I do think the advertising for â€œ19.95â€ is deceiving. Still ended up paying $78 for the rental not including the high price of gas (another $70) that needed to be replaced even though I started out with a half a tank.Nicole N.

Drop off was a little confusingtrever O.
Pick up - woman at the gas station had NO idea what she was doing. Took 30 minutes to get the Uhaul, as she couldn't figure out the technology. Then 15 minutes after leaving, we get a call from Uhaul that she gave us the wrong truck and we had to turn around and return it. The furniture dolly that I ordered was not inside of the truck. Upon returning it, Uhaul randomly changed our drop off location to somewhere 45 minutes away. (Our original chosen drop off location stopped participating in Uhaul but this was not disclosed). I called Uhaul to change the drop off location to the previously agreed upon location (unaware that they no longer accepted Uhauls) and customer service told me to go aheadâ€¦. And drop the Uhaul off at the gas station that no longer participates in Uhaul. Upon arriving to the gas station, we were yelled at to leave. We found the nearest Uhaul center and dropped it off there, where we were met with hostility when asking where we should drop off the truck. 0/10 would not recommend Uhaul to anyone.JULIA W.

Location was good but trying to get online customer service it's a nightmare! Totally disappointed also my reservation location was changed twice 20 miles away so at the last minute I had to deal with thisOscar B H.

The owner of Raos Citgo, 2551 Rte 44, Salt Point, NY 12578 was extremely helpful. Even though I returned the rental via my iPhone app, he still went out of his way to make sure everything was submitted properly and was confirmed via his iPad. I can not thank the very nice gentleman enough who assisted in the return of my UHaul truck at 2551 Rte 44, Salt Point, NY 12578 on 4/17/21. He was extremely nice, helpful, and pleasant. He also offered us any free drink in the store that my ride home and I chose. I was so thankful for him and his customer service that I tried to give him a $20 tip, but he would not accept it and only wanted to assure I had a great UHaul rental experience. It is because of him that I will continue to use UHaul for all of my family needs. Gracias.RONALDGRIFFITH W.

I was charged multiple times. I Had to call three different times to talk to someone qualified to figure a way to refund me. Additionally the trunk was not clean and during a pandemic I thought more care would go into cleanliness/sterilization.Berit R.
This location was great, however, it was 45 minutes away from my home and I had to then go to another location to pick up my trailer! So two separate locations to pick up my uhaul items! At least when I dropped the items off, they gave me a $40 credit because it was far away. I got no compensation for going so far to get my items to begin with .Christine R.

the truck was loaded with stuff I did not order. it was 23 miles away so I did not want to bring it back, they told me to drop it off with the truck. Two hand trucks one dolly and 30 or 40 moving blankets. I did not realize how many times I would be moving them out of my way. I did not need the hassle on a 2000 mile trip.BRIAN O.

On line I was able to book a dolly and moving blankets but when I picked up from the location they said they didn't have any of those items. The renter should be able to be informed at the booking if items are not available.Matthew T.

The woman who was in this store had no idea what she was doing. She had me waiting for at least twenty minutes while she called someone to verify the uhaul. She did not come out and check anything on the uhaul and I asked her if she was doing paper work she told me I did everything online but my portion has nothing to do with the condition of the uhaul, mileage or how much gas in it. The uhaul was sitting in mud so I had to climb through the passengers side, the inside was completely disgusting! Filled with dog hair and mud. You could tell the animal was all over the windows so I had to wipe them clean to even complete my hour and a half trip to cohoes NY. The windshield wipers were not in good condition needing new blades and the truck was never swept out, I had to also do that. My preferred location was in the city of Poughkeepsie which would have been a five minute ride and I had to drive twenty minutes to go get this uhaul and drive twenty minutes back. I was not satisfied at all, I have never experienced such a mess within this company.Nicole B.
gas station attendant could not get her phone to work and kept trying to flip the screen by shaking and turning her phone saying she was stuck on a certain screen and it wouldn't let her chose the town i was moving to. I got to the location 10 minutes before pick up time and didn't leave until 20 minutes later. when i left she still had not completed the transaction but called someone I'm guessing from U-Haul and told her to let me go since i had prepaid and pre-checked in. they are not organized or efficient at this location at all.katelyn O.

The brakes on that truck need servicing, there was quite a bit of vibration from them. Otherwise everything about my experience was excellent. Raos was easy to deal with and my truck was clean and performed well. It just needs new brakes.Jordan H.

The truck was disgusting when I picked it up. Every U-Haul representative, whether at the location or on the main customer service phone line, gave me different rates for the same thing. I feel like I was overcharged and the entire experience was immensely inconvenient. There was no gas station near or on the way to my drop off location, so I had to waste a lot of miles just to fill it up. When I went to drop the truck off it was also after hours and the online prompt to return it was giving an error. I called customer service and was waiting for 40 mins before someone answered. This has to be hands down the worst experience I ever had with a "professional" business. I regret not using a home Depot rental instead, given my previous business with them was less expensive and FAR more convenient. I want my money back.Amber B.

I was injured but even if I wasn't, there are many situations where the client needs help with the equipment. At this location there was only one person behind the counter running the store and I relied on the kindness of equally crippled people to help me hook up the hitch. I think the way to improve it is have a person available to represent the equipment. Also, I had to drive two separate places 30 minutes apart to pick up my rentals then back to the first location to pick up my car. It seemed a bit much.ERIN W.

It is 20 miles from my purfired location that adds quite a lot of extra caust to this rental. And that is not right. Plus a lot more driving. I am over all looking for a better solution to the problem of lack of rental equipment in my area with u haul.henry K.

Generally went smooth but this was a 12' trailer with double back wheels and there was no lift, jack or personal to assist with getting the trailer on the hitch. (the attendant was alone in the store and could not leave her position and had no knowledge of how to help.) I had to ask someone who was a customer of the location to help me lift it on the hitch. When I asked for a receipt for my purchase she said her printer was not working and said that I could get it on line.Richard V.
