Vickie BHole was drilled into our gas tank prior to pick up. Picked up vehicle with 1/4 tank left and didn’t notice the hole until I had filled up the gas tank and $53 worth of gasoline dripped out of the truck for two hours. I contacted Uhaul to be ignored for 3 hours and when the roadside assistance tech came to help, he did absolutely nothing besides look at our gas tank, say “good luck” and drive away. It then took 2 more hours for me to get into contact with Uhaul and force them to give us a replacement from a 24/7 location. We were then given the wrong vehicle and Uhaul was non-responsive for two hours. We finally got in contact with the owner of the facility and he was able to replace our vehicle and we unloaded and reloaded into our replacement truck(at 7:30 at night). Our move was supposed to begin at 12:00 and due to the overall negligence we lost a full day of travel, $200 in travel, and so much time dealing with anxiety and embarrassment while having to clean up spilled gasoline and hopelessly wait stranded while Uhaul provided no help. Our day ended at 2:30 the next morning while my husband had to report to his base at 5:00. I am overwhelmingly disappointed in all of the customer service that I experienced (or lack there of) and I am now concerned as to what to do for our second half of our military move in two months from Las Vegas to Prattville Alabama. I rely on this company to provide me with the ability to move my family and I through military moves but this experience has costed us $200 in groceries that were ruined, $53 in gasoline that was spilled throughout the gas station, and $400+ in reservations that didn’t even provide the move in a timely manner as planned. I really hope to find a solution for this horrible experience that we received because it truly has caused such a disruption and added so much unnecessary stress to our already stressful move. We understand that accidents happen but none of what we experienced during that time was professional.

Mary BMake sure that the trucks are checked before giving it to the customer. Fuses were blown and the trailer lights would not come on once connected. We had to go to another Uhaul to get assistance and I think his name is Al on 19 1/2 location in Lemoore -- he helped us to troubleshoot what was wrong with the truck and we finally got on our way after a 3 & 1/2 hour delay which changed our plans considerably.

Linda YI am not happy with your customer service! I had a trailer reserved here in Visalia just down the street from my home. Christine called me and told me the uhaul I had reserved was not going to be available, but I could get a utility trailer. I was not happy that they rented the trailer I had reserved. I spoke with three different women and not one was any help at all! The first time I was told, ok the trailer will be available for you after all. The second call the person told me she would put in for a transfer to get a trailer here from Bakersfield. When I called back the next day, the woman said there was no note saying there was a transfer in the works from Bakersfield. Your customer service reps are rude, did nothing to help, canceled my trailer and I had to drive 30 minutes to pick up and trailer and then had to take it back to that site. Needless to say, i am very dissatisfied with your company. The gentleman in Corcoran was very nice and said you guys do that a lot to people. Not good customer service!!!

Debbie KWhen I first contacted Customer Service over the phone I absolutely was not impressed with the Lady I spoke with while setting up a Reservation for the following Morning. She was not very pleasant, in fact she was very Short and Curt and didn't offer much information and she seemed to become more annoyed as I asked more questions. However when I arrived to pick up the rental truck I was greeted nicely by a person that sent me to the gentleman who would be assisting me. In this Office I met 2 men, one that actually did the paperwork and another who I conversed with also while the man stepped out to get my copy of the contract and my change. When I left I felt very good about the service and Friendliness all the way around. I was told before I left to call Customer Service the next day to find out what location I would be returning the truck to. Again my experience was not a very good one talking to customer service. Upon arrival to return the rental I was greeted by a counter man who was very nice, took care of my return and had me on my way. I told him before I left that their customer service needed some real improvement and I explained alittle more about what happened. He apologized to me and said I was not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th person to comment on this subject but that there had been many complaints. This is very sad as it can give the whole Company a Bad Reputation.
