This is a very difficult location to find and even harder to navigate alarmed truck and trailer in and out of.charles B.

The box-van was sticky everywhere. It was never cleaned, I had to use a whole large container of antibacterial wipes to get grime off the steering wheel, seats , dash and even the ceiling. The air conditioning stopped working 30 minutes into my journey. Then the engine light came on. This vehicle was never gone through for any cleaning or safety inspections or it never would have had these problems! I feel very taken advantage of. The 11 hours of stress driving this junk pile which cost me $1025.00 for 500+ miles makes me wonder if other rental company's would respect the customers safety and comfort more than Uhaul!James R.
Knocked me $65 for a gallon of gas and the location is hard to find, they closed early and had to re-open to get me a truck and the place is nearly impossible to park a 26 foot truck in. Won't be back to this location. Would drive twice as far to avoid it.PHILIP P.

I reserved a truck at a different location and the day before they changed it to further away so as a result I would have ended up paying more for the miles. The man at the corporate way location was very helpful regardless !SHAYLA L.
The owner of this location was terrible. First he rented out the truck I reserved, when I arrived and began taking going through mobile pick up, he screamed at me repeatedly that my truck was rented. He proceeded to make me wait for 45 minutes while he rented out said truck to give me the keys for another mobile pick up option. When I asked questions about my pre ordered dolly he again gave me an attitude. When I asked about after hours return he was also extremely rude when all I asked was the location of the key drop. This experience added an hour into me even getting started moving. Will never use this location ever again!Arianna C.

At least the trailer was ready when we went to get it. The employees seemed very frustrated and unhelpful on the phone, each of the few times that I called. Their customer service (friendliness) was very poor.TIMOTHY G.

Everything was fine except they gave us the wrong vehicle which made it take longer than we expected and then I left one of my water bottles expensive water bottle in the vehicle and it disappeared. Ordered a box truck. Was told a certain number , but the truck wasn't there. The key box was #2 but key code worked only for #1 and then I wasted 20'mins trying to start all vehicles. with the mystery key . LolGarrett T.

This was the best rental experience I ever had. The owner realliy cares about hs clients. Tucked in behind a street in Costa Mesa, this is the best rental place ever. I will definitely be going back. Would not go anywhere else. Thank you so much!JILL B.

The man who works there seems very off, he's unprofessional and rude. He makes the weirdest comments that make you want to take a few steps back. The reviews that say "Manny was great and proffesional" are most definitely fake. If you're in the area and have the time to go in and see the weird guy I suggest it purely for entertainment! Definitely check your receipt if you rent a truck because he's a fan of, "if there is something wrong I'll send you the bill, just go". I feel sorry for the guy, seems genuinely unintelligent.April H.

This was the worst U-Haul experience I have ever dealt with. Between the unprofessional gentleman behind the counter the minute we walked in, to making it a just as an uncomfortable return of the truck, it was all irritating to say the least. He also called us names. Never again.JACQUELINE A.
My experience with U-haul company was the worst!! I couldn't return the truck because the website couldn't find my location neither the app was taking pictures!! It took 35min for someone at uhaul answer the phone!!! I was sitting in the truck for 45 (FORTY FIVE) minutes trying to return the truck - after 8 hours of work, tired - and then I just decided to drop off the key as the attendant told me to do it. On Monday, the app was saying that I still had the truck!!!!!!! I rented on Saturday!!! Nightmare!!!Marianna D.

Customer parking is a problem, especially since multiple trucks were parked on the street. Customer representative was responsive and helpful. Only able to rent truck from this location; had to go to another location to pick up car transport which was inconvenient but thankful U-Haul was able to come through with the rentals because it was very iffy for awhile. U-Haul claimed not enough trucks in CA; should have driven trucks from other nearby states to get more trucks in!MICHAEL B.

Once checking out , the only person working on site was not professional. Said I owed $88 in change with me knowing that they charge 99c a mile. I calculated the miles & it was way less than what he put on. When I corrected him he said I still owe 88. I told him to check the miles again & with attitude he went & found out I was correct & adjusted the price. I'm sure I'm not the 1st person he's done this toRICARDO N.

The person, Manny, needs training in customer service! He is rude and treats U-HAUL customers like they're renting tools and whatever things he rents out at this shady place. You need to check out Yelp and find out what other U-HAUL customers think of this person. I will never go to this location to rent a U-HAUL truck!JOSE D.

I will never use the app again. Equally, the location is simply not safe. There was a homeless person living in one of the U-Haulâ€˜s, or at least, popping a squat. The owners of this location need to make sure the customers are safe when they pull up. If I could attach pictures to this review I would so to show you what was going on. It took me 30 minutes to get the app to respond properly and I was literally sitting beside a cell phone tower and I'm a tech savvy guy. Pictures of this and pictures of that, it was an absolute nightmare. Chalk it up to a bad connection or whatever ya want but the homeless trans and slow response was bs. U-Haul has always been good and I will just go back to my normal U-Haul rental at my normal location. This was not easier at all. Nuff said.Scott S.
This location first made me wonder if anyone from Uhaul even visited this site prior to authorizing them as a provider. The guy there was completely rude and couldn't understand basic concepts of customer service and even went as far as threatening to cancel my reservation for â€œnot complyingâ€ because I wanted to place my card on the desk rather then reading it loudly to him with people standing outside. I'm very thankful that I won't need this service anytime in the near future because I will research other alternatives before I ever experience anything like this again with your service providers.katrina F.

I waited over 20 minutes with the store open. After which a gentleman by the name of Manny said "you just leave the keys", followed by a phone call from the same gentelman asking if I took 5 gallon paints or dumped it on the side of the truck. either way I did not appreciate the accusation. Things started off a bit rough because I thought I was renting from one location but the reservation was placed at a different location. The C/S rep at the first location wasn't very sympathetic or helpful. When I arrived at this location the COVID protocol made the check-in process a bit cumbersome, but we got through it. Manny was very helpful, especially when I returned the truck. The truck was in perfect condition and functioned beyond expectations. The size was for a one-bedroom apartment move. Overall good value and good experience.steve T.
