This is a review for the COMPANY not just this location - I would not recommend this COMPANY to anyone. At all. If I could give it 0 stars I would. First of all - my reservation, that was made in may for a trip in July, was moved from the location I initially chose to a location that's more than 30 minutes away about a week before the trip. Then Two days before trip I was contacted by the company and unfortunately I was working and unable to answer. They sent me two additional confirmation texts with the wrong reservation days. So I went ahead and contacted the company to see what that was about. So apparently when you call a uhaul location if they do not answer in a timely manner your call seems to be transferred to a corporate switchboard. So the woman who I was initially connected with was actually unable to help me. She attempted to transfer me to scheduling at the location of my rental and I was subsequently transferred approximately 10-15 times. From Orange County to Fresno when I was renting a trailer in LOS ANGELES. I gave up on the transfer chain, hung up and attempted to call the location directly again, a man answered and because I had my phone muted for a moment I was hung up on after 5 seconds. I called back & finally made it to the line at the location I would be picking my rental up from and the gentleman who answered (same one that hung up on me) was quite rude & tried to transfer me AGAIN so I requested a supervisor. And someone in the background audibly laughed at my request and I was transferred anyway to the first woman I spoke with. I explained to her this entire thing and she apologized and did what she could to help me. She was able to confirm my reservation days and locations. I realized during packing that 26ft was going to be to large so I asked if there was a way to downsize my rental to 20ft. She went ahead and found a 20ft truck for me and confirmed that rental. So fast forward to moving day. My spouse and I go at 12 to pick up the truck, when we arrived at the pick up location (the 3rd location my rental has been moved to at this point!) and THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THAT SIZE TRUCK IN THEIR INVENTORY. I will say that this woman was especially helpful. She agreed to wave any cancellation fees and re-reserved a 26ft truck because at that point there were no 20ft trucks anywhere. So we were off to the fourth rental location. As we were going I spotted a true uhaul location (because some are â€œauthorized dealers & others are corporate owned locations) and I figured since they're connected better maybe they could help me out also as we were driving by I saw a 20ft truck and figured I'd ask. After I told him my story the man at the counter (had manager vibes but idk) basically told me that reservations aren't guaranteed and there was nothing he could do. So at this point I got stuck paying $200 more than I actually needed too. Granted it's partially my fault I should've chosen a smaller truck but you live and you learn. So we moved on to the last location. The man was like â€œoh you're taking that one? Great I just got it back like 30 minutes agoâ€. And then when I requested the 24 moving blankets that I ordered he only had 18 and was like it's okay they don't care about the blankets. When dropping the truck back off the attendant who inspected was like hey you're missing moving blankets so it'll be a fee. We told him what the renting attendant said and he backed off about it. So overall this was an awful experience. I will never ever in a million years recommend or use this company for anything. My move was pushed back an entire day because of the run around I was put through . TL;dr - Uhual transferred my rental farther away than was ideal, transferred me around CA for an hour and a half because no one could answer a phone or figure out how to help me. Provided some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And then rented me a truck that didn't exist. Failed to completely fulfill my reservation and then attempted to charge me for it when I returned the truck. 10/10 DONT RECOMMEND.JANPAUL A.

Not bounce them three times to different pick up and drop off points. Have the businesses that represent you actually know what they are doing. Actually honor the $260 discount that an area manager said he would grant after the nightmare of renting from you. Give the 12 furniture pads ordered and paid for instead of only six. I am writing the CEO of UHaul and tell them the entire thing and also why I will NEVER rent a UHaul again.Steven S.

That had a right side mirror that was busted wich made it hard to back up trick with no sight Was charge for an extra day when they were closed on Sunday and charger for gas when I fill tank and topped off it's not about the money cause these extra charges can really effect some people I rent from u guys pretty frequently but reconsidering my optionsNelson O.

I don't appreciate Politics at my truck rental place. They did not follow Covid practices. No gloves being used. Masks were pulled up to below nose when walking up to employees. No hand sanitizer available. Rental truck was not wiped down or cleaned with any disinfectant after employees entered vehicle. Did seem to care about any COVID related protocols. Employee that helped me was wearing a Trump mask.Manette M.

First, I had prepaid the rental online to pick up the truck a walking distance from where I was (Devonshire in Charsworth), then it was changed to Northridge where they clearly did not know what they were doing. It took me almost 30 minutes just to get the keys go the truckjadhiel G.
This experience was an absolute disaster and the employees at Ricks Diagnostics are rude and unprofessional. I was given one deal over the phone with the U-Haul representative. When we got to ricks diagnostics the equipment we were promised was not there. They gave us a different van and sent us to a different location to pick up the proper dolly. We brought the truck back 2 days early, and they charged us two separate timesâ€" the second time for $89 a day for 3 plus mileage. The original deal was for $99 for four days including mileage. I put in a dispute with my credit card company and intend to call firstThing in the morning to try to settle this situation. I would not refer UHaul to my worst enemy at this point. It was a little unclear where I needed to pull in my vehicle when I got there, since this was an auto shop location, but once I arrived, the staff confirmed that I was in the right place, and helped me out quickly.Kelli M.
