You need to do proper servicing of all vehicles after each rental and fix them. This truck had no proper a/c...transmission problems...loose headlight...You need to listen to the folks who rent them when they tell you what's wrong
Larry K.I booked the uhaul trailer online for pick-up in Cranbrook. Thank goodness I called to change the date, because the person on the phone told me they actually have no uhaul trailers in Cranbrook. I had to drive to Creston to pick it up, which is over an hour away, and the person at the Creston uhaul did not apologize for the mixup. If I hadn't called ahead, I would have had no way to get the trailer on the day of my move. The website needs to be fixed, it allows customers to make bookings that aren't actually possible.

Up to this point with all of the issues trying to get the truck and every interaction I had with uhaul was the worst. Booked a truck for pickup in Cranbrook was called the day before I moved that I had to pick up in Sparwood which is 2.5 hours away. Then was told by a rep in Cranbrook at the Van Horne location, I had to cancel my reservation in order to book a smaller truck with him. I could then not get a hold of him after that, I tried 30+ times. Booked again online to pick up in Creston 1.5 hours away. Went to pick up and was treated terribly by the rep in creston.

You can do you jobs properly so that when someone finally gets to that location they don't have to sit on hold for 2 hours waiting to talk to someone because the guy she waited on hold to talk to the day before forgot to put in her discount. You can care that you ruined the entire day and move for your customer instead of ignore her emails.
Tara W.The agent charged me the mileage rate from Creston BC to Sparwood BC but the destination was Hill Spring, AB, with the truck dropoff in Sparwood, So when I dropped off the unit I was faced with a $200.00 extra mileage charge. The five hour drive to my destination cost about $550.00, too much in my opinion.

Mel M.Had 1 choice to return trailer on the far side of Calgary. The other location was not even in Calgary. Drove over and the place would not take the trailer after I waited a hour for them to open. He contacted uhaul and guy said he would call me In a few minutes Didn't get a call. I called uhaul and waited 40 minutes, told the lady they would not accept the trailer. She hung up on me and didn't even call me back .I went to the uhaul 3 blocks from me and he took the trailer. Plus the guy in Creston told me I would get reimbursed because I only need the trailer for a day. That was wrong !!! Simon's Valley guy was the only guy that helped with excellent customer service. So what do you think ? Is this what kind of service you would want ??? 3.5 hours to return a trailer pfffff . Wanna pay for my gas ?

PERCY M.I dropped the trailer off I have a cart also but didn't leave it there because didn't want to leave it in the trailer it could get stolen. I will drop the cart off on Tuesday when they open. That's the only problem I had everything else went well very happy thank you.

PERCY M.We were told to return by 5 pm today Got there @ 4:36 to find it closed On top of that were told we owed 46.18 for fuel when the same amount was in the tank at drop off as was in it at pick up An additional 4 hours of driving in a snowstorm because we were told it needed to be dropped off in Creston instead of Cranbrook
Micheal N.Receiving a call 24 hours prior to pickup that my original request could not be honored created huge logistical challenges and 2 hours of extra driving to pick-up the vehicle I needed. The additional mileage granted fell short by 15 miles which was an additional annoyance!!!

UHAUL should pass on THEIR compliment - to her , and one from a 25 year 'moving business' UHAUL customer ... for her traffic control , with excellent service for UHAUL, and for customers !

Claudia C.After I took the Uhaul Truck from Montreal. I got a call saying that my drop off location had changed from Cranbrook, BC to Creston BC. This is not what I agreed to when I took the rental. Dropping off at Creston instead of Cranbrook in winter conditions took me an extra 1.5 hours to drop off the rental. When I called to complain I was told that I would receive a $50 credit on my credit card that I used to rent the truck. I never received this. I had to drop off at Creston because the Cranbrook location was full which is not my problem! Why did I have to pay with my time and gas money to relocate the vechile when its not my problem? Then not to mention I had to drive back as well in another vehicle. Someone better call me and atleast sort out the $50 credit that you forgot to give me.

JAMES D.Online pickup was for 9:00 am. Process online was NOT functioning. Called fir assistance. After 45 minute wait the person said to go back to truck and she'll call in 15 minutes to assist with pickup. Over an hour later she called. We didn't get our truck until after noon. Frustrating. Oh you bet. The Creston office was not open to assist us. Will we use uhaul again. Absolutely not.

THOMAS W.It would be ideal if the truck would have been full on pickup, so as to be able to get on the road without having to fill up. The tank was at 1/4 full. This makes it very hard to bring the truck back at the same gas level. It's much easier to bring a rental vehicle back full as we got it vs 1/4 full (as we actually got it). Also, we had been quoted .89 per km, but we were charged .99 per km (1.59 per mile), which adds up over a distance of a few hundred kms (as we did do).
COLIN C.The sales rep was very helpful. The tires on the trailer were however boarder line dangerous. The equipment should be required to meet at least minimum safety standards.
DOUGLAS T.I have used Uhaul twice and Practicar once in the last 2 months. Janet in Creston has been absolutely amazing. She even stayed 45 mins late on a Friday when I was late coming in from Nelson and called ahead. Very stressful move but she made things so much smoother. Good people.
DARRELL G.Great customer service shows when unexpected issues are dealt with in a professional way and Janet in Creston did that for sure. The first issue was that the trailer I had reserved was not available at the last minute. Calgary reserved and guaranteed a smaller one on the date required. Unfortunately that trailer was not functional. Lights not working and not properly plated. Janet went above and beyond working with Calgary to get me equipment that allowed me to get the move done on time and with reasonable cost.
