I was charged $740 to rent a trailer for a day and a half. I was told I would receive a refund at the drop off location if I did not keep the trailer for 4 days. When I got to drop off location, I was told they lied to me....uhaul doesn’t give refunds. BEWARE! Ripoff!

This is the first time I rented a U-Haul. I called the day before to ask what needed to happen and someone on the phone told me what I thought I should know. Next day, the location seemed to not know that I called, they went straight to angry because I guess someone didn't put it in the system or whatever, and then the totals were different from what I discussed on the phone the day prior and nobody is talking to me or telling me what the hell is going on. It was a very uncomfortable situation but I had to suck it up because my movers are waiting for me and I have to turn in my lease. In the end they gave me a truck they initially told me they didn't have available? Like how does this happen?

The inside smelled like cigarettes, the staff was rude, and didn't actually allow me to rent the van until after the time that was indicated that they opened

Customer service experience was very poor and rude. Christy the young woman who did my paperwork with me was very rude and short fused. I have rented more than enough times from uhual and have never had such a rude and unpleasant experience. No matter what the customer is always right and you treat them with respect not like a little child whipping her computer screen back towards herself after I questioned the drop off the location that I had already set up. I have spent a large amount of money at uhual and I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated by this woman. She needs some retraining or for the best to be fired but it is a shady run down family business where I am sure they hire only people they know. She had an immature attitude like a snobby brat. Also people smoking inside where you do paperwork was wrong and added to unpleasant experience.

The front dest lady was super sweet but the manager was extremely rude and hard to work with. Very angry and unhelpful
