The truck needs to have transmission service. The shifting between gears was very rough and made moving at a reasonable speed difficult. I am an experienced driver and this was the only issue. At the garage they told me that u-haul services their own vehicles.

two hours late to getting us our vehicle because they weren't open while our truck was sitting there and then had to stay on hold with customer service for an hour to then have them call the person working there (once they showed up) to approve them to give us the key because the system was down.

Make sure truck is ready . I waited about 40 minutes while the truck was at this location but had issues in the computer showing was at a different location . I was also told conflicting info about the rental from 2 different employees.

Not have the guy charge me for extra furniture pads and give broken or less than well maintained equipment, then charge me for that.

I am very thankful that U-Haul and Rockville Auto Boutique was able to accommodate me since the first location I made my reservation with was closed. I suggest that the corporate office for U-Haul revise their agreements with its contracted locations. Without warning my initial reservation (21384602) could not be fulfilled because the location at 4178 Industrial Place in Island Park was closed. My complaint here is that I made the reservation for a Monday morning van pickup the previous Thursday. I am sure the location is advised of any reservations made to avoid double bookings. Why didn't they 4178 Industrial Place notify me or U-Haul that they were unable to fulfill that commitment and that the order should be modified or canceled. They had all day Friday and Saturday to do so.

My first location that I reserved the van at was supposed to be open according to your website, it was not open! Luckily one of your representatives found a van at this location and reserved it for me. Because as we walked in someone was inquiring about the last van they had in the lot. I could have been screwed by not getting a van due to the folks at 500 ocean ave East Rockaway NY lies about being open on a Saturday

The only thing I liked about this location was its hours. My reservation was wrong in the system and the attendant told me there was nothing he could do and it would correct itself upon checkout. Guess who was the one who checked me out and once again, couldn't do anything about the bogus charges? Let alone he spent my whole check-in on a personal video call. Not uhaul related per se but the icing on the cake was when he directed me toward the Nassau Hospital employee parking lot for the lirr so after 18 hours of moving I got to watch my train pass me by and wait an hour for the next one (oh of course while I had my second 20+ minute call with the corporate line to get this corrected). Thanks uhaul!

Having used truck share 24/7 a number of times now, it seems that the vehicles are never properly cleaned. This is not location specific, it's seems to be an unfortunate consequence of the truck share program

But only because of the gentleman who help me was very caring and helpful in getting me into A rental when the truck I was supposed to have was missing the side view mirror. He went above and beyond to get me another one without any hesitation. This person was very knowledgeable and is certainly an asset to uhaul company. As I said before if it wasn't for him I wouldn't Reccommend this location at this time.

Idk but the guy at the place, I think his name was Todd, was EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL and, just as one example, he showed me how to get a GPS application that had routes for commercial vehicles. Very cool!!!

I went to pick up the truck and I was told it was at a different location. I asked for an address since on the confirmation email it didn't give a specific address. On top of that, when I first scheduled the reservation, the rep said the pickup location was in Island Park and I had to drive Rockville Center (not the same town). When I showed up to the gas station, the gentlemen turned to me and asked about the mileage. I said I didn't know (since I had calculated from Island Park) and he then went on a rant about how customer expect him to know the mileage. Then shared examples of past experiences and overall just took longer than usual to rent out the truck. I've used UHAUL plenty of times in the past, but this time, it sure dissapointed.

I was surprised by this location as I thought I had reserved truck at larger location on Maple Ave in Rockville Centre. After visiting the large location, I was informed of my actual reservation here. Services provided were excellent. The fact that you can refuel st this site is added benefit.

My only comment is that I left my car at the location with my keys and some one drove it 6 miles. I took a picture of my mileage before and and when I returned the truck I noticed 6 miles were added to my car. Unacceptable. No one has any right to drive my car without my permission. Thank you.

This was the single most ridiculous and disappointing experience I've had in a long time. Your app is horrendous — painfully bad. What is the point of automation when a step literally says, “Show this screen to a U-Haul representative at the sales counter to receive your key”?? Then my contract couldn't be found, despite my jumping through your ridiculous hoops (e.g., all the damn pictures and chatting with a remote employee who confirmed my face and called ON THE PHONE LIKE IT'S 1983 three people I know), and whomever the genuinely kind and helpful representative tried to call didn't pick up. So I had to walk to the next place for help, but they couldn't help me — they just gave me a number I had to call three times to confirm that, yes, I did book the rental of the identifiable van at the proscribed location at the (now over an hour later) time. Then I had to walk back and finally get the stupid van I wished I'd never rented in the first place because it shouldn't take this long or involve this much walking or be so archaic and silly. Your app SUCKS! Your only saving grace is your kind staff, who absorb criticism of your awful app and strive to provide decent customer service in spite of it. Stop making them be apologists, and get your shit together. As for me, I think I'll rent from Penske or Hertz or whatever from now on. You made me feel stupid, and I'm not. My experience was LOUSY!

Although where I picked up the van was easily accessible and the attendant was very friendly I did have one issue. The original place I had to pick the van up at was changed. I did not receive any notification about this switch. Luckily the new address wasn't far however I feel some notice of this change should of occurred. I do hope you listen and allow some notice to your other customers so the same will not happen to them.

Next time there should be an actual U Haul return location that is existent on my paperwork. There is no “U Haul” in Roosevelt, NY 11575 at 43 Debevoise Ave. Very frustrating experience of finding a place to return this rental without having to use extra mileage. The return in Ideal supermarket in Baldwin, NY at 865 Merrick Road was also useless.

You Should just give me 1 bill, I recieved a bill for $92 & change & when I got home on my computer aNew bill for $103.36. I never signed that reciept. They charged me once & then charged me after I left. A higher price.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had to deal with the only way this could be a better experience as if you didn't charge me for the rental everything was perfect. The staff was extremely pleasant as well as super helpful very accommodating. I would recommend anybody using this Uhaul rental service station.

The attendant made drop-off a 30 minute disaster. I had to argue about whether the gas meter (which I just filled 1 block away) was at 3/4 or 6/8. I showed him how the dial was halfway between half and full, that 6/8 was the same thing as 3/4. Then he took my original contract and never returned it. I will purposely never use this location again.

The gentleman eas very courteous and helpfull. The customer Service Dept was Awful… I was on hold for over an hour and went and was able to speak to a live person he told me to hold on to put me through another department which nobody picked up so I had to call back again and waste another 40 minutes of my time. The Attendant at the station was patient and helpful. However we had a problem checking out and paying our mileage fee of .44 cents. Spent 30mins waiting for the computer to complete our order. Super frustrating and uncessary. Please note the app was not allowing me to complete the drop off. Would not let me go past the odometer reading and picture.

Rented the Uhaul on line, and schedule the pick up at 360 sunrise highway in NY. Went to pick up Van and was told that my reservation pick up is in Missouri. Also told that i cannot leave Van in Delaware, so i had to drive an extra 50 miles to drop off van in Swedesboro N.J. Was not informed about this when booking on line.
