I already paid the pre-payment of $281.33 by card online before picking it up. The day that I picked it up, I decided to get insurance for the truck which came out to $34.09. I used the same card that I used online for the pre-payment. The lady told me that because it was a Pay Card (meaning I can add funds onto it and then spend) that I had to pay $100 deposit. I asked her if she was able to cancel the transaction, so that way I could just pay the $34.09 in cash. She stated no that she was not able to cancel or back out of transaction. I did not have the $100 deposit on me and had to run to an ATM to get it. She stated that she would only stay for 5 minutes! This is a rural area and takes 5 minutes just to get to my old house! Luckily, she was there when I returned and we were able to finish the rental.

On my contract I had to call when I got to the town I was returning. It was closed and had to do online checkin which was fine but i didnt feel like that it was in a safe location for after hours drop off. Would have preferred to know this and had someone go with me.

I was actually coming from Colorado springs to la junta for pickup. I tried 3 or 4 times between 11:30 am to 1:30 pm to let them know I was running late. No one answered and no one returned my messages. I got there at 2: 07pm only to find that they closed at 2:00pm. I had to go through all kinds of hoops with the uhaul reps and down grade to a smaller truck but in the end I was able to get a truck and the reps over the phone were very helpful.

What I was very displeased about was that I requested a tow dolly for my trip, when I went to pick it up, the attendant had 1 tow dolly on the lot. She said a trailer was all that was available even though their was a tow dolly on the lot. She said it was going to be rented in the next 20 mins. I asked if the trailer was the same price as the tow dolly bcuz it wasn't available and I had ordered it ahead of time. She said no. I had to pay $185 instead if $70. Quite a bit of difference in price! That leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I will let everyone know this shady business practice.

I was told that I had to have two telephone numbers in order to rent a appliance dolly.Really? Many people do not have two phone numbers, Creates alot of paperwork and a headache.

At time of pickup, I was charged for two days of use for truck. I turned the truck in about 7 hours after pick up but was not refunded for the extra day of use or insurance. I beleive this to be a totally unfair practice and intend to take this matter to the Federal Trad Commission.

I did not notice until I got home, loaded up and was ready to begin my trip that I could not adjust the side mirrors, as they require a certain kind of wrench. By the time I was ready to travel, the UHaul location was closed so I could not go back to get the right tool to adjust the mirrors. Adjusting the mirrors properly should have been part of the check-out procedure. It could have been dangerous not having adequate visibility on the passenger side of the truck.

The wire for the lights was loose ans kept coming off the adapter, I had to keep stopping and pushing it back into my adapter. I noticed part of it was missing.

All was well until we went through a huge rain storm in Ohio. After we unloaded and returned the truck we noticed our suitcases were wet and all clothing was soaked. Luckily we only required a dryer. Just thought you should know there was a leak in the truck.

I reserved a 24ft truck to move my house two hours away they gave me a truck 15ft I know I had two trips with 389 miles its over 119 miles one way I had to make 3 trips because no one had the truck I was reserved should the website know when there are trucks not available the transmission was shot sticking had to let off the then on the gas to get gears to switch and because I so a 15ft I made three trips and to put 200 in gas. Then the office open on website to return it to was closed at 11 am all week so I dont know if they have returned in the computer I put it there after the closed. I ended up with 500 miles and I feel if I had been given the size above or a size below the 17 ft even I would have been able to get all one load or to and I will be in that office tomorrow morning to speak to someone face to face because I shouldn't be charged for the extra mileage or or the extra day and trip I had to make....have the websites correctly and I was charged 300.00 then refunded for the 24 ft charged for the 15 ft now I'm gonna pay double that and not compensated for time and money I had to use extra

I trusted that it was clean when I hooked up and headed to my loading point, only to find a one inch layer of black potting soil covering the floor. I had no broom at the loading point so I had to take off me shirt and use it to sweep it out. My $1,000 white mattress is black on one side because of the dirt residue. I love on a fixed income and can't afford to replace items like this like some are.
