Requested an appliance dolly wasn't told till pick up one was not available. Passenger side mirror busted to where use was extremely limited. Got charged an additional $14 for insurance and another full day because I brought truck back 2.5hrs later than said due to 2 wrecks on Interstate 81 that day! I have used U-haul for years I PROMISE I will NEVER use again!!! Workers were at least nice!

When I notified the agent of my problems; all I received where horror stories of other customer that had worse problems; and there were many. There was no "I'm sorry", no "I'll make sure that's fixed" nothing. U-haul is convenient for me and I'll be renting again from someone in the next 6 months - I'm not sure it will be U-haul.

When a customer rents the vehicle the rent mgr SHOULD walk out to ensure himself AND the customer that THE FUCKIN GAS GAUGE IS ON FULL!!! I got in truk, gas gauge was on 7/16ths of a tank...When I turned it in I had refilled to 7/16ths of a tank. Woke up this morning to find out that drop off location had CAPPED tank off and I was charged for it!!!! The fukin gas in truk wasnt full when I got it!!!!! Ive put STOP PAYMENT to uhaul pending a responce and a adjustment of bill. Also the truk had been cleaned after my use and THAT was added to my bill.....im not disputing the mileage at all but Ill be DAMNED if Im paying for something I DID NOT USE!!!! PAYMENTS ON HOLD!!!! U-HAUL GET ON TOP OF THIS NOW!!!! I AM NOT PAYING FOR THAT FUEL I DID NOT USE!!!!!! TRACY MARTIN for CHARLTON MARTIN

Very good service. but your app was terrible for reporting differences. It said 'add picture' I select camera, take a picture, but then it wouldnt upload, so I had to take a picture outside the app, and then select a file in the app. and then it would restart and I would have to fill in the information again!! Using a newer Android phone by Moto Z4.

Everything that could be over charged was very unhappy was charged twice and added 20 miles on top of that guessing someone before me lied about the mileage because they didn’t check just asked now I’m out money that was advertised differently and I have to wait days for a refund or if I will even get one done with U-Haul what a scam

I said yes to the question of whether it was clean and well-maintained, generally it was, but the back was definitely not swept out. Picking up was ok. The guy who was there when I dropped off seemed not to be trained.

Had to go to 3 uhaul before I could drop truck. Guy at 1st location in salem va no help at all. Guy at 2nd location made a call and finally got me where I needed to go. Long day!!

Was charged a fuel charge after putting gas in truck..this is shady...wont rent again..customer service was great but extra charges leaves a bad tase in your mouth...

Have paper forms available to rent equipment in the case of a system wide failure so vehicles could be used. Spend more time training the rental locations on how to use and connect equipment. The videos are nice but not enough. Empower point of contact personnel and customer service reps to make decisions instead of saying "I don't have the power to do that." Keep supervisors present to "make those decisions" instead of hoping customer concerns will go away and be forgotten.

My initial pick-up location was 2902 Hershberger Rd in Roanoke, VA and this was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences. To start, my truck was supposed to be ready at 10:30 am, and once we arrived we were told that they did not have the truck and that the customer who was supposed to drop it off in-time for my use hadn’t done so. In my head I am thinking, “Ok, that’s not my problem.” The uHaul worker who assisted my family was unable to problem solve, and uncaringly stated that, “sometimes this just happens and the only thing I can do is call the customer, but he isn’t answering the phone.” I preceded to ask the UHaul worker, “so what are we going to do to resolve this issue?” The young man working did not seem to know or really care how to help me. He stated that I could come back when he thinks the next size 15’ truck would be in. I then received a text stating that the truck would be ready at 1 pm. In the interim, I called the customer service line to see if I could get a discount and also, to find a new 15’ truck, and the person I had the “pleasure of speaking with” said that is something they have to fix in-store and they could not do that over the phone. We left and came back at 1pm and were told that they still did not have the truck. At this point, I am frustrated, because I am on a timed schedule and everything has been pushed back on my end. When my brother preceded to ask for a discount the uhaul worker laughed and stated, “you want a discount but you aren’t even driving the truck.” This was very upsetting. Yes, we were asking for a discount for the time loss. We are paying for a service and that service was not rendered. They said they had no managers on duty to even process a discount and they could not do it. I was adamant on not leaving their business until they fixed my issue. Another uhaul worker showed up and looked for another truck in the area, he was slightly more helpful than the other UHaul worker. He found a truck about 30 min away (Salem Mini Mart) and stated the there was a 15’ truck available that we could pick up.” We had to ask for these gentleman (uhaul employees) to do everything we needed of them. They lacked initiative and motive to do their job and failed miserably at providing good quality customer service. I felt as though they really didn’t not care or even try to understand why we were so Frustrated. One of the uhaul employees spent a great deal of time communicating with someone over the computer trying to change our pick-up location from Hershberger to Salem. When we brought up a discount again, they stated we needed to call the customer service line, which we had already done. On our way to the Salem location, we called the customer service line, again. The agent on the phone stated that our location had not been moved to Salem, therefore we had to explain our ENTIRE situation over AGAIN! And make the transfer on our own. Although the dealer was very friendly she did my reservation all wrong. I had a reservation already in the system that she should have used and instead she created a whole new one and had told me that this was what she was told to do. This caused me to wait in store for about an hour and caused issues with the whole reservation.
