john gThe staff were too busy pumping gas and selling Doritos to give any attention to U-Haul processing. They could not tell me what the rates were, which I discovered is more of a U-Haul problem, and so I was overcharged. They did their best when I was there in person, but were unable to help me when I called ahead for information.
Donovan DTell The Dalles outlet to be honest with customers. They lied, said Rufus didn't have a 4x8 trailer. When in fact they did. Had we not drove by on our way home we wouldn't of known. Your customer service agent was apologetic and got our rental switched to Rufus, saving us about two hours of extra travel on a 250 mile round trip.
nancy hSo I was told to have the truck back by 1045 Monday. I said I work and can drop it off by 445 and she said okay that will be fine. Went to drop my truck off Monday and got multiple charges for being turned in after 1045. Don't know who's at fault, but want the charges refunded.
James HGood assistance. More signage outside so people can see where the drop off box is and where the actual office is located.

Steven KActually teach the employees how to operate the uhaul programs so I, as a customer, don't have to check myself out and use your internal programs. Also would have been nice if they would have installed the trailer for us and checked the lights. They are lucky we knew how to install trailers or your company could have been liable for a huge accident if we wouldn't have installed the trailer right and the lights didn't work right so that's a safety hazard. This location needs a lot of work.

Dustin MWhen I booked the drop off it said it was closed and made me book another day. I should have been able to be refunded for returning the vehicle a day early. I don't believe it was at fault of anyone where I returned the vehicle. That is a corporate issue that should be fixed.

JULIE SThe truck was very dirty inside the cab, and the box had a lot of dirt, and drywall pieces in it. I had to sweep it out before putting items in it. The truck only had 1/8 of a tank of gas in it, and I was credit $31 for that. Location didn't have a furniture dolly, said they noted the contract that should be refunded. Rented a dozen furniture pads, and upon starting to pack the truck found that there were only 10. Called location and left a message with someone, but have not heard back at all. Pick up location was also 30 minutes out of the way, adding an hour drive time just get the truck.

JACQUELINE PI completed my check in online and paid before I got there. I arrived at 830 to pick up my uhaul. I did not get out of the store until 930 or 945. Although the girl who assisted me was very nice, she couldn't get her computer to work and then she couldn't get the printer to work. She spent half the time looking for paper for the printer.

Coleman RNot sure why I had to go operate lights and so forth as a safety check after I was done with it. Plus I was charged 8 extra miles as I had to pick the truck up 20 miles from what I had originally requested this caused me to make a longer trip. I'm thinking I'll go to another agency next time.

Ronnie BI am upset that I had to drive 90+ miles to pick up the uhaul, was told about the extra drive less than 24 hours than the pickup time and I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance. I know it is in the contract but sounds like terrible customer service when nobody could make the situation right other than giving me "two free days" which was useless. And to boot, I was told that if I turn in equipment early, I could get money back or a credit. I'll pay double next time to use Penske unless uhaul can get its crap together and at least pay for the gas it took me to go get the trailer. Can't wait for Amazon to buy out uhaul and actually get customer service/reliability done right.
William SGreat place but different. 2 car tiny town, it's in a gas station. But very cool. Fun characters working there, fun coffee stand, etc. Open long hours EVERYDAY. I think portapotties instead of real bathrooms!?! haha I'll be back in a few days for a different truck, hope my review is well received! :-)
Botielus BSuper nice people but truck was not clean, which doesn't bother me but I did consider whether it may become my responsibility, which ended up not being the case. Also, attendant added insurance to my reservation after I had declined it when reserving (she did not ask me). I asked why the price was different and she said it might have been extra mileage added on. Noticed later it was $54 for insurance. Apparently to fix this requires a dispute to be filed with U-Haul, which I chose not to pursue. Should be obvious based on my reservation that I declined the insurance.
Tary MU-Haul Rufus was very well organized. They told me to book the reservation on line so I did and when I went to pick it up I was in and out in 15 minutes with the U-Haul van.

Michael LMy truck was not available at the Portland, OR location I reserved the truck through so I had to drive 260 miles round trip to pick up the truck. Truck was missing the USB port and the inside deck was dirty with some kind of substance that was sticky. I wanted an appliance dolly, which they had but the attendant could not figure out how to add it to my order. So, I had to make a special trip back in Portland, OR to get one.

