We booked for a location 0.2 mi from our home and less than 3 miles from our new home. U-Haul called us the day before telling us the truck we requested was not available at that location, and asked us to drive to a location 10 miles away (which would be much further with the interstate). They would not wave the mileage fee (they said they could reduce the rate, but it was adding at least 20 miles to our move and fee). They then magically found a location 3 miles away. Five hours later, they asked us to go to a location now 5 miles away, but we had no other choice. We arrived at the location to be given a contact number that went to an inactivated voice mailbox. We, along with another customer, waited 15 minutes for a return call. There was no live person to talk to and no instructions from U-Haul on what to do. The truck was fine, a little banged up, but the lot was next to a tobacco shop, and the only indication that U-Haul was around was the truck and a tiny lock box. It was disappointing all around, especially as we were not the only ones given this runaround.Joseph H.

The U-Haul system allowed me to reserve a furniture dolly, which I now understand is not available inventory at this location. The U-Haul online system should be improved to accommodate this.Alexander H.

The vehicle I reserved wasn't available, so I had to drive 30 mins to get a different vehicle. The supplies I requested and paid for weren't supplied. When I tried to get a refund for the equipment I paid for, they told me they'd get back to me in 1-3 business days with an attitude like I did something wrong, asking for a refund of something I never received.James M.
Awful experience. The customer service agents did their best to help so this is not technically a knock on them but overall terrible. My "Guaranteed" U-Haul was at a location that was not even open and available for me to get the keys to the truck. Spent over 2 hours at the site on the phone with customer service trying to contact the owners of the shop to no avail. No keys in the lock box. Truck was at the site but could not access it and after the pick up process, they said it was in transit and neither of the 2 customer service agents could even get in contact with traffic. Waste of time and could not even find another truck in the vicinity. Could not complete my move due to this.Mitchell L.

Knowing we are driving almost 2000 miles and paying over $2000...I expect working windshield wipers...the was NOT a wiper on the passenger side. In addition the inside windows were dirty...had to stop and buy windex and paper towels to clean so we could seeDavid L.
