My original pick up for both the truck and tow dolly was at 73 Whittier Drive Mastic Beach, NY. I was notified the afternoon before that the pick up for the truck was changed to Riverhead and the tow dolly was to be picked up on Nesconset Highway Smithtown, NY. It was terrible. My arrangements to travel to these locations was difficult and meant my adding much unnecessary driving on to my trip Called on my way to Florida and was told I could drop the tow dolly in Fort Myers instead of No Miami. Uhaul neglected to tell me that there would be $180. Additional charge for doing so. I delivered the truck and tow dolly to No Miami the original destination They had so many dollies on site and did not need another one. Uhaul was able to change sites as they wished with very short notice. Difficult company to deal with as they stated if I wanted the truck I had to go and get it and than go get the tow dolly By the way I got charged for extra miles too Ship your belongings. I picked up and returned my truck from/to the Gulf gas station here in Riverhead. Upon pickup, it was the attendants first day and, even though I completed everything online, he was unprepared on how to manage the rental and didn't know how to process it. I found the truck to have dirt and hair all over the cab. When returning the truck, there was a different attendant. He also had no clue how to return the truck and asked us to step aside while he helped other people. I waited for nearly fifteen minutes as he ignored me to help other people. Finally I left, found the Dropbox and just left the keys in there. I followed up with a call directly to uhaul to explain the situation. Great customer service through uhaul directly, but the worst rental situation I've ever encountered at the store/location level. For future rentals I will only go directly to uhaul locations.
