The reservation was given to a different party and then I was billed. When UHaul was contacted, they offered to cancel the original and make a new reservation at a location 20 miles away without compensating for additional cost -- increasing the cost of the reservation by approximately $40. After the reservation was cancelled and I went with a different company, I still received invoices on the fraudulent transaction.

For one I was never told that there would be a charge for after hours drop off crap. Two the web site said that it was one that was a 24 hr return deal. Three the rental was not on full it was in between the full and 3/4 mark. I had my friend Brandon in the truck with me and he will verify that. Four, if you think that cheating people is cool, it is not and I will be mentioning 2800 Stone Circle Dr. Troy, Ohio location to the better business bureau to be investigated as such. I get that you guys have to run a business but there is not excuse to be that much of a condescending butt face wambat jerk just to get money out of people. If you were honest about everything, and actually talked to people and not be butt faces they might be nice and actually understand and be cordial with you and understand the prices. No need to hide something unless you have something to hide and don't want anyone to see what you are doing.

Kind, helpful, looked out for my unique needs/interests. My husband came down with COVID 2 days before our move and I needed to drive a 26 ft truck from OH to TN to complete our move. I was nervous and extra stressed, and Samps reassured me, gave me some guidance, had extra blankets on the spur of the moment when we ran out, and made at least one part of our move less stressful!

I rented a truck for a day and returned it in less than 24 hours. Due to a "misunderstanding", I was charged for 2 days rental and 2 days insurance (an extra $30 total). I notified the SAMPs employee of this, who agreed that it was a mistake and said that my card would be credited the over-payment. Instead, I was debited an additional $44 by accident! This second mistake was finally corrected two days later, but I have still not been credited with the over-payment of $30. The SAMPs employee (Jake) said I would be contacted by his U-Haul contact (Christian) to fix this but have never been contacted. I have continued to leave messages with Jake as well, who has also failed to have any additional contact with me. Even though the SAMPs employee agreed that it was an error and should be repaid, I feel like they finally decided to just ignore me and hope that I go away. As of this writing, it has been two weeks since renting the truck, and I haven't been able to make contact with anyone for the past week. So, buyer beware. If they still want to make this right, my name is Craig Mote. If they make this right, I'll amend my review. So, if you're reading this, it means they still haven't made it right.

Inform customers that the pick-up truck doesn't have a ball hitch in the receiver so they know they need one. We got all the way to piqua and went to hook up a trailer and there was no ball in the hitch

I would not recommend your after hours pick up using the app. It's not dependable, forced me to take insurance, didn't have the original registration. My truck was dirty, had the previous persons belongings in it. The app kept dropping when I was trying to do the return. Due to the pick up issues by the time I got to where I needed to be 2 hours late, the job was given to someone else because I couldn't get the truck. This is the first bad experience Ive had . Been using U-Haul for many years

I'm finicky. I don't like my stuff touching anything, other than clean surfaces. The truck was freshly washed. I had to move my reservation. Jake was more than accommodating and very professional. The lot was new, and extremely clean. Very organized. We are repeat customers here for many reasons. This customer experience was (see above) 5 Stars

The truck was great. The fact that I had to do everything through an app was really frustrating. There were several customers returning vehicles at the same time and you would think it would not be too hard to have a human being there to process rentals and returns. The app is especially frustrating. Examples: having to be on site to take and return truck. Repetitive questions like “what is the odometer reading? (Enters odometer reading). Now take a picture of it. Did you return the truck clean? (Responds yes). Take two pictures of it.
