Dirty truck, no fuel, brakes squeak, nice clerk

The F150 truck was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in some time. Also, the truck was returned with more gas than when I picked it up. The contract agreement said the truck had half a tank, but it was slightly less than half when I picked it up. I put 3.5 gallons of gas in it after driving roughly 15 miles, which left the vehicle with more fuel. When I got my receipt, I was charged $13 for two gallons of gas, which was ridiculous. $13 isn't going to break the bank, but it was disappointing treatment.

The availability is very convenient; however, the costs are really deceiving... I thought I was getting a $40 rental for a half day, but walked out with a pending charge of $119. I was confused because I was given the Uhaul with an empty tank, I had to put gas in the tank, AND paid for gas through Uhaul (extra unexpected cost I paid above), was supposed to get reimbursed some of the gas cost, and still walked away once it was all said and done paying $109 (with the "refund"). I couldn't back out because I was relying on the use of the Uhaul, so I had to pay the cost. I had even reserved the 10 foot Uhaul online in advance, a somewhat lengthy process, and then ended up giving the same information again once I got to the pick up place. Seemed kind of pointless. All in all, an interesting and somewhat expensive experience.

Tried many times to check in before pickup date. Website refused to allow upload of drivers license photos. While waiting to get me trailer, two others told of the same problem. Also was unable to upload photos of trailer condition. Agent told me that was a common problem and told me to just keep the photos in case of a dispute.

Your website needs an overhaul. If your customer is expected to inspect the vehicle on behalf of Uhaul and then submit pictures, tools required should work first time, every time. This was not the case. Attempts were made at 1130pm to drop off the vehicle, then again at 9am with the website refusing to accept pictures either occasion. When asked for help from the in-store customer service representative, there "was a 800 number by the key dropbox" and refused assistance past that point. Obviously this isn't the first time they've had to deal with a frustrated customer. Figure it out!

Have the trucks ready to rent. They wanted to give me a truck that was out of gas. Then the engine light came on and was told "that happens sometimes " "as long as the brakes work don't call us" I will go back to Buget rentals

The gas tank was below empty when I picked up vehicle even though the paperwork started that the tank was at 1/4. The dolly was not secured by previous renters so kept slamming into back of cab. These vehicles should be checked before you rent them out.

I'm good with technology, but I signed up on the computer but needed to access everything from my phone once I got there. I needed to go back and get my computer. There were also some glitches in the website. Check in took way to long because of these and other issues. Checking out was easy enough after hours.

Gas tank should be full when vehicle is picked up and customers should refill tank before returning. That way, customers are paying for the gas they actually used and not trying to guess how much gas they should buy to make up for what they used.

You should really strive to be much more customer service oriented. I found the employee disinterested, uncaring, unapologetic, and most definitely not wanting to provide customer service. Despite my calling several days ahead, I was unable to rent the smallest van that would have been more than sufficient for my needs and was forced to rent a larger and more expensive moving truck. Either that or I could drive to another city, approximately 20 miles away to pick up and drop off the desired van. In addition, when I rented the larger truck, I was told that it only had a quarter tank of gas and I would only be able to travel 70 miles at most. That necessitated an extra stop to gas up. At a minimum you should send every vehicle out with a full tank which would make refills easier and save customer's time when returning truck. For these reasons, this was among the worst customer experiences that I've ever encountered.

Worst experience I have ever had with UHaul. The online check in was horrible. I have used it before and it was very annoying but I thought I would try it again. It took over an hour and a half to get the truck and I don't think it actually completed correctly. First, I was over an hour from my estimated check in time. I am sure that there had been a warning that this would cause a problem. But when I tried to check in two hours later it never told me that the issue was because I was trying to check in outside of the time. Instead I spent 25 minutes trying to get the system to work. Then a really great customer service person helped. But we still spent another hour getting the self check in to work! The pictures would not take, the app kept closing, there was no on-site staff. If I ever use UHaul again I will never use a self check in site or process. That was so very horrible and upsetting. I can't express enough how angry I was during this process.

The location was fine - but the mobile pick up and drop off was very difficult. The wifi was spotty - and the location service didn't work - even though it was enabled on my phone. I found it cumbersome and time consuming. I won't use this service again. The truck only had a quarter of a tank of gas in it when I picked it up.

My drop off time was set at 9am, the personnel at the drop off location don't come in till 10am. I was caught off guard by the drop box procedure. If my pickup location would have given me drop box education I could have had a smoother experience. I still had a fine experience and I am not mad about anything. Just giving feedback on what would have made it perfect.

The sign on the door stated their hours were closed Tues and Wednesday so we came home and called them. When we asked if they were open the very grumpy and rude man said "well I answered the phone, didnt i? when we told him there was a sign stating they were closed he said there was no sign. We have a picture of the sign, yes there was. He was very rude and acted like our business didn't matter.

When I got to the location it was not easy to know how I had to talk to on reserving a truck. Because it shared the same building with a appliance sales shop. No sings to tell you . And the person checking me in and taking my information was no friendly. It seem to me she had lack of staffing and overwhelmed. Also the after hrs drop location is in a dead zone for cell service. So trying to go through the steps to do a drop off after hrs is really hard to do. Would not recommend I have Been renting uhauls tucks and trailers all over American for over 20 years. Definitely need to work on the disorganized sing placement key drop placement and front desk check in entry. Gracias
