The equipment was in good mechanical condition, drove well, and served us well with no issues mechanical at all. The average rate comes from the cleanliness of the truck when I picked it up. I read that with the Covid-19 the equipment was being sanitized between users and that is hard to believe. There was drinking straw wrappers and dust and grime in the cab and it smelled like someone drove cross-country chain smoking green cigars. I had to go to a wash to clean enough bugs off the windshield to see to drive. It was not what I would consider, rent-ready.ROBERT M.

Uhaul changed our truck reservation from a 20' to a 26' truck without our knowledge. Caused quiet a bit of turmoil and delayed our move. still waiting on a call back to discuss the rate. My rate was not adjusted on location.David G.

Showed store opened at 6:00am online. I schedule for 6:30. Store didn't open until 7:00. Took 30-40 minutes to get everything finalized once they opened, despite checking in online days before. Did not have 1/2 the things we added to our order: moving blankets & a second furniture dolly. I made reservation 3 days before. During that time no store or uhaul rep contacted us about order variances. (Time/Equipment) Not sure if this is a uhaul or store issue, but it's poor business!Jason C.

The front chain did not have a clip to hook to the front of the vehicle so luckily we already had tow straps with us that we had to use to secure the vehicle being towed. Other than that the trip was good.Amanda G.

I was charged for insurance when I know for sure I unchecked the box to accept the insurance when I placed the order online. Also charging $1.09 per mile is unbelievably expensive. A $19.99 rental costs me $50+ plus gas. NEVER AGAIN!Ashley H.

The guy who rented the U-haul to us did not write down the correct beginning mileage. This was not our fault but the guy who handled the return seemed to be angry with us. He was SCREAMING at us when my spouse disagreed with him about the mileage we would be charged with. My spouse told him to stop hollering at us. The guy said he just talked loud. I gently explained to the worker that he was being loud and that we had had a very rough day, and asked if he could be a bit quieter. He toned his voice down a LITTLE bit for us. When my spouse walked away he mentioned to me about how rude my spouse was. THEY NERVE!!! We were the customer. I was kind and told him thanks and again that we had had a rough day. I am guessing this guy was the boss because of his attitude and the staff stayed clear away from him. My spouse told me he complained to one of the outside workers but I was just ready to leave and not ask for anyone higher up.Kim G.

Truck wasn't as clean as promised, finding a used and unsanitary baby's diaper under the passenger seat. Expected a fuel tank of gas instead of a fourth. Insurance fee should have been refunded once truck was returned. Truck was not well maintained as it was very difficult to shift to reverse. Dolly should be included with truck and not cost extra. Dolly's design made it hard to move certain items.Rachel D.

I rented a uhaul truck and car transport. While loading car my friend helping me hurt his hand on uhaul faulty equipment. I took my car to Lafayette and thought I could return uhaul eguipment to any uhaul place so I returned the car transport in Lafayette and when I got back to Morgan city 100 away they called me and said I had to pay an additional $150 to uhaul. So being that I done drove to Lafayette then back I couldn't drive all the way back to get trailer the all the way back at 79 vents a mile. This is not right I don't think I'm ever use uhaul and tell everyone how y'all do uncalled for chargesfonzie W.

I was lied to three times about the time and location I could pick up from, 1st time 9/27 @ 8:00am in Baton R00ouge,LA, then 2nd time 9/27 9:00am in New Orleans, LA, 3rd time 9/27 @ 1:00pm in Gonzalez,LA. Each time my reservation was confirmed, 15 to 30 min later it was cancelled by Uhaul for no truck availability and resulted in me paying truck packers show up pay without a truck to load. Eventually on 9/27 @ 6:30pm l was reserved a truck that I had to drive 79 miles to go pick up in Bayou Vista,LA, needless to say it was to late to load so I had to wait until the next morning and pay additional loaders to load. I feel that Reservations/Scheduling was very dis-organized and Uhaul should not make commitment they xan not keep especially when the customers are put in a harsher financial situation as I was. This was the 3rd time I had rented from Uhaul in as many months, but by far it was the worst, I'm not comfortable with Uhaul after this last experience.Carolyn S.
