Would have liked a printed copy of the receipt; but it was apparent, they don't do that. Most people moving dont have easy access to a printer & squinting at an emailed cellphone size copy isn't what I prefer.

Though I would recommend this location, they did not have they # of blankets that we reserved and paid for. They only had 5 of the dozen we reserved so we had to go to Escondido to get the remaining quantity needed.

My daughter showed up to return the flat bed trailer. They wanted to charge $15 or 50% of the rental fee because she hadn't swept the dirt. I said I was on my way to sweep it... 5 min drive. The uhaul guy said no, that I wouldn't be allowed and he was charged the cleaning fee anyhow. He couldn't wait 5 min even though the trailer wasn't due for 2 more hours. He processed the $15 within minutes and didn't allow me to go sweep it. Horrible customer service. Horrible way to treat people. 50% rental fee penalty for sweeping, when I was coming in 5 min to do it. Outrageous.

I purchased the mattress cover online when I reserved the truck for $3.95 plus tax. When I got there the owner said I didn't so he charged me $21.95 for the same item! I was charged for the item through my bank so I don't know what the deal is. I feel ripped off.

Truck was extremely dirty and in unsafe condition. Windshield needed to be cleaned before driving due to buildup of dirt and bird poop. Multiple dash lights were illuminated including service engine and ABS light. Front end shook and vibrated violently at various road speeds creating a very unsafe and unpleasant driving experience. Will not be returning to Uhaul for any future business. Extremely disappointed in the cleanliness and unsafe condition. Also, was charged for two days rental and insurance after original contract was for only one day. Uhaul representative contacted me on Saturday 9/20 saying I would not be able to receive truck by time promised on contract and instructed that I should just pick it up the day before. Upon arrival at rental location that day to pickup truck, the dealers computer system was down and it took over 45 minutes to complete pickup. All the while my wife and young child were sitting and waiting. There was no mention of any additional cost until after returning truck to rental location. Very unprofessional customer service.

Clean the vehicle, maybe get an air freshener? The inside of the cab and box smelled like smoke. The outside of the truck was filthy. The gas tank was less than half full, despite the u-haul business being run out of a gas station. The agent was kinda a jerk, wouldn't let me add another driver (easy to do over the phone though), and was generally rude and impatient.

Booked this over the phone. On the phone representative informed me to ask for my military discount in person...the person at this location (Authorized retailer) said there was nothing he can do and that I need to speak with the people I return the trailer to.

On 9/9/2020 I rented a 20 ft. U-Haul for a friend to move from Ranchita to Ramona (approx. 80 miles -- no deviations taken per driver and movers). Truck was clean and maintained, working as expected. Truck was returned at 5:44 pm (9/9/20) (Note: I was not present when the truck was returned so I cannot verify discrepancy in mileage) but millage billed appears to have been altered (billed for 104 miles verses the approx. 80 miles used) with the final invoice reflecting 104 miles being eventually billed. Millage to Ranchita from Ramona (round trip) was approx. 80 miles (no deviations taken, travel and unpacking time verify driver usage). U-Haul receipt for use of truck electronically forwarded at 1:54 am (9/10/20) (verses 5:44 pm when truck checked in) and contains no explanation for the deferred billing. (Truck was returned within normal working business hours meaning the receipt should have been electronically forwarded instantaneous.) Because I was not present when truck returned, I am not able to verify millage inconsistency with gas station attendant. (I also filled the tank with 15 gallons of gas before leaving the gas station, so it is unlikely the gas gauge was reportedly correctly for the full stated millage claimed or billed.) I am not happy about the delayed electronic billing receipt forwarded some 8 hours after the truck was returned, NOR am I pleased with the 24 additional miles added to the bill, but the discrepancy is not enough to file a dispute. I will not be using any Ramona based U-Haul service providers when doing business in the future. Please forward this review to the owner of the Chevron station I rented from and U-Haul management/headquarters and I will follow up with a Yelp review. Thank you. Susan Klat

There where water bottles and flip flops in the truck when I picked it up

The truck had some debris that was minor but annoying. The pickup place should have dealt with this. I moved 2 items that didn't cause a mess. Nevertheless, when I dropped off the truck the agent made me sweep it out. The debris could was very minor but I had to sweep the truck. It took less then 2 minutes but it was humiliating. I've many times with uhaul, you need to treat your customers better.

Have the equipment people reserved. Now i have to buy a plane ticket, reserve a truck. take the 1300 mile drive again , just be cause a 26 ft was not available..

This is the only U-Haul in the area so if you need to rent a truck you have to get it here. We had issues with a previous reservation for this same move. Different people gave us differing information. It was very frustrating and stressful. The truck ran well but was not clean at all. The truck had trash and dirt in it.

Chevron would not let me take a 15' truck I ordered, saying it was reserved. I had called a Uhaul appointment manager and she said she would switch my reservation and I believe she was put it under a different name so they never had my info. I alway rent from you guys at least 3 times a month. I had to use. 10 ft. When I got back that day with the 10 ft truck there were two 15 ft trucks that had never left the station. I am renting another one today For the 11th and really hope it's going to be there like it says.

Bad hitch cables . Uhaul Should provide plug adapter . I come in to drop off the trailer at 9:20 pm the clerk said Uhaul is closed but I could just drop it off in the yard on my own. Luckily there was a homeless person saw me struggling to disconnect the the trailer and came to help.

Improve customer service. Agent at pick up was unfriendly, complicated and condescending. Different agent at drop was rude, unhooked the trailer, threw it on back to its spot and walked off. No “everything looks fine” no “thank you.” No eye contact, just walked away to his convenient store.

My experience at this location was great. However, I had originally reserved at Ramco Ramona location. Ramco did not have the trailer available at time of pick up, then lied and said UHaul headquarters had changed the location of pick up.Which I verified that UHaul had not.

I booked this trailer 6 weeks prior to my intended pick up. I received a call the day before that the San Diego location could not fill the reservation and that I would have to drive 50 miles to Ramona CA to pick up the U haul. I will never book a UHaul again. The fact that you accept reservations and do not honor them is absurd.

Poor gas mileage. Only filled to 1/4 tank upon obtaining the truck - should be 1/2 tank MINIMUM, had our reservation wrong and we had to clean broken glass, debris and dirt from the back of the truck before we could put anything in it!

I believe the customer service was just fine and I had absolutely no complaints. I do also believe that there is a policy that is not customer friendly, I picked the truck up at a Chevron and the gentleman explained me that the truck only was a quarter full of gasoline. Not only was it an inconvenience for me to have to stop and get fuel but of course I had to over filled the gas tank as I'm dealing with a truck that I have no idea how much fuel we're looking at. I believe that this is just a tactic for additional income. I brought back the fuel with not working not to not the quarter tank of gas that I was supposed to bring back but with an additional 4 or 5 gallons. At the end of the day it's only $15- $20 dollars additional but I believe instead of supplying the client with a full tank of gas then having them come back to the return location Which also happened to be a gas station in order to fill up. Not to mention the additional time it took. That right there would've been more customer friendly versus what I experienced. I will never refer your business at this point. I will be writing a review on yelp. This policy needs to be changed. Todd Jackson
