The key ignition is EXTREMELY problematic. You have to toggle the ignition at times for a minute or two. Not too important but just in case, The U-Haul truck is extremely aged, the stickers are all sun damaged, the driver's seat is ripped up. And I pay for all these? Does U-HAUL really care? Probably not.. is the truck useful? Sure... Decide from there.
KONSTANTIN H.ignition is broken - u have to pull key out , a bit , to start engine . luckily , the front desk girl @ safety tire was incredible & let me know about the ignition issue , prior to driving . u guys need to fix it immediately , it shouldn't be her problem nor should it be mine . as i understand , ur company is fully aware of the issue but u have not shown up to fix it . this is logged as my formal complaint against your company .
james G.No notice site would be closed on Saturday resulting in online pick up, no notice to me. Had to set up account at time of pick up which took over 40 min to complete. Location did not have good internet connection so pics did not go through, terrible communication, could have set up at home if notified, poor customer service!!!

I'm never using uhaul again and encouraging everyone I know to use penske. I cannot think of a more inferior product that what you offer. I will never use uhaul again. I'm going to go on blogs and leave bad reviews everywhere I can telling everyone about my awful uhaul experience. I'm done with your horrible company.

Ronald S.When I first picked up the vehicle I noted that it was dirty. When I was dropping it off I mentioned that it was not clean enough for another rental and uhaul was going to charge me a cleaning fee-but it was that dirty from the previous rental not because of me. So I had to change my answer I'm not paying for someone else's filth and that location's laziness! And fyi I didn't realize it at the the time of pickup it only occurred to me after driving it but the cab and cargo area smelled like cat urine. The truck was pretty filthy when I picked up and your app only allowed me to add one picture

At the 2nd location I had to execute 2 transactions, one for the dollies and pads and one for rope and stretch wrap. The van tires had low pressure which had to be fixed. The mobile check out is VERY cumbersome time consuming. Poor experience!

Brandon G.Your rental location was great. That said, your online reservation system has a lot to be desired. I make my selection, enter my payment information, receive a confirmation number, and think everything is OK. Good thing I checked my email I little later, because I was notified that the vehicle I need (pickup) wasn't available - and that a U-Haul agent would notify me. How does anyone sell something that they don't have in stock?! Amazing...

David W.At the time I made the reservation, I also used the UHaul website to get help from a moving/relocation firm. I was charged $65.95 for one mover for two hours. The moving firm NEVER contacted me. When I reached out to them and went through the phone system, I was eventually told that they are too busy and to call back later. This occurred twice. The overall hours that UHaul is available on weekends for pickup and dropoff are less than convenient. I was required to shoehorn a full day of moving into a condensed period because UHaul pick-up/drop-off is unavailable outside of a very short time period on weekends.
Scott M.Didn't explain van could use regular or E-85. Gas cap said E-85. Nothing found in paper work. Went to two gas stations that Google said carried it, but the didn't. Called chat line and waited 9 minutes before I hung up Called customer service and waited 21 minutes, then I hung up Returned the van, explaining all the above, and that I didn't refill the tank after driving 30 total miles Customer serv called me back and said the van could use either. Made a note in my account. Didn't hear about rental return by 4pm so I called them. They told me they charged me for the gas. Didn't know anything about my written note I wrote. Said corporate would handle the billing. I'm not happy.

Jonathan B.The van we rented, has major physical damage to passenger door are where hinges are. It does open and close fine. There is painted over horrid bondo job all down along the passenger side of the van, we were told, ots safe and the damage has already been reported. The Uhaul app would not allow me to take a picture. I couldnt even change the mileage or the gas tank reading. I had to accept what the app wanted inorder to rent the van, because we had limited time. The worker was more interested in us getting the keys and leaving then anything. I dont even want to do my drop off at this location.

Angry about new pick up/drop off w/o his involvement or income. He literally flipped the bird at me when he "scratched an itch" with his middle finger(?). Nasty human.

My first rental was handled so efficiently and in such a friendly manner, that it was a no-brainer to go back. Had to rent a large van to transport art - the van was very clean and in good condition. The second rental was equally as pleasant.
