They told me to simply leave it parked, and did not come out to check the gas or mileage. I had filled it up, but later I saw that they have charged me for gas. I called them and they assured me they would call U-Haul to get the charge credited. That has never happened.

The 15 foot moving truck was not clean, it had dog hairs inside the cab and the cab was not clean at all. I had to spend 30 min cleaning the moving truck. In a COVID environment you would expect that a small, confined space would have to undergo a through cleaning and quality control to ensure it had been cleaned, but there was nothing of the sort for the truck that I received. the Quick N Easy market person did assist in cleaning the vehicle, he did use a blower to clean out the back of the truck and cab. He also was using alcohol to clean the cab area, I had requested 24 furniture packing pads, but only 19 were available. The moving truck had about 3/8 of a tank of gas and when I checked the fluid levels, I asked for additional windshield washer fluid, only to be told that they don't have any. The truck instructions say that you should check the fluid levels during your trip, but U Haul does not provide any oil, coolant or washer fluid to be able to replenish if needed. After I got the truck, I found out at 50 mph on the highway, it has a very high pitch sound that was with me most of my 300 mile trip, very annoying. I cannot tell how U Haul checks their trucks, but the one I had should be test driven and checked. Checking the truck back in was a better experience, I was not able to check it back into the original location, so I had to use an alternative location which was further away, I did get an additional 10 mile allowance to return the truck to the new location (I did have to ask for the additional mileage allowance, as I pointed out that it was further away and I did not want to drive all over Phoenix to return their vehicle, as I did have a mileage limit I did not want to exceed. Overall, my experience was not a good one with U Haul, I will certainly look for other companies if I have to use a moving truck in the future.
