I made this reservation more than one month before a move across the country. You claim you give 24hrs notice for â€œpreferred pickup locationâ€ changes- however 6pm- ie- end of business on a Friday is unacceptable to change someone's preferred location from the coast of Massachusetts to basically Vermont for a Saturday pick up date. Had I not started making an issue about this before you called me to tell me where to pickup, this would have ruined my ability to move. You cannot claim to â€œmake moving easierâ€ if you do nothing in terms of logistics to make sure the equipment is where (or even remotely close to) your customers request it. The woman at this pickup location was kind, she knew how far I had to drive on a Friday before moving / driving across the country. She informed me that the car trailers that I requested to move with â€œsimply aren't up hereâ€ & I was lucky to â€œfind the one I didâ€.KRISTINE J.

Originally uhaul directed me to elite vinyl for a truck and the lock box wouldn't open. Robust is next door and the owner of this business went out of her way to try to help us open a box for business that wasn't hers. She contacted the district manager and tried other calls to assist. Meanwhile the owners of Elite were not able to be reachedâ€¦, We ended up renting a trailer from Robust for the week so the move wasn't a complete disaster. Uhaul needs more representation like Robust and should discontinue working with Elite Vinyl.Matthew H.

Although I was very pleased with the pick-up place, I was furious with the customer service/scheduling department. We ordered a 26' truck from the Keene, NH location and received a text the day before that we needed to pick up the truck in Manchester NH over a hour away in the ice and snow. The representative was unapologetic and said the only other option was to pick up truck in Hinsdale, NH and it would only be a 20' truck.Marilyn S.

My trailer pickup location changed but the new location did not have any moving blankets which I had reserved. Don't know who is responsible for notifying the new location to ensure that all the optional equipment is available but it needs to be clear to the customer that ALL the reserved items are at the new location.Nicholas S.

This particular location is and wasn't a safe place to leave my vehicle while I rented the U haul because my car was vandalized. Neither the company or U HAUL would pay to get my car fixed! I gave both U haul and Robust business only to get back vandalism on my car! There should be a fenced in area where people can keep there car over night. I think it's pretty bad that U haul could not take care of this issue with your insurance that's what you have it for. I will never use U haul again!!Kathleen H.
You're online order Express pickup is horrible, I filled out the information online including the credit card and still was required to present it once I got there then fill out information with two other people known associates with their phone numbers why can't that information be on the online form so I can fill it out as you said in your thing express!!. Express to me would be I would come in I would show my ID they'd say Mr Esposito we have your rental here sign here it's all paid for because you put your credit card in online and we have all the other information back up to this trailer or this unit with this number will help you connect it test it check it have a nice day goodbye. The pickup location was excellent that people were excellent I believe U-Haul corporate can do a little bit more in their express forms and paperwork. The drop off location in Hamden was excellent people were friendly assisted me a taking it off the back of the vehicle no problems whatsoever thank you.Andrew E.

Equipment was poorly maintained/negliected to the point that it caused a fire and the tire exploded. We were told 1 hour for replacement equiptment to arrive to the accident location. We spent FIVE AND A HALF hours wothout shade, food, water or restrooms on the side of a very busy/dangerous highway waiting. We got sunburns and dehydrated. When we returned the replacement to the original location, they just shrugged. No apology, no refund, nothing.Virginia H.
