First, I had to wait to pick up the vehicle because the only person in the office had an appointment at the DMV. I left the facility around 11 am. I returned 2 days later in the middle of the day (approx. 12:00 in the afternoon) to drop off the vehicle and the owner told me to "GO BACK OUTSIDE AND LEAVE THE KEY IN THE DROPBOX." When they finalized my order, they said I dropped the keys off in the evening in stead of noon (12 pm), so they charge me for another 24 hours. When I called about it he played the victim, yelled at me, and said I was being mean to him because he's Asian. Go figure...Eric M.

I really loved how easy it was. Lady at the counter was reassuring and helpful. I will be using again this summer as my move from apartments approaches. The office pup honestly made my day. No obvious place to park or leave a vehicle while renting in town. Van had poor all season tires which made for very nerve-wracking drive in Vermont winter. The self checkout worked well, but now I am getting tons of spam messages to my cellphone and this is the only new place I've given my cell number to in months. Not sure if coincidence or not, but I will be keeping a close eye on the credit card I used.John G.

Only issues I had were one the dolly I ordered was not all ready in the van... it rode like a donkey down the road for some reason and I went over the milage even though my pickup point start point destination and drop off were recorded... I took a less then quarter mile detour to pick up a stove... seems a bit much but oh wellScott D.

The Uhaul itself was in great shape. We chose to do online/contact free pickup to keep it simple, but made sure to select pickup and drop off hours that the place was open just in case. Between bad cell service and some technical difficulties we did need assistance, but nobody was at the place during their supposed hours of operation. We were able to get some assistance on the phone but it took nearly 30min in total just to pick up the truck. Certainly not ideal!Heather T.

In contrast to our experience in Rutland with people who don't care enough to maintain COVID-19 precautions and hostility from "Erica A." in "traffic," Rent a Wreck of South Burlington's staff person (Sara? I'm sorry I did not get your name!) was a consummate professional, very friendly and helpful. She knew the right person to call to straighten out the so-called "wrong drop-off location" fee and late fees U-Haul charged ME because U-HAUL had no open space in Burlington for us to drop off the truck, tried to divert us to Waterbury, and we refused to take the time, energy, and gas money to drop off the truck there. We only had to explain the situation to Rent A Wreck's professional once. She immediately called a person who authorized her to waive these ridiculous charges--almost $250.00 on a $118.00 rental. Although this location is great, I am going to think twice about using U-Haul again following their attempts to strong-arm us into agreeing to last minute moving day changes to our contracted-for drop off location. If I were you I would insist that U-Haul give you a drop off location when you pick up the truck and hold them to it.Melissa T.

Reserved a 15' truck with a car dolly - the traffic dept confirmed that the dolly and truck would be in two locations. When we picked up the truck there was a dolly right next to it but we weren't allowed to take it. Once we were able to pick up the car dolly the 2nd location wouldn't guarantee it would be there for us as we were approx 1 hr late. Ended up not renting the dolly and cancelling it.Tom D.

Get rid of all the ashtrays in these trucks! The left over smoke smell is disgusting and renters "cannot" get truck aired out enough to rid ein it long distances. The old smoke smell does "not" come out of the interior- regardless of how well the trucks are cleaned. This was a very clean truck too - Many non smokers are very sensitive to odors and the old smoke was nauseating. Excellent Uhaul owners and experience!Donna G.

There wasn't anyone there when I went to drop the trailer off. I called the number and they said they would not be back until the next day. The front door was unlocked and there was a rental car sitting in the lot with 4 doors open. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that said out to lunch. I called, and was informed to wait 45 minutes, or come back later. Complete joke. Was then given a tow dolly that the ratchets didnt work the way they should have. Was a nightmare securing my vehicle because of the worn out straps and ratchet.Robert H.

Windshield needed cleaning inside and out, otherwise clean. Ice and snow on roof...flew off several times during trip. Other comment is about reservation software...I ended up pay0ing for a furniture dolly and blankets that I am quite sure I did not check off. Apparently since I prepaid it could not be modified at local office. SDavid K.
