The men here were loud, lazy, rude, and extremely unprofessional. They didn't t put in effort into helping us, didn't wear masks, and only spoke Spanish. They didn't have the dolly we rented and charged us anyway. We had a specific timeframe for our move and they were a half hour late and took their time to get the truck. They didn't even tell us how to turn the truck on, we had to ask someone else for help. I would NEVER return or recommend this disgusting place.LARISSA C.
No changes are necessary, the u-haul rental transaction took less than 15 minutes, I'm extremely satisfied and will absolutely recommend this location to anyone interested in renting a U-haul, this is now my go to location as I will soon be renting again for my next donation of furniture. The guy was very very rude. I got there and was waiting for him to walk back from getting someone's car. He was on the phone the whole time having a conversation . When he got there there was someone ahead of me, then it was my turn to go in and he had a Spanish lady skip me. He was speaking in Spanish and I said I was next he said in a harsh voice parking !!!. She laugh and he left and took her money and went to get her car. He never spoke to me other than to say ID and Credit card. Someone came in for parking he took their money and gave them their keys. He printed out my form gave it to me no signature required. Normally you sign the form. He did Not ask for a signature gave me the keys and point the truck was outside. I said that it and he waved me in in annoyance. All he said was 7pm bring it back. I brought it back at 6:50pm and I gave him the keys and asked is there any paper work, he jumped in the truck jumped and waved me on in annoyance and said no. I got a linked that said click when returned, I did but felt unease about this UHAUL place and the worker. I called general UHAUL and they asked me if I returned the truck I said yes about half an hour ago, she said it not in the system.I said I clicked on linked and I took a picture that said truck returned. He charge me for insurance without asking if I wanted it. It was optional. This guy Never spoke to me other than saying ID and credit card. I have been to UHAUL places and this was never the procedure, they walk with you and check the vehicle together then pass you the keys and the same thing when you come back. I was on the phone withIHAUL for an hour until they confirmed that the truck was returned but I could not get back my money until I filed a claim and it is not guaranteed I will get it back. THIS PLACE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE WORKER IS RUDE AS HELL AND STOOD ON HIS CELL PHONE ALL THE TIME. I will never go back and will tell everyone I know not to give this place business ever.vanessa H.

I reserved truck for 8:00 but was told when i got there that the Uhaul guy doesnt come in until 9 on Sundays. Also i ordered a furniture dolly, he confirmed that when we got the truck. When we got to the house, no dolly. I tried calling a couple of times, no answer. When i returned the truck and told him that the dolly was missing i was rushed out and was told they would adjust it. Yet, i was charged the $7.00. Its not alot and with moving i really didn't have the time to keep trying to get my 7.00 back. I will no longer use Uhaul again.Anthony I.

The 10 ft truck had the tire pressure light on the the vehicle didn't feel safe on the highway also the latch for the rollup gate was difficult to close and the gas gauge was not working correctly, also the passenger side door would not close correctly, if you put it back on the road someone could get into accident,tommy M.

Partner with locations that accomodate your 24/7 truckshare option, which is a wonderful, highly conducive option to the needs of the consumsr today. Ensure that the support staff at said locations understand how the truckshare option works and very importantly, have the periphal equipment on site to fulfill the requests made in the online reservation by the consumer. They wrote the incorrect drop off time on my receipt charging me 2 rental periods instead of 1 as per my reservation. The case was resolved by uhaul customer service, but they should provide some form of proof or receipt that correctly reflects drop off time upon drop off of the vehicle.Maria F.

I returned the U-Haul via self checkout around 2 am and the worker at the lot did not understand the concept of self checkout so he held me up for almost 30 minutes past 2 am. I was tired from moving all day and just wanted to go home. Furthermore, the truck itself had many check lights on from tire to passenger doors indicating they were open when they were closed and locked. The worker on site earlier in the day insisted this was not an issue and had me leave with that same vehicle. I was cautious and also uncomfortable feeling that U-Haul would try and blame any issues on me or that I would end up on the side of the road with mechanical issues. Despite this, the worker insisted it was okay, so I took photos of everything before departing. Overall this was a stressful, tiring, and horrible experience. The gentlemen in charge was not present at the time of picking up the vehicle. There was 2 other gentlemen ahead of me. It was nice that I could drop off the truck after hours, but the site was dirty, cramped, and no one spoke English on site which made it difficult to explain that I was trying to return the truck. I was actually charged for parking overnight after returning the truck to the right location! All in all, not a great experience.Abraham S.

I hated this location average because of the level of communication. I called the day before to confirm my reservation for a 10' truck (at 8am). I was told to be there by 8 and the worker dedicated to releasing the trucks was not present. I waited 45-60 mins to be serviced. The person I was waiting for never arrived and another worker from the parking garage helped me. The location is convenient but moving forward I would go to a local UHaul storage unit location that rents their trucks, not a third party location.Kimberly G.

I am documenting my recent rental experience with Uhaul for the purpose of two objectives: 1) confirm that I have returned the truck within 24 hours and settle the final receipt 2) articulate pain points through the customer experience and hope that U-Haul takes this feedback as opportunity areas to improve and does not treat their customers this way in the future Three weeks ago, I made a reservation #24119939 online for a U-Haul truck from Chelsea in NYC to University City in Philadelphia thinking that I was all set for pickup and also thinking to myself how easy the reservation system is (boy, was I wrong and headed for the worst customer experience I've ever had with a rental company). On Friday, 6/19, (1 day prior to my actual rental), I get a text that the truck that I reserved from Chelsea was not available and that I had automatically been reassigned to pick-up from a parking lot (yes, a literal parking lot) in the Bronx which was over 1 hour and 15 minutes away. After calling the Chelsea office (and was told that they did not have any availability and to call around to other offices), I called Brooklyn (said they were also out of availability) and New Jersey (nobody picked up after multiple times) offices and was not given any other options - I asked multiple times to speak to somebody that manages regionally and was told that this person does not exist. I was also told this is the policy that they can randomly reassign your truck during the last 24-48 hours and you can't really do anything about it (I had to proceed anyways since I didn't really have another option at this point given I was so close to move which was in less than 24 hours after I called all the offices). On 6/20, Saturday morning, I make the subway / bus trip (since I don't have a car and live in NYC) out to the Bronx, it takes me about an hour and a half, and I arrive at a very sketchy parking lot (RD Parking - 2155 East Tremont) covered with barbed wire and which looks like to be a combination of an actual parking lot, the makings of an auto chop shop where random repairs / old cars are being taken apart, and a few U-Haul trucks. I had self-selected the online check-in because I received multiple emails from U-Haul and it was advertised on the website as the most effective and safest way given COVID-19, etc. I submitted the information I was asked for before I arrived to the parking lot (selfie picture, front and back of my DL) and was given a message that it was pending approval. When I arrive at the parking lot, some attendant in a makeshift office hands me the keys and tells me that my truck is in the way back of the parking lot (I walk back there, find the TM #3404R truck that was not clean, worn down, half-fueled and also stuck behind other cars), and then after I am already in the TM 3404R truck, I get a notification on my phone that the rental truck was updated to TM #5839M) probably since they realized that.
