When arrived sign said U-Haul closed for several days. I had to use the U-Haul app on phone to take delivery. What if I didn't have a smart phone? I should have been notified of closure.David W.

I've never had a worse experience in my life. It honestly has nothing to do with the location, they were fine, so sorry for the poor review there. It was entirely the company as a whole. I got downgraded from a 20 foot truck 5 minutes from my house to a 15' truck 1.5 hours from my house a day before the move. The CSR said that the original quote would still be honored because of the invoncenvenience and I got approved for 550 miles due to having to make 2 trips now instead of one, along with the extra miles needed to pick up and drop off. That was not at all the case which I found out after! I ended up paying almost $500 more and no one could explain why after multiple calls to customer service, but most of them ended giving up and assuring me that I would end up with a credit and the original quote would still be honored. It NEVER WAS, nor could I get anyone who could do anything about it! I also, paid for dolly and pads which I had to go to a separate location to pick up, another 40 minutes out of the way, and never even got the pads. Thankfully I got a $50 credit for that. I will NEVER deal with the company again, and I would advise you do the same. I've never experienced such a thing, and am appalled that this company is allowed to be in business with these types of practices.Bryce B.

For the 24/7 customers they need to be aware that they have to create an account on their phone prior to picking up the truck. If I had known this I would've save myself 40 minutes of trying to pick up my truck instead I spent that time making an account taking pictures of my face License and worst of all at 5:30 in the morning they called my two alternative contacts I was not happy and they certainly was not happy.Arthur P.
I had to call customer service in order to get the â€œpick up my truckâ€œ button to show in the app. According to the confirmation email I received the button should been already there. This delay caused with the slow website caused the pick up process to be approximately 1 hour making me almost late to pick up the keys for me new apartment.Theresa K.

I wasn't a fan of the 24/7 check in. It took about 45 minutes to get up and running. We tried calling customer service and could never get to someone. Finally after the 45 mins we suddenly were checked in. Otherwise, we had a good experience. Uhaul customer service even gave us some extra time because of the issues we had checking in.Jennifer H.

This location was by far the best in the area. They were helpful, and very flexible. Jen was great at resolving an issue that arose while making the reservation. It was very annoying that the Burlington location stated they had a tow rental available when I made the reservation. Once the reservation went through I received an email after with a different location, and I different time. It had completely disrupted the plans, but Jen (from the Ricks Towing ) resolved and went out of the way.Stephanie B.

When we arrived, truck was covered in snow and ice. The snow and some of the ice was cleared off, and a good amount of ice was left on the windshield. We were told to put on the defroster and idle in the parking lot until it was ready... the lock was frozen on the back and we were told to put a hammer to it when we got home... we did this and even with a hammer it was time consuming to get it off. Upon returning home, we received an email with what we were charged. We were charged $32 in fuel for using 8 gallons, traveling 28 miles.... this is humanly impossible unless this vehicle received 3.5 miles per gallon. The truck is advertised at 12 mpg. Furthermore, we used 5 gallons rather than 8; 8 is what they put on the receipt. After calling to resolve this we were hung up on. Before going to this location this morning we had a 9:30 am reservation at one down the road. When we showed up, no one was there. We took the day off to make this move. At 10:20 I was called to say they were there and "sorry we're late." I have never written a negative review and don't ever complain about things like this, but this was a pretty ridiculous situation all around.Marissa L.