DAVID BFirst I could not figure out where to return the truck. We went to the wrong spot and got yelled at because it was not where it should be. The attendant was argumentative and rude, told us we were wrong for not being able to find the place to park. This place should practice some customer service. When I said I couldn't find a sign saying where to park he said "it's right there" and pointed to a 2' by 3' light up sign the said "U-Haul" in the window. A U-Haul sign in the window does not mean park here...
Justin HThe location was easy to access and the staff were very friendly. However, upon review of the paperwork, I requested the removal of the added insurance. I was assured that this was completed and have signed paperwork to that effect, yet my charge card has not been credited. The invoice reflects the rental of a dozen moving blankets that were not placed in the truck and not discovered until I was 30 miles down the road. I have not been credited for this rental fee. I was told that this would be resolved at the truck return location. I was also told that I would be refunded any unused miles.
Larry KI called uhaul 1800 number and had a car dolley rented/reserved in a town closest to my destination for the vehicle I was scheduled to pick up.... I drove 4 hours to the uhaul only to find out they reserved the wrong Dooley, it was an "in town use only" dolley and they had messed up on their current inventory... they sent me 30 miles up the toad to the nearest uhaul where I had to rent another dolley for $217 (Outrageous pricing???) I rented it and went to pick up the vehicle I was scheduled for... But since uhaul caused me to be 1.5 hours late, I ended up losing the contract... so I had to drive another 5 hours back with an empty fillet that I never used... I filed a complaint only to be told "so sorry, but we aren't reimbursing you"... As a uhaul customer for over 10 years, I will never have anything good to say about them or their business after this. I'm out $217.00, 11 hours of driving and a lost contract/day of pay.... All because Uhaul customer care messed up on their end...
Brandon NThe guys there were responsive and worked through a couple of challenges to get us on our way. This location was NOT listed on your website as a choice for a car transport, but were the only location open on Sunday.

monte jMy only concern was the truck itself. Going cross country and pulling a small car on a trailer we found the truck to be very under powered. Had it been a diesel the torque would have made the struggles over the many mountains much easier. Overall it was a good experience.
Michael PNot enough choice in truck sizes. I had reserved an appliance dolly that they don't have any of. They were in the process of remodeling their store or something. No room to manuever inside. The rental agreement attachments they sent me by email could not be downloaded. The copy they gave me at the store was too small of print for me to read. I tried to open what had been emailed so I could enlarge so I could read. Because I couldn't clearly read what I had I returned the truck at the return location late (about 2-1/2 hours)
Patricia CImprovements needed: Fuel the truck, provide the ordered supplies, don't make it the customer's problem to drop the vehicle off if your lot is full and return phone calls you say you're going to return.
Randall JU Haul shipped them the wrong size trailer, it was too small and i had to mess around for a few hours to find the correct trailer......
Craig PTurnover of the rental was rather fast as I did my reservation at the last minute, so the back of the truck was in need of a serious sweeping out when I picked it up, but other than that the gentleman that rented me the truck was very courteous and knowledgeable. Service at this little station was excellent.

Larry HBetter training on the computer and checking the trucks when people bring it back. The one we got had a dead battery when we went to it pick . The clerk didn't know what to do. After we sit their for 2 hrs. He decided to jump it with his own car. He was rude and frustrated.. He also couldn't give us any info on who to call if their was a problem with dead battery when we stopped the truck. Our moving was delayed 2hrs because of this.
Jill SThis was a drop-off at a gas station/mini mart. There were 2 ladies working that were very polite had no idea what to do. I think these ladies need some more training and communication from U-Haul. There was no assistance to help park or unhook the trailer. I wasn't even sure U-Haul knew I had dropped it off. I left a msg on Yakima store phone to let them know. I kept thinking "what if someone stole the trailer and I would be responsible for it" 11 days later I get this confirmation email. There needs to be better communication and better instruction for customers and the 2 ladies at the gas station that knew absolutely nothing.
tonja fThey wanted to charge my credit card for an additional twenty dollars. They persisted saying that I was late in returning the trailer, even though I returned it a day early. I would appreciate a refund for the day not used
