as much as he could. My friend and I highly recommend working with him and thank him for all that he did.

1. Truck needed maintenance. 2. I was not able to complete the move because I needed an extra two hours and the office had scheduled someone to rent my truck at the exact minute I was scheduled to return. So, had to leave the storage facility early without being able to finish.

I arrived to pick up my Uhaul and was told they were over booked and I could not pick it up. I made a reservation so this happening was ridiculous. After about an hour of trying to find another location with an available Uhaul, a customer finally arrived with a Uhaul I could use. The man working at Seattle Vault Self Storage is a nice old man but incompetent.

I purchased over $200 worth boxes for my moving. I returned 3 large box, 3 medium box, 5 mirror box,. 1 plastic wrap, and 1 packing paper for full refunds on 6/30/2019 at interbay location in Seattle, WA. They could not complete my return process due to their system error and asked me to come back on 7/1/2019. I left all my unused boxes/equipment on site. When I returned to the location, the male employee told me his boss took care of the issue already and I should see my refunds within 4 business days. I haven’t seen my refunds yet as of 7/11/2019. Please take care of my issue as soon as possible. Your immediate attention will be much appreciated. Thank you so much.

I ordered a queen-size mattress bag online via the Uhaul website for in-store pickup at this location. The email told me that it would be there waiting for me when I picked up the van. When I arrived, I was told that they didn't carry Uhaul products. They said I could buy one of their own branded mattress bags, but then told me that they were out of the queen and king size. They said I was not charged, but I was. Also, now my mattress got wrecked since I had to move it without a cover.

The check-in process and the vehicle were good, but the absolute rudeness and lack of professionalism from the person checking in the vehicle on Saturday afternoon was beyond anything I have experienced in recent memory.

I was charged for extra fuel in error. I photographed the fuel gauge and mileage ahead of time and have not heard back from them regarding this erroneous charge. The vehicle itself ran fine and the afternoon attendant was nice.

I originally ordered a 10' box truck online. I called the company a day later to add another driver to my order, I was told that my order had not been processed because there was something wrong with the website. There were two options left, a 9' van and a 15' box truck, I asked to confirm the box truck and had been adamant that we get the large truck. After getting off the phone I received a confirmation email stating I had a 9' van for the following day. I called back, twice with no answer. I left a message and replied to the email asking for a box truck and not the van. The following day I called back when the company opened to ensure that we receive a box truck and not a van. I was told that the large box truck had been booked and that the van was only available. After being on the phone with the lady she told me that their repairman came and fixed the 10' box truck and that it was available for us to use that day. I was confused because she initially told me that their website crashed and that's why we didn't get the 10' box truck to begin with. I got a very large run around on the phone and it was not a pleasant experience. All in all, it very much sounded like the lady that I spoke with didn't know what she was doing. My company has used this Uhaul location many times in the past, we will be renting from a different site for now on.

First: we were told the furniture dolly we reserved was stolen, so we were given a really cheap wooden one instead. It performed very poorly. Still, we were charged as if we’d gotten the one we reserved on the U-Haul website. Second: we ended up running very late and were not able to return the truck on time. While we appreciate this interferes with other reservations, the behavior of the man working at U-Haul was unacceptable. He called us, very angrily asked where the truck was, and (yelling) demanded we return it immediately. As it was our fault we were late, we apologized and told him we were happy to pay the penalty of an additional day’s rental. He then yelled that the penalty would not be just an additional day, but that we’d have to pay for the entire reservation following ours, that we were interfering with. When we explained that the U-Haul website said otherwise, he hung up. As we were not given the code for the parking lot’s gate, we returned the truck first thing the following morning. The woman we returned the truck to was very friendly and very understanding of our tardiness. We happily paid for the extra day’s rental (the woman never mentioned anything about having to pay for someone else’s reservation). I really hope other customers never have to encounter the man we spoke to the day before; he was unreasonable, pugnacious, and (evidently) lied about U-Haul’s penalties to scare us into returning the truck sooner (as if we were choosing to be late in the first place). With so many other moving options available these days, I’ll be sure to recommend my friends in Seattle avoid this U-Haul at all costs.

I was overcharged for miles. 10 miles were on the receipt, but I drove for to 3 miles max. Not a huge deal, I guess, but makes a difference for lower income folks like myself. I responded to the store's email twice regarding this issue and got no response.
