The problem is, I wouldn't recommend UHaul at all. Easy to reserve, but the no contact to retrieve keys for pickup with the app is beyond the worst app ever. First, trying to navigate where you need to start the process for pickup is ridiculous. There were 2 different families trying to locate. Once found, neither one of location locator would work, nor would the ability to scan sticker. After waiting for the location yo open with our first reservation, they did not open at 9. We waited 15 minutes. Then we finally canceled our reservation and reserved at Quinn storage. If you are going to have an app for all your reservations, you definitely NEED a easier way to navigate you app.
scott BYour app is useless. I did the steps, took the pictures, sent the contact information. You called my alternate contact, and then, nothing. Total silence. No calls. No texts. No email. We called “customer service “, they were useless. In fact they hung up on us, twice. Chat through the app? Useless. Told me to shut down the app and sign back in. That ended the chat and didn’t work. If Quinn’s owner hadn’t been there in a Saturday afternoon, we’d still be waiting for our truck 2 days later! If we’d had ANY other option, we’d have taken it. Your online “24/7” program is terrible. Fix it. Now.

Breonnah SEverything about this experience was wonderful except for the return. I returned after hours but the process was not explained to me at pick up. I had deposited the keys before starting the check in process as it has been many years since I have rented and that was previously all that needed to be done. I then did the return process on the app and realized there were many things that needed to be done that I couldn't do because I had locked the vehicle and deposited the keys. I am sure I will get charged the fee but after a stressful day of moving, this was an inconvenience I had not anticipated. I guess lesson learned on my part but it couldn't have been better explained at pick up.

Edmund GWhen returning truck wasent able to complete what was asked when using the app not sure now if my return is completed.
Marcy HWhen I booked online it said a certain amount of miles came with the rental rate. Yet I paid per mile, had to gas it up, which I was around 30 to 40 of my own cash. The actual rent on the truck was the one reasonable amount. My guess is you don't cultivate returning customers.
Nichole BThe U-Haul app was painful. Most people would consider me pretty tech savvy, and I still struggled with this app. I had to take my picture at least 10x for the live verification to acknowledge it. The app timed me out more than once as I was uploading things. The live verification call to the person I listed (who was sitting right next to me) took almost 15 minutes alone. The equipment was clean and in great condition, I would just highly not recommend using the self service/the app until U-Haul has worked out the app's issues. *On the flip note, I was able to check the equipment out sooner than if I had to go to the SW store -- but you really need patience to use the app.

Kenneth BVehicles were not numbered as in the app. Took 15 minutes to find the correct truck. My truck was 50 yards away from main building at end of row of garages. Truck should have been parked out front ready for pickup. Very frustrating.
Chad SWas not attended at all even thou it was supposed to be open until 6pm. Again had to drive over an hour out of the way to drop off even though there are two huge U-Haul sites in Iowa City
Russell SVery helpful staff, they made the process very easy when the u-haul app made things very difficult.
Robert YI will never use the agent-less access to a uhaul again. It took an hour to get the uhaul. Add every person you've ever known, then asks for a copy of your rental agreement like I carry that with me? Then 20 photo uploads on return as well as manually entering in all the data... terrible....

Kathleen MThe girl who checked us out was very nice and helpful and the man (owner, possibly) was, too; however the truck itself could definitely have been better. We have rented from here three other times, but this 10 foot U-Haul truck was probably the worst truck we have ever rented. The ride was so bumpy; it definitely needed new shocks. The tires basically were bald, but luckily in July it didn't matter. We are renting another truck coming up, so hopefully the next one is better.
Christy GJust be sure that the equipment reserved is at this facility for pickup. This time it was, but for the previous reservation for this location I had to drive way over to the west side of Cedar Rapids to pick up my truck. All was good for this reservation, though. Staff was friendly and helpful, which I liked!

Dennis HEvery time I have rented in this location, their "system is down", which seems to be an excuse at this point. My most recent vehicle was covered in sand and what appeared to be crushed Doritos. It also stank as though it had been transporting live stock.
Matt SDropped key in box, they were closed before 5pm. Then saw sticker on box to take pictures of the odometer and the truck. Too late for that when the key was already in the box. We had to guess at the mileage and no pictures.

Martin AThe app was not working after payment is authorized. When reserving the it automatically chose to do self pickup option , the dealer was available and after trying calling to customer care , after one hour dealer gave the key . The app was not showing the key code , when called customer care they said they are facing issues call after 30 mins . Very bad experience on a working day I had to come back to work within 2 hrs . I would not recommend app to anyone , may be we need to try in person with shop to pickup vehicle .
UMESH SThe app was rediculous! There were keys from a previous renter in the cup holder, I left them there.

Terry GThis was the worst experience I have ever had with U haul. The lock box and virtual pick up was awful. It took me almost 2 hours to get my truck because of the process and having to get support to help me. I had to pay my movers to sit and wait for 1.5 hours which cost me over $200 extra. I will never use U-Haul again!

RANDY CWe picked up the truck Saturday around mid-day when Quinn Equipment is normally closed. I don't really like using apps and online-self service stuff, I like to just go in to a counter. There was no one there, they were closed, but we called the number for the location and a guy answered and was able to get us helped out over the phone. What could have been a very stressful situation was a minor inconvenience. Very happy with the service and everything.

michael kThe staff member we worked with was friendly, professional, and helpful. This location is very conveniently located in Marion, near our home also. My only concern was the large areas of frozen and bumpy snow/sleet across the parking area when walking up to the office. Be careful!
